Thank you, this is the first video I've found on how to get the fairing off, I have this exact same model and it's been sitting about 10 years....wish me luck
Thanks for this vid. You show the work. And some things that only you show are tricky and very aggravating if you try to do it the wrong way!!! Mine is the fuel injected model "limited edition" and I can't find much on it.
To easily get the bike on the centerstand, stand on left side of bike. Use your right foot to lower centerstand to the ground and rock the bike gently to get it squared on the stand. Then while pulling on the left grip, stand up on your right foot and rock the bike backward. Your weight on the centerstand is what pivots it backward onto the stand.
Wow, this is what I have to look forward to on my 1983 goldwing 1100 interstate. I just bought it and the gas is runing straight in to the piston and out the exhaust. One carb I'm pretty sure its plugged, either way I hate the idea if getting into it.
Your float is stuck! You can actually fix this by riding the bike off a curb a couple of times😂 obviously it’s better to just open it up and do the carbs though
I have the same wing. Same color even. Been working on her when I can. Just rebuilt the carbs myself. If you haven't already, make sure you check the secondary air system out. Thats the metal pieces that look like a spider under the plenum. There's also a little diaphragm under there too. Check that also. Get a 4 gauge sync tool too if you don't already have one, and sync the carbs. I just got one off Amazon for like 60 bucks i think....cheap, but works good. Whichever one you get, make sure it comes with 5mm adapters. The gl1200 test ports are 5mm. Steve Saunders has a good sync video on here. Your bike is in great shape! Mine is a little rougher having lived it's life in Chicago.
did you soak the carb main body's or pull out the pilot air screws so you get all the carb circuits clean and did you check to see if the diaphragms had any cracks in them . goldwing carbs are very temperamental Ive been doing gold wing carbs for about 20 years so you need to make sure everything is really clean hate to see you take them off again because they don't work right
Would like to get hold of 1200. I've got a 75, 81 and an 83 Aspencade...1200s are pretty rare here in Australia I have a blackbird as well... In glorious candy apple red... Same as my wings will be... 😊
Easy bike i have an 84 and an 86. Dame setup one is cafe and one is bobber need any help let me know id love to help if i can even wiring have my own diagram.
good video. buy a J.I.S. (japanese industrial standard) screwdriver and you will never have trouble with those "phillips" screws again. this applies to ALL japanese bikes. p.s. if you have a tool kit that came with a japanese bike when new, it will have one of these screwdrivers in it, although it won't have any markings indicating it.
bmw 310 r vs 310 gs, please, looking for a first bike, might buy both been a good year for ya boy lol would have change too considering I wanted husqy surpermoto 🍻
Also if you haven't replaced your timing belts, better do that ASAP, you don't want to have done all that work, then trash the motorcycle because you didn't replace the timing belts, I recently just bought me a 1986 Honda gold GL 1200 interstate,I am going to replace all the internals I the carbs, I am going to replace all the hoses, flush radiator and engine block, tires, and all the engine seals that I can physically can, don't want to be on the highway and spring an oil leak.
Thank you, this is the first video I've found on how to get the fairing off, I have this exact same model and it's been sitting about 10 years....wish me luck
Good luck!
Thanks for the vid. I recently picked up an 87 and it has 5-year-old gas in it. I drained the gas. Next is the carbs.
Rebuilding the carbs one at a time, is a good idea.

Thank you for this video. First and only one where I can look for removing the seat. Greets from Germany.
Can’t wait to see the gold wing working!!!

The issue is if you don't weigh enough!

he said it was all set after doing the first carb n put on the bowl cover but there wasn't a float in the carb
Lol good eye
Nothing wrong with taking all the plastics off, you'll learn what you need to remove to get access to different components
I also have a 84 Goldwing and will never try to attempt that job. Where you at just in case I need you.😁✌️
Next time I feel like complaining about having to remove a fairing from my gsxr I will think of this video.
Exactly😂
Just the Motor and Transmission: how much do you think those weight?
When are you going to do a video about your bad crash a few weeks ago
I've already made it, I just can't post it yet
Why can’t you

You should definitely get a hayabusa as your next sport bike!
Also is RUclips, Instagram, and TikTok your full time job?
Right👀 yup!
I know about these old wings, if you want I can give you some info about some of the must replace items
DM me on insta please!
@@TheonlyrealChester will do!
Made a cheater bar out of 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" angle iron. It works nice for this old man. Ps, it is called an old man .lol

You don’t have a table, dude?
My dad has a yamaha venture and it pretty much as big as your goldwing and he calls it a water buffalo
That's exactly how it feels 😂😂
Your vids are so good you deserve more subs and followers if only everyone from tik tok would sub
Thanks bro, really means a lot! I know it'll get there it'll just take time

RUclips doesn't have everything. Download or buy a manual...
I thought it looked like an 84.... Description said 98..
Whoops it is a 84
Looks like you would repair a car haha
Right😂
Come over work on my wing motorcycles 👍
You doing erverything wrong with the dissassembly
this kid doesn't know much about this bike,I don't know what hes after but hes taking off more then he needs to to get the carbs off
This man doesn't think hard enough to realize I was doing more than just the carb
Don't lift the bike, push down with your foot. Easy ha ha. Only 350 kg
You just need to learn how to properly put it on the stand. I only weigh 150 pounds and can put it on no problem
First
You msde this look ez
Loving the RUclips vids keep it up 🤙
Thanks bro👊🏽
