I got to see JS259 his rookie year at Washougal. It was insane what he could do on that KX125. I also was at the legendary 07 JS7/RC Hangtown battle classic. Great times.

Agreed. Especially with how much power the factory 250fs make. Those things have to be around 50hp, that's pretty comparable to any 250 stroke on the market. Maybe they could add a no engine mods rule for the 2 stroke 250s to make them fair in the 250 class. Just pipes and suspension mods allowed. It would probably help privateers bridge the power gap with the factory guys.
If Not I hope PulpMx or VitalMx Creates a League within the field just like how they have Privateers race for points and be a champ according to their rules and a separate race The 2 Stroke Championship 125 and 250 2t Ranging through the whole SX and MX Season. We can literally have the best of both worlds Best 4 Stroke riders and Best 2 Stroke Riders. Basically a opening up a new gate with opportunities and the pursuit doesn’t have to be factor rides any more hell if there’s a damn privateer on a 125 and beating a factory 250f rider some calls will be made. The Sport is gonna grow and 2 Strokes will be relevant again.

Yeah it's cool, but they still have to qualify in the fast 40 in the 450 class in order to get into the motos.... there's probably going to only be 6 guys that will qualify on a 250 2 stroke. Unless nearly every fast privateer gets one, I don't see many guys capable of qualifying on one. Out of the guys I heard will be there, there will be about 6 guys. Since they'll be on the same equipment, you should get a couple guys battling back and forth on one. Carson took 15th overall in the 450 class last year at Washougal on a 2 stroke... almost finished on the same lap at Chase and Eli.

Nah, this a race for Privateers. And the $25,000 is Chump Change for Factory riders. Although Brown did get a RedBull Deal he’s not Factory but a Free Agent. So Racing is cool but the best part of Brown is his bike builds trickiest shit you’ll ever see and a riding style like no other. 2x 125 Straight Rhythm Champ I hope Jett can lead so we can watch this WEC style race as we “Unofficially” have 2 Classes.

I've been making this point they need to allow the 250 2-stroke to race the 250 4-strokes they race differently you take different lines corner differently ones high-revving one got the brute torque. Most importantly there's not just 2-stroke die-hard fans 2-strokes are much cheaper especially to race & maintain which will benefit the smaller teams & privateers. But also the normies look how few people ride compared to the 90's & early 2000's

It will be exciting seeing about 12 2 strokes in the 450 class this weekend crowd is lucky usually you will only get 1 to 2 2strokes in a national sometimes none fans are in for a treat
would love to see Jet or anyone for that matter on a built 300cc two stroke throw down some laps just to see the lap times and sector times. curious if the best rider on a newer 300 or heavily modded/bored 270+cc with all the latest and greatest parts could come close to a factory rider 450 lap time. for reference we watched a 250cc two stroke finish mid pack in supercross this season at least once , i think daytona. think the longer track favored the 2 stroke with more carried momentum.
I think the cc limit should be 300 for 2 strokes in 450 class after all they windged about emissions thats one of the reasons they apparently fazed them out..but most now are efi so whats there excuse now?? Alot cheaper to run a banger than a thumper for a race season??

The classes and races in our American Series will “Unofficially” have 2 Classes just like the WEC and or MxON Basically creating more opportunities and riders can branch away from Factory rides if they chose to do so. 2 Strokes will be relevant again. We can have the superstars of 250f and 450 Factory. And have 2 Stroke super stars of 125 and 250 2t. Creating new opportunities and racing dynamics. This Washougal round is the beginning of a new free era. It’s on the Table up for grabs.
Those 2 strokes need to be able to qualify first. As we have seen more guys do the mx races for SMX points the 2 smokers like MattyB have been failing to even qualify for the mains.
I think if marv and barcia show up on a 2t it will get more air time but sadly all the privateers fighting for that 25k might not have a chance. I hope not. Hope CB brings it home.

Should still be all 2bangas, 4strokes came into mx and said they needed to be double cc of 2strokes too be competitive. It used too bee 125 and 250 classes which they allowed 250 and 450 4strokes which was supposed to be for testing then they take over everything. Now it's 450 and 250. They stopped 500cc 2strokes racing because they reckoned it was too fast but then have brought back 450 4strokes which are just as fast if not faster. I ride 300 2stroke and it can leave 450 standing when out on trails or sand dunes. 4strokes sound like loud wetfarts and always want to be in straight lines and getting twice as hot plus heavier. You don't see any 4strokes racing in hard enduro. Shows how shit they are
Factory guys are cool and all but they have enough spotlight. My focus is the dudes on the 2 strokes. Besides recently racing has been kinda of boring, riders injured with the exception of last weeks race .
just because handa , kawi , and suckzuki killed theyre 2 stroke development programs doesnt meant theyre dying. 2 strokes are dominating's the off road off track scene, almost every bike in every top 10 of every enduro race is a 2 stroke. and now that honda,kawi ext bailed out there are companies coming out of the wood work to sell two strokes. 5 years ago most people had never heard of beta, sherco. let alone Husky and gasgas getting blown up after the KTM merger. 3 big companies left the market and 4 more filled they're spot. those big companies made the wrong call by killing the 2 stroke program, theyre sales sucked because they refused to innovate. no one misses them either. im a die hard yamaha guy but even yamaha is 5 years behind with no updates in sight to compete. The Sherco 250 is the 250 Yamaha should have built but refuses to. now im on a GASGAS because why buy a bike from Yamaha for the same price as essentially a ktm that has more features. if Yamaha comes out with a tbi 2 stroke with electric start and a kick stand ill gladly drop back down to a 250,2st to ride that sweet aluminum chassis with KYB sus.
Pretty fuckin lame of the big manufacturers to not just put up the cash period. Only if you win on one of their bikes? 2 strokes sales will go up no matter what
