    People can’t talk about Deegan without saying he’s worse than Jett. Whether that be true or not, that’s a hell of a standard to be held to and speaks for itself on how good he is. If you need to compare him to the best to try to discredit his talent, then he is one of the best.

      I don't think you can even compare Deegan with Jett. They just have such different riding styles.
      Jett's riding style is going to be extremely hard to beat. Even Hunter will struggle with it.
      Smokin Joe is the only person I think that has a similar riding style to Jett. I can't wait for him to step up to the 450 class.

      The only way to actually compare them is to look at the rookie seasons, not from this season now. If you do that, then Haiden is better than Jett going off of results. Done better in Sx and already has more podiums and better results in 4 outdoor rounds. Just stupid to say Jett is better right now, thats obvious. But given the way everyone in the sport is talking about Haiden, he's a big deal and the next big thing coming through after Jett no doubt about it. Yeah but saying he’s not Jett ain’t a dig at all. Jett turns 20 in a month. He’s been pro since 2020. That’s 20-21-22 pro years before Deegan went pro. Technically he’s 3 years experience ahead of Deegs even though Jett is crazy young. Back to my point, lol, not being Jett Lawrence is far from a dig. Jett’s a freak of nature. 100% all timer & might break every record. I don’t say that lightly. I truly believe he’s 1 of a kind. But I do think Deegan has the mindset, grit, & determination to atleast take the fight to him. A little bit like Webb did to Roczen for example. (Although Kenny had a career ending injury and somehow came back.) Kenny was the perfect talent and Webb, although less hype than Deegan, both have the same mindset. And I think Deegan could steal a 450 title from Jett head to head. Not by winning 8-10 races like Jett’s about to do. But win 3-4 races a year and just get on the box every weekend.
      Now if both (God willing) stay healthy and lean into a rivalry. Who knows it’s Deegans first year and he’s been insanely consistent with flashes of the speed and no fading so he could for sure get close to that elite Jett speed. And if that happens the both of them could take this sport from selling out 50k baseball stadiums to selling out 100k NFL stadiums like Dallas. And from being on peacock to being on prime time NBC for millions to watch. That’s my dream. Hope it happens. There’s a lot of great talent out there, but it is exciting as fuck to think about the possibilities. 🙏🏻🫡

    No doubt the kid can ride and works hard, but let’s be real motocross/supercross is a sport for rich people. Your average kids can’t buy a $10,000 bike, a trailer and a truck even with the help of their parents. Then to be able to ride all the time to get good enough to make it you need to have a track at home and be brought to all the races and maintain the bike. I once had all these things as a kid and then my family lost them in the financial crisis when I was 14, not a chance at getting good once I had no money for a bike, and no more land to ride on. You have to be extremely blessed financially to make it this sport. The average kid is lucky to get a beater bike to rip on the track every once in a while.

      You don’t need to go to all of the races…. You need to go to the BIG races with the best competition. When you’re not racing, you need to be training on the track doing motos and different sections and also in the gym working in Strength and cardio, running, biking, etc. those are things you can do free. You also don’t need a track at your house, you just need a local track near you that you can go to and practice every week, multiple times a week. Most local tracks have practice throughout the week and summer time it doesn’t get dark until 9 or so. Plenty of time to get school work done and then go ride. Almost every kid outside of Haiden that has ever been fast didn’t have what Haiden has, yet they still managed to put the work in and get to where they needed to be. It’s how much are you willing to put in and what are you willing to risk and how bad do you want it? Money is meaningless and you don’t need $10,000 to buy a bike, you can finance a bike and it’s not very much per month and most manufacturers have sales and deals going on where you can get full pipes and different aftermarket parts when you purchase a bike. Money doesn’t make you fast or slow, what you are willing to put in on and off the track does.

      Money isn't the be all to end all. Ever heard the expression, "Where there is will. There is always away" ? It's true.

Having money to buy bikes and trainers and parts means nothing in this sport, it’s about how much work you are willing to put in. You must have missed the part where my dad didn’t pay bills some months just so I could have what I had and get to the races. Some are willing to sacrifice it for their kids and some aren’t. Personally, I loved the time I got to spend with my dad traveling every weekend across the country, but knowing the financial strain it put on him when I got older, I wish he hadn’t, but he knew I loved it and that’s all he cared about. As far as my point about Haiden, the money only buys you the nice things but having nice things doesn’t mean you’ll be fast. If you rode, you know how damn hard it is for ANYONE. How much money they have is irrelevant when it comes to speed and talent. You have to be willing to put in the hard ass work to be at that top level like he is. Sure, ofcourse he has a better life than most, but anyone who knows his dad and how he came up knows that he worked his ass off and he wouldn’t just hand his kids stuff and make it easy. He made them work hard. Hell, they would rarely even buy Haiden a nice pair of shoes or phone. Dude had a damn flip phone up until like 2 years ago. It’s just irritating to hear people saying Haiden or any other kids with rich families only got to where they are in this sport bc of money. Now if he was riding around in 15-20th place and was like a 5-7th place finisher throughout his amateur career and still had the star yamaha ride then yeah, I’d say 100% it was bc of his dads $$ and all that. But he worked his ass off in the sport to get those championships and to get that factory ride and to get these podiums and wins his first pro season. (Sorry for the long comment)

    • @davidbiagi2932
      @davidbiagi2932 Год назад

      And it isn’t just about performing. He has to work out off the track, build muscle but not too much, get his endurance up for 30+ minute motos, be strong enough to handle that bike at that level for that whole 30 mins etc. Just because your outside life is “easy” doesn’t mean that you will be good at something, especially the top guy at your level. Anyone who wants to be at this level, rich or poor, has to be willing to sacrifice everything to get there.. it’s not a normal life for anyone and it’s not easy for anyone.

Not everyone gets that, and even those that do, don’t always make it. So huge respect to the Deegans on what they have done and continue to achieve, because as has been said, you still have to put in the work to be one of the greats. It does irk me a little sometimes though, when you listen to Jett talking about how poor they were, and i am sure they struggled, but they were only the poorest of the rich in the mx pits. The real poor kids just wished their parents had enough money to buy them a bike to ride, let alone take them all over the country/world racing. Secondly do you know how expensive racing is! All the top racers at lorreta lyns are extremely wealthy. With trainers since they started. The only thing special about deegan other than his skill. Is his dad Made him a influencer and allowed you to view the journey. His wealth and connection really are not that abnormal. It's a wealthy sport.

WE ARE ALL PRIVILIDGED. Just because deegan was a little more privilidged doesn’t mean we all aren’t. Keep telling yourself the only reason he’s where he is and your not is because of his dad and not because he put in the work and you didn’t

    It’s kind of weird to me how much hate the deegan family gets, Brian only has money because of dirt bikes in the first place. He didn’t come from money. Brian has put so much energy and life into this sport and he made it happen not only for him but for his family. Brian having money is not everything. Haiden works his ass off and has already accomplished stuff 99% of people can’t do even IF they we’re given the money that the deegans have. Money doesn’t equal work ethic, confidence, skill. That’s all something money can’t buy. Money can buy dirt bikes and cover travel and the best trainers but at the end of the day Haiden is where he is at because of the work he has put in and because he has something that most people don’t have when it comes to riding a dirtbike.

THAT DUDE KNOWS HIW TO ADAPT TO HIS SURROUNDINGS AND THAT IS NOT SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET ARE GOOD AT. Nice to hear a true Kiwi talking Moto. Awesome video brother. As far as Deegan goes, there are so many great athletes that grew up in privileged homes and had a father who helped them get to a certain level it's ridiculous,. Ken Griffey Jr, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Steph Curry. All those guys made it cause they are freaking phenomenal at what they do and they worked their asses off. For those haters out there, watch what happens with LeBron's kids over the next couple of years. All the advantages in the world. Best high school teams, great coaches and your pops is the KING. And there is no guarantee whatsoever that any of them are going to make it in the league. It's not about having dad open a door for you. It's about staying on the other side of it once you're through. Deegan has so much passion and such a work ethic he would have made it if RuPaul was his dad. Don't hate. Appreciate.

      Ummm what?? He led start to finish with Justin cooper and Hunter both starting top 5 and they couldn’t catch him. He’s also running the fastest laptimes or equal to them every race outside of thunder valley. You haters will say anything to try and discredit what he’s doing and how good he is. The Mfer got 2nd his rookie sx season in points and is 2nd overall outdoors and has podiumed 3/4 races. He came from dead last to 6th last wkd in the second moto matching the leaders pace while coming through traffic. You haters are so fucking stupid and so Fuckin jealous of this kid it’s ridiculous. How tf can you say he’s not a top 5 rider when his laptimes every race are either at the top or top 3 at worst? A rider going down one lap doesn’t make his lap times faster.. on top of that, he’s the most fit rider out there and while everyone else is getting slower late in the races, that’s when he’s running his fastest laps and making passes. You know nothing about this sport so just shut the fuck up and enjoy getting to watch a generational talent and future 250 and 450 champ. Stop with the jealousy and the hate, you just look so damn dumb. If he wasn’t top 5 he wouldn’t be second in points and have a podium in 3/4 races and wouldn’t be the fastest or top 3 fastest on the track every wkd. He would have one good race every few races, but he is top 3 every wkd. See how dumb that makes you look?

      Just by your name I can tell you’re probably a 13-14 year old kid. I’m guessing your family is poor so you’re just jealous that Haiden has a rich dad and you don’t. You’re also slow if you’ve ever even rode a dirtbike, so his insane speed also makes you jealous. If you want to get better, try quitting with the hate of someone you don’t know and start putting in the hard work on and off the track like Haiden did/does. Every current and former pro has said how good the kid is, yet here’s some nobody in the comments acting like you know better than the guys who are considered the GOATs of the sport. Name 5 riders faster and better than Haiden on 250s, I’ll wait… there’s only 2 you can say and that’s Hunter and jcoop. The rest haven’t managed to come close to him outside of maybe 1-2 motos.
