So I just found ur channel. I’m going to be cleaning my besties house. She’s like I am. We both r single mothers. She has 3 kids and I have 2. She has had about 13 surgeries on both her ankles and also has a brain tumor. She works all the time and when she gets home. Like most of us the last thing feels like doing is cleaning. Her house has gotten away from her and now it’s just overwhelming. She has 2 cats and 3 dogs. Between the kids and dogs. She doesn’t have a chance. When she tries to clean, she has to go to work or run one of the kids somewhere or just get overwhelmed and say screw it. So I’m going to start this week. Lord willing. Keep us in ur prayers that I can do a good job and help her. I’m also trying to start my own cleaning business. Figure this would be great advertising is I can complete it. What u done for this couple is such a blessing. U truly will be blessed Ur such a beautiful lady inside and out! Thank u so much for sharing. I needed a little inspiration today

If anyone is in the field of psychology, can you please explain why hoarders are not treated like other serious mental disorders that require guardianship or psychiatric holds? It seems to me, based on what I’ve seen in other videos, that they always end up living in infestations that end up in dangerous conditions, like getting burned on fire or spreading illness to them and the people around them. I even saw a lady on the news whose hoarding got out of control and was all over her front yard. The city official sent police and emergency workers to clean up and remove her items. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
Hoarding and OCD are 2 separate issues, but a person can have both at the same time. These disorders are treatable with counseling and sometimes medications and also a trained person coming in to help them make decisions, however apart of the symptoms can be severe denial and shame. The issue isn't if it can be treated (it can be), the problem is that people hide their hoard so others have no idea what is happening and also they will be in denial that they even have a problem. Its very sad.

Yes,it’s very serious! A nurse reported them and this is why they couldn’t return home until the mess was cleaned up.
