Probably the best video for this job on RUclips. You are the only one that actually showed how to take things apart. I was ready to give up before I found this video! Subscribed
Would this cause a battery drain on my e46 330cd if faulty? I've pulled the fuse out for now just now to see if it is draining it as apparently that's a common issue and I have no air coming put my vents
I don't think this would cause a battery drain issue, but anything is possible, pulling the fuse is a good way of finding a short where the battery is being drained, there are videos on how to use a multi-meter and pulling one fuse at a time to find a short that would cause battery draw. Look it up
Watched like 5 videos and found your video instruction most helpfully. Just fixed it, thanks!

Glad it was helpful!
Good job
Thanks, glad you liked it
The function of those little rods is just a heat sink for the resister.... Radiates the heat away from the resistor so it doesn't burn up so quick
Okay, that makes sense thanks for the information.

Hello, can you please tell me what is that electric motor you also removed before taking out that part, what is he controling ?
I believed it controls opening and closing of the vents or switch long from heater or AC
My blower works and i can see it spinning but now airflow comes out
Did you swap the final resister
