    The function of those little rods is just a heat sink for the resister.... Radiates the heat away from the resistor so it doesn't burn up so quick

    Would this cause a battery drain on my e46 330cd if faulty? I've pulled the fuse out for now just now to see if it is draining it as apparently that's a common issue and I have no air coming put my vents

      I don't think this would cause a battery drain issue, but anything is possible, pulling the fuse is a good way of finding a short where the battery is being drained, there are videos on how to use a multi-meter and pulling one fuse at a time to find a short that would cause battery draw. Look it up

      I believed it controls opening and closing of the vents or switch long from heater or AC

    My blower works and i can see it spinning but now airflow comes out
