      I think a person must be this way when they’re not a former player. She probably also knows that as a woman, she better be on top of her stuff, or people will criticize her more. Joy Taylor is also good at knowing her stuff. Any analyst male or female that did not play the sport they’re talking about should be as thoughtful and well informed as Mina seems to be.

      Same here. I was a fan of his since he was drafted and hated the unbelievable criticisms and them seemingly wanting his failure to happen. Once he won the MVP things didn't change. For much in sports media and many in the NFL really didn't want him to get paid or be successful. It was similar to what I saw with Steph Curry in the NBA. Lamar Jackson and these Ravens I'm rooting for to silence the critics.

    The Seahawks don’t seem to understand that D line is a strong link system, and the secondary is a weak link system. You can spend up for first round corners, trade a haul for Adams, sign Love, but if you have a single guy that can’t hold his own out there he’s going to be targeted game after game and you’re gonna constantly be trying to hide him. If you invest a 1st rounder into a pass rusher and hit, you’re causing havoc on every snap, either swallowing double teams and giving you numbers or consistently winning and getting to the QB. If he’s versatile you can line that guy up on the weak point on the other team’s OL and really start having fun. In a past first league, especially with the passing offenses in their in their division, you need to be able to rush the passer. They’ve loaded up on DBs, trading a haul for Adams, taking Witherspoon at 5, hitting on Woolen, signing Love, but no secondary in the world can blanket the other team for more than a few “Mississippis.”

    I keep warning you all that you crowned Patrick Mahomes as the best QB of this era too soon. Lamar is literally more physically gifted than Mahomes and right on his heels in career win pct and points per game his team scores when he's the starter. And at the conclusion of this season, he's going to be only 1 ring behind with with the score 2 MVPs / 2 rings to 2 MVPs and 1 ring. And by end of next season, Lamar is going to have higher win pct than Mahomes (has to win 2 more games than Mahomes next year) and a higher PPG (his team has to score 2 more PPG than Chiefs next year), and he's going to have 3 MVPs / 2 rings to Mahomes stuck on 2 of each. And as the youngest QB now with 2 MVPs (breaking Mahomes record), and next year breaking Favre's record of youngest with 3 MVPs, the talking heads, fans, and naysayers of each will have no choice but to admit that Mahomes is in the rear view of Lamar.
    And it will one day be historically embarassing anyone ever thought not only was someone like Burrow ever on Lamar's level but that Mahomes was better. When Lamar can make all the side arm, off platform throws that Mahomes can make on top of levels of athleticism that make Mahomes pedestrian by comparison. Plus his ability to elevate an offense to top 5 despite incompetence around him in ways that Mahomes could never. The gap will also only grow as Father time catches up to Kelce and Veach fails to find that all pro replacement as a target for YACtrick.

    • @SlimeNews
      @SlimeNews 6 месяцев назад

      Mahomes is definitely overrated. He was gifted all pro catches since his rookie year and was given every tool and support that Lamar is basically getting this year. This year is basically Lamar Jacksons first MVP year for Mahomes and hes been garbage. The best QB of this era is Lamar. EZ.

    • @truthbearer7891
      @truthbearer7891 6 месяцев назад

      Lamar still has to earn it this postseason but so many ppl going to feel foolish in retrospect because all the evidence was there. Not only was Lamar more physically gifted but as stated, Mahomes inherited a team that was capable of winning 12 games and a top 6 scoring offense with a QB as mediocre as Alex Smith. Travis Kelce was already an all-pro TE before Mahomes and led the whole league in receiving yards from 2015-17 before Mahomes became starter. Meanwhile Lamar inherited a team that was on pace to miss playoffs for the 4th time in 5 years before he took over as a starter. Lamar didn't have the offensive genius like Reid or YAC monsters that put the game on easy mode by comparison. And yet his teams still averaged 28 PPG with him as the starter which was 2nd only to Mahomes. Mahomes first year without Travis Kelce playing at that all time great level with explosive plays and all of a sudden the Chiefs offense is a pedestrian 22 PPG this year. A floor much lower than any Lamar led team.
      And next year Lamar will be even more comfortable in his new offense, Zay Flowers takes another step in his 2nd year, getting guys back from injury like Keaton Mitchell, Andrews, etc and Lamar will be even scarier. And dont let him start incorporating more innovative things like he showed vs dolphins pretending like he was going to throw left handed before going backside right. Meanwhile as Father Time catches up to Kelce, even if the Chiefs get better at WR that's going to be offset by Kelce being less explosive. From a production stand point, wins standpoint, and eye test it's going to become increasingly obvious to anyone who is not in complete denial that Lamar is better than Mahomes across the board.

    I think Lamar fully deserves to be this season's MVP. But I am still not convinced that Lamar is a cerebral QB in the same way that Manning, Brady, and Brees were. He seems a bit more like a Brett Favre "see and react" kind of QB, rather than a "read the defense before the snap and set things up strategically" kind of QB. If he completely lost his ability to scramble, and lost half of his arm strength, and still did what Brees did in his career, then I would be totally sold on him. But I do tend to think that there are times when he relies on his physical ability and athleticism in lieu of using his brain like a supercomputer the way a few others have over the last century.

    This is the definition for the NFL MVP....
    The National Football League Most Valuable Player Award ( NFL MVP) is an award given by various entities to the American football player who is considered the most valuable in the National Football League (NFL) during the regular season.
    You people keep saying Lamar Jackson is the NFL MVP...He is not. Yes he is a GREAT player and is CERTAINLY the most valuable to HIS team but does he is the description below? I don't believe so.
    Past MVP's
    2022 MVP Patrick Mahomes: 5250 YDs 67% completions, 41 TDs, 12 INTs
    2021 MVP Aaron Rodgers: 4115 YDs, 68.9% completions, 37 TDs, 4 INTs
    2020 MVP Aaron Rodgers: 4299 YDs, 70.7% completions, 48 TDs, 5 INTs
    2019 MVP Lamar Jackson: 3127 YDs, 66.1% completions, 36TDs, 6 INTs
    2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes: 5097 YDs, 66% completions, 50 TDs, 12 INTs
    2023 Lamar Jackson numbers: 3678 YDs, 67.2% completions, 24 TDs, 7 INTs...Doesn't look bad until you make THESE comparisons,
    2023 Brock Purdy numbers: 4280 YDs, 69.4% completions, 31 TDs, 11 INTs. Keep in mind those yards are on 13 less attempts
    2023 Tua Tagovailoa numbers: 4451 YDs, 69.9% completions, 28 TDs, 12 INTs
    Granted there are no sure fire standouts this year at QB as far as crazy numbers go but there are 2 QBs clearly better number wise than Lamar Jackson.
    No Purdy or Tua would not make the Ravens better and Lamar does.....Along that same thought process based on the offenses they run Lamar would not make the Dolphins or the 49ers better either. It's comparing apples to oranges
    That makes Lamar the Ravens MVP. Not the league MVP
    The MVP of the league has to have numbers that jump off the page, Lamar certainly does not. He barely ranks in the top 15 in passing yards. He's 10th in TDs, Just inside top 10 in completion %, 5th in passer rating, 4th in QBR, 5th in Yds/att...Some of the numbers are decent but definitely not MVP numbers by any imagining.
    Is Lamar Jackson a top tier QB...Yes and anyone who says he isn't really doesn't know much about the game. Is he the 2023 NFL MVP...No.
    And don't even get me started on Christian McCaffrey....HE should truly be the MVP but they rarely give it to running backs and when they do it's usually when there are no standout QB's
    Kindly if you're going to send FLAMING responses back them up with facts and stats or send nothing at all. I spent a lot of time on this and if you can't do the same just down vote the post and be done with it.

      "Lamar would not make the Dolphins or the 49ers better" LOL that's a good one. The 49ers would literally be unstoppable if you replaced Purdy with Lamar. Certainly wouldn't fall off a cliff if they were missing just of their avengers like they did against every AFC North team except Pittsburgh. And Lamar on the Dolphins would score 40 PPG.

    • @drumguy1960
      @drumguy1960 6 месяцев назад

      @@truthbearer7891 Not likely...he isn't that type of passer. In those offenses the QB's are expected to read defenses pre and post snap and do it quickly. In the past Lamar would check his first read and if it wasn't there he would take off running. That being said he has gotten better but he still isn't at Brock or Tuas level in that respect.
      See how I did that? I didn't just spout my opinion but I backed it up with reasoning.
      In the Baltimore "system" Lamar is elite.
      EVERY QB is a system QB and Lamar would not thrive as you say because he simply can't get to his 3rd and sometimes 4th read consistently enough. It has to be done on every play. He just doesn't have that skill.
      Not bashing him because as I said he IS elite, just not with his processing.
