Loved this era of Steps Ahead, NYC and Yin-Yang are my all time favourite albums from this period. Pretty amazing to see Bendik when he was an unknown sax player filling in the shoes of Michael Brecker, he plays absolutely fantastic here but the highlight of this performance for me is watching the lovely and talented Rachel Z in her younger years creating lots of beautiful sounds on the keyboards. Mike Mainieri, Jimy Tunell, Jeff Andrews and Steve Smith sound great as well. What a band. Lots of good memories for me listening to Steps Ahead during this time. RIP Jeff Anderews
One of my all time favorite sax players... Bendik just a kid when he replaced Brecker in the band and everyone said who the heck is this... awesome player
@@garykasza6482 It was, Bendik, a total unknown, and shock to the fans as such, joined in '87, 3 years before this concert... Of course Brecker did a reunion tour in 2005...
