    Too bad James Lavish doesnt know the fed rules regarding QE. The fed must be at the zero bound to do QE or only under extreme conditions slightly higher. We are not even close to the zero bound.

    I understand the basic math is heavily against DOGE being able to cut 1 Trillion+ annually from the budget, but if you factor in the idea of renegotiating the cost of healthcare with sweeping reforms, it becomes a gamechanger. Also removing welfare/other entitlement benefits from those who shouldn't qualify. I think it's doable without cutting social security [may need to raise retirement age a few years though].

      Its hopeful, but still have my doubts theyll get anything done. Its not up to doge but congress since they control the spending.

      If they renegotiate the cost of healthcare- which is predominantly funded through government sources- mark my word, the cost will go up! Just like anything the government pays for, the price goes up. Remember when Barack said the average family would save 2500 dollars. That didn’t happen the way they planned. DOGE doesn’t exist under current law-does anyone with half a brain think that congress will create a new department that has the mission of taking away their piggy bank? The power of the purse is the only power congress has. Elon and Vivek will write a good report and DJT will say great job guys and nothing will be done! All roads lead to inflation!

    James Lavish is a smart guy. Ask him what makes Bitcoin valuable and he will tell you because a bigger fool will buy it at a higher price and the world is full of fools.

    How about raising taxes and send them straight to pay the deficit?!

    • @tlindsay1007
      @tlindsay1007 2 дня назад

      So, we have to pay more taxes to pay for the government's overspending? No thanks. But, how about we hold the spend-happy government officials responsible if they vote for unnecessary things, or spend above the set budget. No pensions or pay checks if they go over!

    Yes. The road ahead is through Inflation.. Yet, the Global Economy has had to issue an insane amount of debt to paper over the Deflation.. The thought that the only answer is Inflation, and just forget about 70%~80% of the population that is trapped by the weight of Inflation..
    And Bitcoin is a temporary gage of Inflation.. Which the Federal Reserve has done nothing about..

    Elon is the most brilliant mind of a generation! 😂 Jeez Louise. Guy is a tremendous marketer and lobbyist aka bullshit artist. I like James, but the fact he said this even close to seriously highlights everything wrong with the US culturally.
