The PS2 has more memorable classics and hidden Gems. The PS4 has just a few. The PS2 is a pure gaming machine. The PS4 is basically a Multimedia Station (which eats a good ammount of Resources like RAM and APU) with some gaming capability. The PS2 was more stable and durable. You could even repair it yourself. The PS4 is affected by crashes, BLODs, the BL Drive sometimes stopps working and ejects the Disc (when the Rollers get too dusty), heat issues, noise issues (especially with Uncharted 4), etc. The PS2 had some native 1080i 60fps games (especially J-NTSC Versions of the games). The PS4 still can't hit native 1080p 60fps on all games.

I have been a Dark Souls fan for years, and I went into Nioh thinking "Oh look, another attempt at poorly replicating Dark Souls." The second I jumped into it though I was completely surprised at how unique of a take on the game style it was. It is an amazing game all around!

Sony. It's only been a little over a month and there's already a ton of awesome exclusives on Ps4. Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Gravity Rush 2, Tales of Berseria, and now this. With Nier: Automata and hopefully Horizon Zero Dawn, I can tell this will be an excellent year for Sony exclusives.

Tryforlive What I love about Bloodborne is the Lore & atmosphere. Nioh has amazing combat but the lore or atmosphere is nowhere as good as Bloodborne. Bloodborne is my most favorite game of all time. It's a masterpiece.
I think it already has better combat, but what made DeS, DaS1, and BB great wasn't just combat. I doubt Nioh will have the same level of world building and atmosphere throughout but it doesn't need that with how fun combat is in the game.

in IGN's eyes at least, which does not amount to much. it it didnt pass any of them on metacritic too. heeeh who am i kidding? finished nioh twice and co-oped an embarrassing amount of times! i still wouldn't rate it as high as the soulsborne series. it comes very close, if only the enemy variety, lore and environment design was better. it easily beat dark souls 2 for me though!
Considering I can't get past a mini boss at the beginning in one of the Dark Souls games it may not end up being for me but for $9.99 new I picked it up today. Also see it won't be hard to flip it to someone as many could not get the deal on RFD. Btw if you are in Sarnia last I checked at the store in the Lambton Mall they had 6 copies and the price may still be $9.99.

Before dark soul games were created...Team Ninja already created Ninja Gaiden series which was released on OG xbox, ps2 & ps3. ..Nioh was developed based on that ninja gaiden gameplay. So those who saying Nioh was a darksoul clone really has no idea what they talked about. Nioh IMO is more challenging game than darksoul
I've gotten into this game and it's soooo amazing!!! Loved dark souls AND ninja gaiden, and this is a dream come true to see those games getting mixed up. Even some of the fighting sounds are from ninja gaiden!

Wow. I was underwhelmed by the 10 minutes of footage I saw from E3. But the footage here looks awesome. Really cool environments and enemies and combat looks skillful and fun.
As much as I love Bloodborne, which I finished twice at this point, I really adore Nioh as well. Combat is so fluid and the level settings are some of the best I have seen in a long while. Stop comparing two greats. Nobody wins that way.
@@YustinJ420 No, Sekiro is not a Nioh clone. Very very different mechanics, Nioh itself can hardly be called a Souls clone besides a bonfire and stamina. Similarities end there. The entire combat system is a mix of different weapons each with their own steep learning curve and skills (in one playthrough, you can aim to master 2 weapon classes at Max). Magic also works very different in Nioh with talismans being more like expendable resources. Sekiro and Nioh could not be further apart. A closer comparison is between Nioh and Onimusha.
I had to read about William Adams in my Colonial History class in uni. His biography, Samurai William, is sitting right on top of me on the bookshelf right now! This is so sick
it's great to see that one of the souls like games finally stood out and isn't just a inferior version of a souls-borne game. Maybe now it will become a proper genre

Sony. It's only been a little over a month and there's already a ton of awesome exclusives on Ps4. Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Gravity Rush 2, Tales of Berseria, and now this. With Nier: Automata and hopefully Horizon Zero Dawn, I can tell this will be an excellent year for Sony exclusives.

Well just finally completed this game, and can say that this was such a fun experience! Took me a month to complete this, and still have a couple of side missions to do.
Fantastic game, I've spent about 20 hours on the beta and demo already, can't wait for tomorrow.

I think it already has better combat, but what made DeS, DaS1, and BB great wasn't just combat. I doubt Nioh will have the same level of world building and atmosphere throughout but it doesn't need that with how fun combat is in the game.

in IGN's eyes at least, which does not amount to much. it it didnt pass any of them on metacritic too. heeeh who am i kidding? finished nioh twice and co-oped an embarrassing amount of times! i still wouldn't rate it as high as the soulsborne series. it comes very close, if only the enemy variety, lore and environment design was better. it easily beat dark souls 2 for me though!

Considering I can't get past a mini boss at the beginning in one of the Dark Souls games it may not end up being for me but for $9.99 new I picked it up today. Also see it won't be hard to flip it to someone as many could not get the deal on RFD. Btw if you are in Sarnia last I checked at the store in the Lambton Mall they had 6 copies and the price may still be $9.99.

Before dark soul games were created...Team Ninja already created Ninja Gaiden series which was released on OG xbox, ps2 & ps3. ..Nioh was developed based on that ninja gaiden gameplay. So those who saying Nioh was a darksoul clone really has no idea what they talked about. Nioh IMO is more challenging game than darksoul

I've gotten into this game and it's soooo amazing!!! Loved dark souls AND ninja gaiden, and this is a dream come true to see those games getting mixed up. Even some of the fighting sounds are from ninja gaiden!

Wow. I was underwhelmed by the 10 minutes of footage I saw from E3. But the footage here looks awesome. Really cool environments and enemies and combat looks skillful and fun.

As much as I love Bloodborne, which I finished twice at this point, I really adore Nioh as well. Combat is so fluid and the level settings are some of the best I have seen in a long while. Stop comparing two greats. Nobody wins that way.

@@YustinJ420 No, Sekiro is not a Nioh clone. Very very different mechanics, Nioh itself can hardly be called a Souls clone besides a bonfire and stamina. Similarities end there. The entire combat system is a mix of different weapons each with their own steep learning curve and skills (in one playthrough, you can aim to master 2 weapon classes at Max). Magic also works very different in Nioh with talismans being more like expendable resources.
Sekiro and Nioh could not be further apart.
A closer comparison is between Nioh and Onimusha.
