I love how Agent Maria Hill has had continuity throughout MCU as a minor albeit important presence, while lesser than Agent Phil Coulson, she provides a sort-of glue bonding story arcs together.

I thought they did a great job setting everything up at the end of Loki by unleashing Kang and the multiverse. Then they colossally dropped the ball in Multiverse of Madness by doing something completely different and scambling the metanarrative. I hope they decide on a coherent story arc soon because this mishmash is garbage.

Around the corner? The television miniseries, Secret Invasion is probably the first project from MARVEL Studios' MARVEL Cinematic Universe: Phase Five. That said, Avengers: Secret Wars is most likely the last film of the MCU: Phase Six.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is scheduled to be released in movie theaters in the USA on May 2, 2025.
Avengers: SW is scheduled to be released in theaters in the US on May 1, '26.

Winter soldier is one of my favorites. I love that movie. I liked when Bucky was bad. I mean he was a great villain. The fighting sequences in W.S. were so good
@@ms.t3039 People always praise the Winter Soldier for its fight scenes, and while they're awesome, I absolutely love that movie for its themes and its characters. Steve, Natasha, Falcon, Fury, Bucky and Hill are all the best versions of themselves in that movie and the movie feels so intelligently written.

The secret invasion is one of the most devestating wars that happened, where no one could trust anyone, even their closest teammates. Been really looking forward for marvel to do something about it, and the trailer only gives a sliver of how major (and probably confusing) this is going to be

A faction of rebel Skrulls led by Gravik are the antagonists. Talos' sect are still allies of Nick Fury.
I think even in the comics there were factions within the Skrulls. It makes sense, they're not like the Kree which are practically a hive-mind with the exception of Ronin.

I'm so excited to see Nick Fury get a dedicated story for himself, as opposed to helping out the heroes. I wish it was a movie, but honestly this already looks like it'll be my favorite Marvel show. Can't wait.

This will be better as a show. The best thing about this arc in the comics was the lead up to it. My god, I remember the tension as we realised they'd been seeding this story for five years or so, little things people had called inconsistencies when they happened turned out to be deliberate twists, anybody could be an enemy, but when the actual event finally hit, it was mostly a huge fight that couldn't really deliver on the tension they'd been building. Doing this as a TV show means they can embrace that long-running thriller aspect, and the fact that the supers are largely being sidelined for this means they're hopefully gonna stick to that approach.
In all honesty, I think that the series format is even better. If this were a movie, we'd only be getting like 2 & 1/2 hours tops. But with the series, we are getting almost 6 hours. Fury deserves that amount of time in the spotlight. Plus, these series get pretty much the same budget and production value as the movies do, even if they are smaller in scale. Either way, I'm just glad that Fury is going to be getting the respect his character deserves. He kicked off the whole MCU when he spoke to Tony Stark at the end of the first Iron Man.

As much as I enjoy marvel when their lighthearted, we really needed this something that takes itself seriously. We need more variety in tone and I'm hoping this and daredevil will pave the way for that maybe even echo if they want that to stand out better.

@@riyaano6017 I think they would be more or less retconning everything after Season 4. Considering Season 5 is where things split off significantly due to the time travel stuff they did with going to the future to eventually stop Talbot from destroying Earth. And that is a huge lore contradiction for the main timeline. Though, I doubt Clark Gregg would reprise his role, not to mention that Iain and Elizabeth both said they felt Fitz-Simmon’s had a good ending to their stories. The only person I could see returning is Daisy, as much as most of us would love to see the full cast return.

Bro, we weren't exactly sure where the MCU was headed before Infinity War and Endgame. I think people just got so used to the Infinity Saga and eventually they expected the Multiverse Saga to follow up on the 'peak cinema' without building their way back up again.
All i can say is, ppl have fallen into this circle, marvel announces new movie, ppl get hype for it, there's some drama about it, the movie drops and only hardcore marvel fans care, everyone else moves on with it being an eh film, then repeat.
Its hard to be hyped for these movies when they get spat out 24/7 now with goofy ahh humor

The Skrull invasion is going to be a very specific CGI spectacle. Remember Mystique in the X-Men movies? Alien race of shapeshifters. They've already replaced half of the heroes and villains. There will be lots and lots and lots of "oh look who is secretly the alien enemy now!" moments.

Pretty sure it's nowhere close to what happened in the comics. Although they're using the very basics of that arc - Skrulls secretly invading the US soil.
I remember the comic event actually being disliked due to the execution, too many tie in books, but the concept has been a favorite.

Expect at the latest, TV Spots for MARVEL Studios' Secret Invasion to begin airing in Early-June 2023. That said, Secret Invasion is set to premiere on Disney+ on Jun 21, '23.
This would be a great way to introduce "The Punisher" into a largescale marvel movie. I feel like it definitely matches the aesthetics. Even if it was a small cameo like "Daredevil" in "Spiderman: No Way Home"
Let's hope so. And let's hope the opportunity isn't missed, to hit this out the park.

I’ve watched this trailer for the last 3 months on repeat and the one thing I am happy about is Rhodey. I’m happy he’s actually getting a series, and by the looks of it, he’ll be a really important character seeing how he usually gets little to no screen time. Also, I peeped the great Kingsley Ben-Adir in there! I absolutely LOVED him in One Night In Miami and his new arrival to the MCU should be to die for wether he’s a villian or not! To add on, I feel like Leslie Odom Jr. would be a great addition to the MCU. I’m not sure what part, maybe a SHIELD agent or something but I know he’ll be revolutionary.

In December 2020, MARVEL Studios announced Armor Wars as a television series, but in September '22, MS decided to rework the TV series into a film. That said, AW most likely will be part of the MARVEL Cinematic Universe: Phase Six.

Marvel is always at its best when it strays from the formula. This looks like a really nice, gritty action-spy drama that’s a nice change of pace.

Comparing this to the last few Plus series that have aired, you can tell that this is one that they really wanted to work on. I'm excited for it. It may be Disney+ but it gives me big screen vibes.

Yo Avengers EMH (the animated series) did this and did it WELL, seeing a live action adaptation of this conveying the same seriousness and weight gave me GOOSEBUMPS...I was losing faith in the MCU...this might save it

This show give me Winter Soldier vibes. Samuel L. Jackson looks even more amazing than before, the CGI from this trailer is very well done. Emilia Clarke looking awesome, overall I think this might be the best MCU show so far. Phase 5 is up to an incredible start

Not bashing, but the MCU is probably pumping out semi decent shows and movies to make Secret Invasion its grand slam (profit wise). While I know CGI specialists are over worked with all the movies and shows they had to pump out in so little time(and have been doing their best), this trailer looks more intriguing than most of what we've seen lately. This trailer reminds me of old MCU before The Avengers endgame.
Too many movies and TV shows!!! I have no idea how people find the time to watch all this. I stopped following marvel closely after endgame. Miss those days of quality over quantity.

I wish the MCU went this route as the main theme in phase 4, it expands on the universe but still feels grounded at the same time, not breaking the multiverse every movie bc fans expect bigger and bigger
I would have really liked a REAL, and SERIOUS phase of dealing with the events of the blip and even some prequel stuff of events during the 5 years after the snap... I get how WV, FATFS among other shows did that but it wasn't enough imo. I'm a fan of grit and those projects lacked it. TFATWS was my favourite project of the whole Phase 4 so far though

I hope they bring Daisy Johnson/Quake back. She was in the comic series for Secret War, so I would think they would bring her back for this, though with probably some difference in background from her AoS character.
I've read that a "big" cameo will appear in the sixth episode... I really have my fingers crossed for Quake to appear. I do not mind her having a different background from AoS...maybe a different "lost" timeline (with the multiversal war in motion) could be the excuse for the AoS timeline, and she will be a bit "different" in the main timeline now, in the MCU.
The secret invasion of the comics was on another level .
Hope that the show is able to match that level

The tone of this trailer gets me so hyped. I've been aching for a serious, dramatic Marvel movie for so long and this seems to be erring in that direction.
yeah ngl Thor Love and Thunder was too happy cheery albiet it had some dark moments, but it didn't feel serious at all.. Winter Soldier, End Game and Infinity War were all super serious and the best.
