  • Halo 1 was amazing, and left me wanting so much more! It's time to dive into Halo 2, and find out what happened to Master Chief & Cortana after the explosion of Halo. Are they still drifting in space somewhere, or did they find their way home? Are the Covenant still chasing them, or were they all wiped out? Where is the Flood, if we didn't stop it? I'm SO excited to find out.
Come along with me as I play through the WHOLE Halo series, and probably cry happy nostalgia tears along the way. I really hope you have an awesome time, and if you do, it would be amazing if you'd consider subscribing.
    Thanks,
    Benjamight

15:00 fun fact, UNSC vehicles are named after animals (pelican, warthog, scorpion, etc.) while Covenant vehicles are named after superstitious appartitions (ghost, wraith, banshee, phantom etc.)

That's a super cool fact, thank you Boogie - I never noticed that.

Considering how much The Covenant feared The Halo in the first game , I expected that The Prophet of Regret would know the true potential of The Halos , but it doesn't seem to be that way , unless he is planing something much more .

Agreed - my thought is either they KNOW what it does and they just call it "The Great Journey" or they DON'T know and have just created some religious beliefs behind it... only time will tell I guess. ;-)

Your skill with killing enemies in banshees is impressive.
I just try to highjack or blow them sky high.
Rockets and plasma will destroy covenant vehicles.

Thanks... didn't always go so well in the first Halo, but I do feel they fly/fight better in this one.

1:06:00 Oh you'll find out (and likely already have). The prophets aren't exactly a 'tight knit trio'.
The Covenant has a high council and operates like a theocratic hegemony - whoever's most powerful is whoever rules under religious pretense. So while they seem chummy with each other, they are secretly against each other, and when Regret jumps the gun he saw opportunity (you'll also find out why he came to Earth in Halo 3).

You're right, the 3 didn't waste any time turning on each other...lol.

Ah Delta Halo, out of all the Legendary/LASO levels this one is prob the easiest. I don't know if it's my fav but it's def prob the most fun of all the Legendary/LASO levels. What makes this level so fun is at the start of the mission you can get on top of the map on the hills with some easy jumping and can even later on take a ghost on top of the map and it's so fun speeding around on top of the map with a vehicle and skipping so much of the enemies and then having to employ tricks to activate loadpoints without actually having to deal with the enemies. It's still difficult but very fun to do. The next level Regret tho. One of those top 3 hardest levels on Legendary/LASO the sheer amount of instant noscopes with the absurd amount of sniper jackels makes for many failed attempts. I will say there's a dope skip where you get on the gondola that leaves at the start by circumventing loadpoints and skipping a ton of enemies which is very fun. It's such a hard level with all the sniper jackels. And don't get me started on the Regret boss fight but I'll get to that next ep lol

lol - I can totally hear there's still a bit of 'hard feelings' about some of these encounters you put yourself through...lol, you sound like me and the final fights of Doom Eternal. This time next year, I'll probably still feel a little sore any time I bring it up. Maybe I'll boot up a level and try it on that hard difficulty, just so I can truly appreciate what you had to deal with. ;-)

lol, there's def some of that tho I also look back at that time in my life foundly. I really pushed myself and despite the game beating me to a pulp on multiple occasion in hindsight especially I enjoyed my time with it.
The funny thing tho is I played MCC and did the Legendary/LASO challenges of the first 3 Halo games on my family's old Xbox but nowadays I really only play games through Steam on my computer and I got MCC a few months ago on Steam. And I'm a completionist so every game on Steam I play I always 100% it no matter how long it takes. So at some point in the future(prob a few years down the line) when I go to 100% MCC on Steam I will have to do the Halo 2 LASO/Legendary challenges again lol. I look forward to revisiting the challenge now as a grown adult with a lot more gaming experience but at the same time I dread it lol.
Also yeah if you load up on Regret Legendary and walk out of that temple you'll most likely see what I mean when I talk of the dreaded Legendary sniper jackals and how they'll gun you down before you even see them lol. And remember that even on Legendary jackals are nowhere close to their LASO counterparts which have increased firing speed, increased awareness of player, increased health, and all enemies in Halo 2 LASO are permanently cloaked/invisible and much more stuff.
There's actually a hilarious RUclips series called "If Halo 2 On Legendary Was Deemed Canonical" that I'd def recommend where it basically turns the epic storyline that is Halo 2 into some nightmarish Groundhog Day like phenomenon for Chief as he dies over and over and over again, as he is travelling through a nigh-perpetual purgatory and it doesn't matter how depriving or hopeless the situation is for him, the only thing he can do is move forward. As someone who experienced that purgatory firsthand it's so relatable and funny especially when he reaches the sniper jackals lmao. Master Chief's armor was in fact not "Extremely Resilient"

You 100% all your games! How many games have you 100% now? That's amazing... I definitely don't have the patience for that. When I first started this channel, the idea crossed my mind to try to make that a theme for it, but as you've noticed in some of my playthroughs, I'm definitely not cut for that kind of thing. I don't mind a bit of a challenge here and there, but the thought of completely every twisted challenge a developer can think to put in their game, would not work...lol. I'd probably have some games I'd not even buy, just because I know of challenge X, Y, or Z that is in it...lol.

@@BenjamightGaming Currently I am at about 35 games in my Steam library I have 100%d tho granted I've only really been using Steam for about 9 months so not that long and I've prob 100%d roughly 20 or so games on Xbox prior to that. Not counting some special cases currently the longest it's taken for me to 100% a game is Subnautica(fantastic game) at 180ish hours tho granted a large portion of that time was spent building a huge base and storage and not just going for all the achievements tho in second place Hitman Absolution was just going after all the achievements and that took around 140ish hours lol. Tho most of the 35 Steam games I've 100%d took less than 25 hours to do.
I think it comes from a desire to fully experience everything a game has to offer so I can get the absolute best most well rounded and enriching experience I can from it and fully understand everything that went on in the game especially if it's story related and also to push myself when it's a hard challenge I must do. Sometimes it can be an absolute slog and sometimes I drag my feet but when the dust is settled I am often glad that I've done everything I possibly could in a game meaning I can put it to rest and go on to the next game.
It's def not for everyone lol and sometimes this type of playstyle tests me lol but I power on and of the 50-60 games I've so far 100%d I am happy I did and hope to do more in the future and at quicker speeds

Super impressive Palintir - good luck with your future games. I agree, Subnautica is fantastic! It still holds the longest playthrough on my channel too, and I wasn't trying to 100% it by a long shot...lol.

So when you mentioned that all the prophets were in the same room you are actually wrong here I don’t blame for you for not realizing but if you re watch the first cutscene you may notice that Regret looks a bit hologramy I wonder why that might be probably on a business trip or something at that time

Ooooooh, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for pointing that out Kevin, because yeah, I was seriously wondering how this 1 out of the 3 managed to blast off, completely unaware, with such a massive number of ships & military...lol. That's super helpful.
