I woke up this morning with so much brachialis pain near my right elbow. I couldn't even pour myself a cup of coffee. I thought I was going to have to spend at least a week using my left arm & hand for everything. I couldn't bend, pick up or move my right arm or hand without feeling tightness and unbearable tension. After watching this video and using a lemon over a ziplock bag ( I couldn't find a tennis ball) to roll it against a wall I felt immediate muscle relief. Thank you!!

im not an armwrestler but i got that pain from, overhead press with long bar. 1 year it was no problem but now it started this pain and only with that exercise i feal it.
Thanks for the valuable information, Coach Ray. I just purchased a massage gun (5 years after this video was uploaded) and these techniques apply perfectly with the round/ball attachment.
I have had this for two years even went to physical therapy but they deal with old people who fall on the ice hope this fixes it because It prevented me from exercising.

OMG Thank you! I can't believe I finally found a video that helped. All other advice kept telling me its my rotator cuff but I knew it was not the rotator cuff.

Worked great but something I noticed. While doing these techniques, try to find the spot where it hurts the most, and apply hard pressure and smooth it out to get the best results. It is crazy! The pain is messed up. I can't sleep. I lift a lot, and have been working out for almost two years now, and this is the first time I have encountered something this severe. After doing armwrestling exercises I can't lift anything else with my bicep, can barely lift my arm up to grab the waterbottle... I shake like crazy too...

I'm a paddler on a dragon boat team and last May, I injured my shoulder. I still practiced 2x per week and participated in 1 race (which is 3 qualifying heats plus 1 championship heat) in July. The morning after race day, my arm was on fire with pain and remained that way everyday for the next 8 months, until this evening. This evening, I googled a diagram of the muscles in an arm, decided it was my brachialis, and youtubed "brachialis injury," and voilà! I'm so excited I found your video! The tennis ball work! I'm amazed! From what you said about pulling, it makes sense because I pull a great force of water with my paddle. Thank you so much!
Strained mine tonight doing pull ups. Hooray :) I kept doing my sets (actually made it feel better) and blasted it tonight with the A9 massage gun. It is sore right now.
I get this kind of pain while climbing or while trying to to muscle ups-like movement. The pain goes away after like 1 hour of stopping that kind of exercise. But no amount of massaging can make it go away immediately so that I can continue climbing (sometimes I have to stop since it's too strong). I don't understand if these exercises are meant to "fix" the pain or to prevent it. Youi have to do it after exercising to prevent the pain for the next time?
Is it like tearing adhesions on tendons and muscle? Recovery is long but 100% my pain is from brachioradialis so to forearm, am doing same excersices plus on forearm it helps
After my first day of super-matches, I've hand something going on in the outer part of my (winning right) hand below my little finger. I don't remember injuring it during the match. Maybe I strained it afterwards when lifting a heavy bag because of protecting my tender arm..? So, the said part of the hand and the wrist under it gets sore if in a bent back wrist position. If my hand is cupped, it doesn't hurt. I am still strong there.
It is a really helpful.I have tried and it seem to work. I am still not able to to bicep curls as I am feeling pain in the middle of the upper arm as well on the front of my forearm. Can you please suggest if I need to stretch some other muscles as well. Thanks a lot.
Hello! I've been having huge issues with my brachialis on both arms from rock climbing for at least 3 months now. I've had a few appointments with a PT and she told me to do a few sets of pronated + hammer + supinated curls every day and to do scapular pull ups to learn to engage my back more. I've also done this brachialis release exercise a few times a week for like a month. It really helps to reduce the pain when I do it but as soon as I climb more than 1 hour it comes back and the pain is so bad that I have to stop. I climb 2-3 times a week and I try to stop climbing before the pain appears to make my muscles used to climbing (at this point I've been climbing for like 8 months, why does my brachialis keep doing this...). Is there anything else I can do? I don't feel like it's getting much better and I've been trying to fix this for 2+ months now.
If my pain is slightly lower then the place U guys put the ball, should i put that ball on area where pain is coming from or exactly same spot as U guys shown on video? Thank U
