Thanks this was so helpful!! I am heading over to Switzerland in the first week of May and as someone who stays in humid Singapore it sure is troubling for me to decide what outfits to actually bring😅 So this helped a lot thank you!
Hi! Thanks for the very informative video. My question is…do we really required thermals in mid May if we go to mountains? If you please answer it will be very helpful. TIA
Hi Olivia! Thank you so much for your informative video! Im from Singapore as well..I am planning to visit for like a week..does it make sense to just stay in Zurich and use get your guide to explore other places like Zermatt, Grindelwald, Interlaken, etc..or should i stay in other places as well other than Zurich? Cos if i book a flight to and fro from Zurich to singapore it is less of a hassle? im travelling solo btw😊 appreciate your input❤
You should book and explore other places because for places like Grindelwald it is almost 2-2.5 hours away from Zurich and impossible to do as a daytrip, you will end up wasting a lot of time travelling. My guide will be really helpful as I cover all the places you mention.
I purchased the least touristy backpack I could find for my upcoming trip to Switzerland/Austria/Germany. It's the "doughnut macaroon mini organic cotton", a small cream-colored thick canvas backpack with leather accents. I was hesitent to get a backpack because I feel a bit paranoid of being robbed, but since these places are generally safe (...right? 😬) and I want to be able to distribute the weight of my everyday items+camera+water, I went ahead and purchased. Am I going to stand out for it?
I just googled it and that bag looks so cute and spacious all at the same time! Great choice. I don't think you will stand out for it...nobody will judge you by your bag anyway! And you are right, Switzerland is as safe as the word "safe" can be haha
Hi! I'm traveling to Switzerland (Lucerne, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Zurich, Interlaken) the second week of April. Will it be warm enough for dresses?
Hi Olivia, i am from Jakarta Indonesia, planning on traveling around switzerland in mid June.. Really appreciate if you could just give some thoughts whether its worth it to go see lake blausee or not? And also in one of your video youve said that it's not worth it to stay in Interlaken.. if it is so, if i want to go around bernese oberland especially jungfrau region, could you suggest where should I stay? Thanks a bunch!
It is quite expensive for a small lake (8-11CHF), a better option is definitely Oeschinensee. You can choose to stay in Grindelwald (for most convenience, but more expensive) or Brienz (very beautiful!), people also tend to miss out on staying in Bern because it is slightly further but the Old Town itself is already worth the stay
We are flying from SG & landing 23May & going to spend few nights at Zermatt. Need winter clothes & snow boots? What about bern, interlaken, Lucern, logano, zurich. T shirt with jacket & usual walking shoes sufficient?
Hi Golden Egg, I'm flying from SG and landing 24th May. Can help me which data/wifi plan you buy for Switzerland. I don't know which to buy. Klook data plan is not compatible with my handphone. I using a Oppo phone. Thank u.
You can wear that but u will need a thermal layer, sweater and scarf to keep urself sufficiently warm. And it works only in the cities. It will not be enough if u r in higher altitudes
@@Olliechinny i knew it 😂 cheers from a malaysian living in uk ✌🏻 going to swiss next week and ur vids r really helpful 🙏🏻 still deciding on what to pack though cuz ill be going to the mountains as well as villages but i only have one carry on 😅

Welcome 😊have fun!
This was soo helpful we will be going in 2 weeks so definitely trying to find right pieces to wear!! 🤗
No problem, the weather had warmed up slightly already so maybe lighter clothing in the cities! T-shirts with a jacket will work 👍🏻
Very helpful, thank you
You're welcome!
Thank you for this!! I am going from May 9-22nd would you suggest gloves and one puffer jacket or just a rain jacket would be fine 🥰

If you are afraid of the cold it’s better to pack a base layer because it will still be chilly

Is Appenzell Aescher / Seealpsee hike safw by mid May? Great vid
Yes it’s perfect for mid to end May
Thank you for the tips. I am wondering how big the luggage you usually bring. for big luggage (23"), is there any space in the train? Thank you.
There is a space at the side near the door to put big luggages just make sure u have your eye on it at all times or sit near it.
Plz make packing for September, I am coming in 2 weeks
Thanks for the tips! Do you think what you suggested here is also suitable for early September ? I’ve subscribed to your channel!
Yes, I will probably just add more warm knits and scarves but pretty much the rest apply! :)
@@Olliechinny Thank u!

I will be there on the 3rd week of May. Is it warm enough for dresses? Please advise, thanks
For sure!!!! It is already starting to get warm. But just bring along a pair of leggings in case of rain and cold weather
Wonderful, thank you. Totally enjoy your channel, simple yet thorough 🙏🏻
Is there a need for HeatTech in April?
No!!!

If you are going up to the mountains it is recommended to bring a thicker coat. It is okay in the cities with a lighter jacket.

Yes fine u can travel with that. There are luggage compartments
