Salon quality products with silicone are magical. As long as you know how to clarify your hair regularly and you can tell if you have buildup or not, I see no reason to not enjoy all the silkiness and protection that silicones give. I have this olaplaex mask but my stylist turned me on to a company called Aestelance. She used the protein mask in my hair...GIRL. when I tell you that mask gets my hair RIGHT. They have other masks and I don't think they all have protein. But if you can find a salon that sells it, it's much cheaper than it is on their website.
