    Thank you so much. What an incredible video and learning style. I love how you walk through each step! Sometimes it is the simple things that are taken for granted and if you don't understand the steps to create what you have just seen it does not work. When you are familiar with a program it is so easy to take for granted that everyone knows all the basics. It is so easy to follow each one of your steps as you have so clearly explained how to get there!

      Thank you Elona, I really appreciate your review. I just make the kind of tutorials I want to see. I also learn from tutorials on RUclips for all kinds of different things, and one thing that ruins it for me is when they don't show a step they took and I can't go any further without knowing that step. Happened to me on a blender tutorial and it was really difficult to Google the solution. For the more advanced tutorials I will make I won't go into such granular detail but still explain the steps

      @ArtistWright Anyone who needs to learn more about what Affinity Designer can do, I refer them to you. I watched a lot of lessons, but 1/4 is all about talk I am not really interested in. You keep repeating the shortcuts and steps, so I can follow and learn. Short and to the point. I follow with you - one screen is your lesson the other is Affinity Designer. There is a lot of work in making these videos and you are sharing your knowledge. Just wanted to say that you are very much appreciated.

    Great tutorial again. Learned a lot and will try it out immediately and so long until it is in my workflow. Thanks again to mention all the time the short cuts.

    You are the best. Another excellent tutorial. One note for your international watchers. I have no "bracket" keys on my keyboard, so I do not know what the short cut is for shift/Cmd/bracket. I need to look it up. Perhaps you can in your next tutorials, show where the command is using the menu. Just a small note. cheers, Hendrik

      You don't have a square bracket key? It should be next to the letter P.

    6:41 would "nesting" the river layer under the closest mountain give you same clipping mask effect as when you added the mountains? (wondering if this could bypass having to adjust the start of the river)

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely yes! Well spotted.

    Have you ever used the Typography palette? I recently had to use the superscript 2 (as in square meters) and started to fiddle with it, but the superscript produced really weird results. THe line height was really different from the surrounding text... (Besides all, Designer could benefit from a Planner persona with all those floor plan features like dimension arrows, doors, torn edges, etc.)

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes I have used it, although not alot. It's supposed to show you a number or letter slightly above or below the rest of your text and generally they are smaller

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад

      Also I can completely see architects using this properly in future if Affinity keep adding to it

    • @aram5642
      @aram5642 4 месяца назад +1

      @@ArtistWright Yes, exactly, that's how I wanted to use it, but the results in terms of dimensions where quite "untypographic", or, should I say, "unorthodox".

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад

      @@aram5642 ah I wonder if maybe that's the font, as ofcourse not all are setup to use those features. I mean it could be affinity I don't know

    Great video! When exporting the design, what's the best way to save it without changing its size in another program?

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад

      Depends what you need to export it for really, just don't export as a jpeg if you want to keep the transparent properties. If you want it to remain a vector to bring into another vector software program etc you can export as a pdf

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад

      Also I'm not sure exactly what you mean

    • @SherrelRose
      @SherrelRose 4 месяца назад +1

      I apologize for any confusion. I often use Cricut Design Space to print and cut my PNGs or SVGs, but they tend to import in a larger size. I was hoping to export them from Affinity Designer in the correct size so that they remain consistent in other software.

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад

      @@SherrelRose ah I understand, I've never used cricut before. But a quick Google search seems to say .SVG or DXF works to upload to 'design space'.

    • @SherrelRose
      @SherrelRose 4 месяца назад

      @@ArtistWright thanks it does upload. I was just hoping to find a way to keep it the same size when I export it from afininity designer. Thanks

    Im still very new to affinity, How do you select all of the layers to put inside shape like in 18:08? I have windows

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  4 месяца назад

      I either select each layer by holding command ( I think that's windows key on a pc) or select one layer then hold shift then select my last layer. Try it in the layers panel
