    Thanks Siim for another great video. The problem I see is if the bottle neck or limiting factor is something else in the mitochondria other then the NAD, then there still is an issue. Same is true with supplementing with CoQ10 or Cyt C in regards to the electron transport chain. It would be interesting to see a full Organic Acid Panel and show/how/where the bottle necks are in a couple of hypotheticals. Also, how much red light panel per day to affect Cytochrome C or boost melatonin in cell? or differences of Ergothioneine, Melatonin, Glutathione in Mitochondria? or the different types of SOD's and how they complement the other anti oxidants?

    Depending on the source, NMN converts to B3 in the gut, so don’t waste your money on NMN. B3 is much cheaper & just as effective. I add TMG for better absorption of NMN 👍🏼

    It is a seriously over hyped supplement, it's benefits in humans are unremarkable. David will keep pushing it just like he still pushes resveratrol even though its a total failure. Something like Taurine beats NMN and NR hands down.

      nicotinamide is superior to niacin (lower side effects and better for longevity) edit: don't forget TMG when you take NAD precursors (B3 or w/e) you need TMG or else you lower your life expectancy

    • @jackbuaer3828
      @jackbuaer3828 Месяц назад +2

      @@captainnoyaux In a human study, Niacinamide caused a 60% raise in homocysteine with just 300MG. Significantly raising a hallmark of aging is not good at all. Niacin appears to have a much lower homocysteine burden. I don't think TMG is going to offset a 60% increase in homocysteine. Maybe it would offset a 10% increase. I go with low dose Niacin (50 mg) and avoid Nicotinamide.

    • @captainnoyaux

      @@jackbuaer3828 "just" 300mg, is a gigantic dose, 50 mg is enough with 500mg TMG and research point towards that. Too high doses like the one you mentioned are linked to higher mortality rate so I don't recommend it either

      @@jackbuaer3828 it's hard isn't it, I'm homozygous for mthfr so this would affect me even more in terms of elevated homocysteine. It's probably important to just routinely do diagnostic tests and personalise for you. This one size fits all business just doesn't work
