Same here duke, only seem to do 3k to 4 k a year now. I've got a 1200 bandit just hit 80000 at the MOT in November 2023. Had her for 18 years. Seem to do all my mileage June to September. Gone from 8 or 9k a year to under 4 k. This Xmas holidays the same rained every day in Wales. Not out once on the holidays. About to hit 60 years old so I guess it's an old age thing, sorry to turn this to an essay happy new year. And my last ride out was to white castle on the English border in October in an unexpected heatwave and I lay on the grass and I thought life was good, all the best William
Cheers William, it certainly hasn't been a great Autumn or Winter to go riding just for the sake of it and that has kept the mileage down quite a bit. In previous years some of the winter meets have been really well attended but not this year, not by me at least. Life is good William 🙂 Happy New Year
👍🍺🍷 couldn't help your words sv for fun rides etc 👏👏👏 I've had many many bike all good in there ways but jan last year 2011 vstrom 650 came and it's odd but my now go to bike for most rides despite a 350 classic ...himalayan (now sold) in sheds a v motor seems to be the charm part of bike... as did a 1050xt vstrom I had.. that to sold.... bit heeeevy.... anywaz healthy new year sir ...
I imagine mcn are referring more to the actual rider miles. Iv had four different bikes this year and still haven't done 5000 in total 😊 That said it hasnt been the best of years for good weather. I'd rather the bike stay put these days if I can avoid getting a proper soaking. All the best, have a super 2024.
Yes John, I assume MCN's 5K refers to the rider, just as well eh or we'd have to do stellar mileages to get close 🙂 The weather here is grotty again this morning but I am determined to get out and ride at the weekend regardless. Have a fab 2024 🙂
