To get the most out of the engine you need to set it in dynamic and select the shifter in sport, that way it'll take off immediately without any lag. Just a tip for those who like to take off at the traffic lights.
Channel is severely underrated
The P stands for petrol btw, the D models are diesel.. Very British
I love that the Velar has that huge paint selection almost as large as the full size Range Rover's paint selection and you can get the satin finish on most paints just like the full size. Really makes it more special as opposed to your regular everyday metallic paints.
5.5 for performance? wtf. there's never a car that's 10 for you. your standards insult the engineering of this car.

Is the towing capacity really that low?? It is a lot higher than that in the UK.
Probably depends on the engine. I'd imagine it's a lot higher on the higher performance diesels.
North America uses different tow rating standards than the UK and Europe because Americans tend to tow at a lot higher speeds and use a higher percentage tongue weight to make towing at 70-80mph more stable

If my 2019 has Apple Car Play, I’m pretty sure the 2018 does too.
If you’re going to review a car, perhaps you should at least consult the sales brochure to figure out what the car has and what it doesn’t. Apple CarPlay and android auto are standard on the Velar. Not trying to bash you too hard but this is one of my pet peeves about RUclips car reviews. People that don’t actually do all their research before they start talking about something.
The blinker on the Velar is as loud as an 82 Buick
