    Love that you have a birdhouse! Wish hellebores would thrive in my environment since they’re so beautiful.

      Oh the one I showed at the beginning is just a decoration my aunt hand made, but I do have a real one and a bee hotel as well. Wildlife is always welcome here ☺️🐝 Oh that's a pity they don't grow well for you, what seems to be the problem?

    It is so nice that you have plants for all seasons. You gave me courage to do that too, my balcony was empty in wintertime before I saw your videos . 💚🙏

      Hey 👋🏻! It is! So exciting to see everything come back to life. Thank you so much! How are things looking in your garden? Any signs of spring yet?

      @17m2garden I have fruit trees in pots (a mulberry, (2) figs, (2) peaches, and a lemon). The lemon never takes a winter nap; however, the other trees are waking up. 💃My Lil Sis share a few bulbs with me, and they are waking. I have three pots with an allium in each...they are only 12 inch pots. The 4th has some type of small lily. You influenced me to step into the world of spring bulbs.😃

    Hi, Dominika! My lasagna bulbs started to bloom!!! My very first bulbs! I'm absolutely thrilled with happiness 😍 Just wanted to let you know and thank you for your videos, they help me a lot! ❤ Oh, and one question: can these bulbs be used next year? Thank you! 💚🌿

    • @17m2garden
      @17m2garden  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Krisztina! That's so awesome, I'm really happy for you 👏🏻☺️! Yes, you can keep pretty much any bulbs except for Tulips, they don't come back well from year to year. On my Spring Bulbs playlist you will find some tutorials on what to do with bulbs once they are done blooming ☺️

    I'm so looking forward to spring and seeing your beautiful balcony in bloom. I always plant my tulips and alliums in black nursery pots and then I put them in between my terracotta pots... I do the same with all my seedlings, just like you I always sow waaaaay too many 😅 and don't know what to do with them afterwards,... but I always find a place for them in the end because I don't have the heart to throw them away. 🌷💚🌷

      @17m2garden  8 месяцев назад +1

      Aww that's so nice to hear! Haha I know right! You simply can't get rid of perfectly healthy plants, you gotta find a spot for them no matter what 😅🙌🏻 But I think that's actually really clever to plant some seasonal plants like bulbs and tubers in plastic pots! You could start summer plants early this way too and then when the time is right you just switch the plants from spring to summer!

      Hi! These are Thuja occidentalis, great low maintenance conifers, grow well in full sun and partial shade, very winter hardy too 👍🏻!

    Hi! I see the soil is mostly wet on your bulbs. Did you start regular watering? Mine are slowly starting to come up too and I don't know when I should start watering. Last autumn/ winter is the first year I planted bulbs on my balcony and I have to say it's all because of you and your videos! Your balcony always looks so pretty in spring! Thank you!
    edit: I want to add that I have an open balcony but with a roof and we didn't have much rain to reach the pots that are all against the wall.

    • @17m2garden
      @17m2garden  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Yes, you can start watering them regularly once they start to sprout. I actually just posted a Short about watering and fertilizing bulbs ! Aww thank you for your lovely comment, that's honestly so nice to hear that my videos inspired you 🥰!

    Love seeing this garden grow and evolved over the months and years! Thinking of getting a thuja thanks to these videos. 😊I'm curious whether you've ever owned a sago palm (cycad)?

    May I ask you about your pots? Are the terracotta ones chosen purely from the aesthetic point of view or is there another reason behind this choice? And would you still recommend terracotta pots for a very sunny balcony or is it better to stick to glazed/plastic ones to try to retain more water?

    • @17m2garden
      @17m2garden  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hi! The majority of my pots are indeed terracotta but I use many other kinds too - plastic, metal, grow bags, wooden crates, wicker baskets etc. Each has some advantages and disadvantages. You're right, plastic will retain more moisture, which is an advantage in the summer, but it can quickly turn into a disadvantage causing your plants to rot if Fall and Winter in your climate are cold and rainy. I am planning on making a video comparing different types of pots in a couple of weeks so stay tuned ☺️
