Steve ROGERS 😊
My husband and are currently stationed in Germany....hopefully headed to Texas next...🙏🏻🤘🏻
Amen!
Currently trying to become a cop training like crazy, glad to see support for law enforcement.
Best of luck man
Good for you, but please take your oath to the Constitution and Bill of Rights seriously and not just a order follower.
Thanks, hopefully they don't disband Seattle PD before I get in there.
@@TheJbrew51 nah man it'll be good have faith
Power on brother. I'm in the same boat, but not in Seattle. Currently in a law enforcement academy and hoping to get into highway patrol. It is a tough time to try, but be serious about doing the right thing and always do the right thing. Trust in God and God bless
If Evan is ever elected as Governor of Idaho, I am moving back to Twin Falls
@PAPA LEGBA no place like it brother
YES!!!! ❤️❤️BRCC 💪🏻💪🏻👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻 I’m a retired Baltimore police officer. I worked East Baltimore and was diagnosed with PTSD in 2011. I had 24 years service when I retired. My PTSD was cummulative from a day in and day out roller coaster ride in very violent sectors within the city. I’ve had many close call and thank God I was on my game with a bit of good luck...
We had a saying on the job, “Your worst day; my everyday.” The situations encountered in law enforcement cause a hyper vigilant state in all officers, as you guys discussed, you go from a mundane call to a call for an active shooter and that takes its toll. I agree Sim training should be mandatory for any official who has to oversee police departments. Hell, let them do the paint round Sims AND the video Sims...let them experience how jacked you get when being’ shot’ at. Police need more funding- our academy yraining was only 6 months. Thanks for the discussion you guys!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊
Much Respect from Northern AZ🙏🏼🇺🇸🙏🏼
Guys! Love you show massive fan from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪 please bring Shawn Ryan on your show 💪🏻🤙🏻
LEO from Virginia here.
These past couple of weeks have been incredibly discouraging, and it is making me really questioning why I do this job. Listening to this podcast is such a breath of fresh air. I was leaving SWAT training today and we were all discussing if we really want to do this job anymore. The decisions, proposed policy/law changes, and lack of support being thrown our way are going to make people quit wanting to be LEOs.
They are trying to take away what is called qualified immunity for police officers. Basically what that entails is that a LEO can not be PERSONALLY sued for something that happens at work. As it stands now, only the Police Department or Sheriff's Office that the LEO works for can be sued for actions taken at work in their capacity as an LEO. If that gets taken away and we make a decision that someone disagrees with at work they can sue and all of our personal assets are at risk.
Needless to say as I was leaving training today I was pretty down in the dumps about the future of a career that I love so much and I knew I needed a pick me up. It was amazing when I opened up the RUclips app, went to this page, and this was the video I saw.
Thank you guys so much for all that you do, and the support that you give the LEO community.
THANK YOU for what you do everyday!! It's a thankless job but most of us love and appreciate you and we will fight any attempt to remove qualified immunity-- the very idea is rediculous!
God bless you brother. Mat said it so well, teachers and LEO are the most important jobs but you guys get dumped on and paid so unfairly. My wife is a teacher and I have 4 LEO'S in my family and my heart breaks for you guys. Keep fighting the good fight and hopefully this ship will right itself sooner than later.
In regards to the police being more vulnerable to legal action. How do you think officers will personally adapt to that change? I immediately think of doctors and how some are too scared to act outside of their comfort zone in fears of “malpractice”. I feel this has some quantifiable net negative on the effectiveness of policing.
Dude, I grew up in Virginia and you have a special place in my heart. You’ll be on my mind every day.
Fairfax County police saved me immediately after I (luckily) escaped an assault/abduction event which very quickly turned into a months long active stalker situation, and they stood by my side every step of the way until I had my lifetime protective order in my hand and a county funded alarm system installed in my house.
They literally sat in front of my house all night and day for the first week after the incident then drove by my house several times a day after that. (I think they were better funded 20 years ago.)
I can’t imagine the shit they’re dealing with right now... or you.
💙I back the blue for life.💙
Force on force training for politicians: brilliant idea!
THANK. YOU.
Feels good to finally hear something good towards Law Enforcement.
I'm a 20+ yr LEOW & yes, there's a very low P.O.S.T. (Police Officer Standard & Training) requirement for most states, usually around 10 weeks, 400 hours; however, that is only the beginning. After graduating, an Officer is a Trainee for 4-6 months, and sometimes longer. I'm a huge advocate for LEO's, but I do think that the bad account for closer to 20% of most Dept's. That's due to the difficulty of reporting them & the backlash on Officers who do. Removing Qualified Immunity can START WITH POLITICIANS. Lol. Love what you're doing, guys. God Bless You & Yours!
Preach on, brother.
Preach on, brother.
God damn I love Evans rants because they are truth !!
You missed where the Seattle Mayor first said it was just as though they were having a big block party there, then later followed that up by saying it was going to be like having a Summer of love... WTF Just another one of our wonderful Democrat run cities and states...
And then they protest outside her house and vandalize it and she states...this is domestic terrorism, its got to stop.....I guess the summer of love season has passed??
I can only speak to CA, California P.O.S.T. Requires a 6 month academy and an additional 6 month Field Training program prior to being thrown to the wolves. This barley gets you to the basics. Some agencies requires quarterly advanced Officer training, which is still not enough.... Kudos to you guys, you are the first people I’ve heard on any level talking about the real problem, bureaucracy. Mayors, City Councils, City Manager’s etc... Don’t allocate enough money for LE nor to the programs such as homelessness and mental health, which by the way, many police chiefs out west have been trying to implement for years. The politicians only care about are their next political projects.
And the commiefornia LEO still suck at their job as badly as they do? Even with all that training?
You need to have Dan Crenshaw on a podcast just like this one! And dont hold back on him!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Conservative liberal (yes liberal) here, this was one of the best podcasts i've heard in awhile. I'm not saying I agree with everything you say, that is the perk of being a free American with a free opinion, but you hit the nail on the head for me on a lot of things.Longer thought ahead if you care.
I could list the things I liked but honestly, the biggest thing is the bullshit policies of the current officials. They don't answer to their constituents that put them in power. Our government votes on their blue and red lines. If they don't then they get outcast as they didn't follow the status quo which is HORSESHIT. Last time I checked its a government for the people by the people.
So much truth! Half the battle is seeing where the problems lie.
Strange i didn't catch the part in the constitution that says where i CAN'T carry my gun.....its right after the "shall not be infringed" part im sure
It's interesting to me how many elected leaders, while violating their oath of office, go out of their way to criminalise a Constitutionally protected right...especially the Second Amendment.
Outstanding pod cast! Thanks BRCC!
In regards to the Academy time statements. Yes, the Academy can be say, 14 weeks to what ever the longest is, greatly depends on state and agency. But, the part that is left out of that, is the months of on the job training. That also varies greatly. Some are cadet programs that take a year plus, or just an FTO program than can go on for months. The biggest problem is, in some smaller agencies and communities they can go a whole career without the experience you can get in a single day in a large, heavily populated city or county.
Hey evan, you're always up in Idaho, when in the hell is Coeur D' Alene getting a damn BRCC coffee house up here?! I've had to make due with dutch bros as a means to stay away from hipsterbucks. Plant a flag up here, man!
Evan hit it on the head.
P.O.S.T. standards are by state to become a police officer. In Colorado its 556 hours. You may take longer to become a chef by hours, but Law Enforcement is everyday on the job training training. The Academy was 6 months long. Then I had 4 months of Field Training with a Corporal. Even after 10 months of continual training, I knew shit about being a cop after being set free. After all these years on the job I still learn something everyday. Officers in this state are also required to go to continued education for perishable skills.
Its still not enough.
Who needs therapy when I can listen these guys drop the F bomb every 2 seconds….love it. 😂
Great episode ! Enjoy both the audio podcast and all the "youtubes" stuff BRCC/Mat/et al. Just for background 23 states have "Castle Doctrine" laws and 26 states, including FL and TX, have "Stand Your Ground" laws. Only 2 locations have a "Duty to Retreat" law (VT & District of Columbia). Appreciate all you guys have done and all you continue to do for a better Country.
Awesome show, and Evan nailed it at the end. Thanks Mat for the LTC course update. Some things have changed since i took the course. One of the original licensed guys that had the 10 hour course to get a license. Jarred, keep your head in the clouds, and your guns well oiled. Logan, you need to speak up man, you good things to say. USAF Retired.
The most logic in any podcast of 2020. Keep up the good work!!
FUND THE POLICE! total blue supporter here!
@@Ghastly_Grinner stop being pissed about police and begin to point the blame where it belongs. Being upset at police for enforcing ridiculous laws is like blaming your hand for punching you in the face. The politicians are the brain telling police what to do go after the politicians.
@@Ghastly_Grinner yes blame the symptom and not the the virus itself. The reason nothing ever changes.
For me that's the free range dream team. No offense cuz he's your friend but I'm so happy you left Ross Faterson. I can only listen to that guy for so long. Love you guys!
I totally agree put the legislation through these situations and fund the police for better cops
More Military Veterans need to run for office and I believe 1 of you 4 should try
To all law enforcement , you are not alone!
Finally the whole gang is back on 🙌
These podcasts are great! Keep up the awesome work.
As someone from Washington state, I agree with everything stated on this podcast
Awesome podcast guys. Never has there been more truth spoken anywhere !!
US and Texas Law Shield is a great program for gun owners. Great Show!!
You all fucking rock 💪🏻🤙🏻
Will buy some t-shirt when I can afford it! woohoo 🤪
Best conversation I've heard the core four have so far. Freedom on y'all.
It makes me really happy that I am not the only one to feel this way. I appreciate you guys. Miss my military friends.
The amount of training hours for law enforcement varies state to state for those academies, also, don't forget that there is usually an FTO program after the academy and that veries from one department to another as well as state to state.
As a Louisiana resident I feel very well represented by this episode. Oh and Logan... it's loose-iana.
Well done, Gentlemen... one of your best!!
Evan is the coffee Wizard. Out there brewing some killer coffee like a wizard brews potions 🧙♂️
Love the core 4 great podcast guys.
I read the title wrong. I thought it said: *"FUN the Police".* Either way, I'm in.
Evan you need to run for Congress and put some common sense back in those chambers! Need to set up an system to draft Evan for president ! I'm in.
That would be awesome to have valid ffl information on here. Keep up the awesome guys.
Y'all need to look into USCCA for carry insurance. I just moved back to the states after the AF kept me overseas for 15 years and that is who I went through. Loving life in AZ right now!
As a person born in Seattle I am so ashamed of my hometown and my state. And I was crying with laughter listening to yall just rail on Chaz/Chop! I agree with Evan. Let them have it and let them fail. Lol
I wish I could work for you guys. But I’m not near you guys and I’m very young so... but keep up the podcasts!
I have been discussing recently if it would be good/feasible for police to be on a "deployment rotation" to reduce burn-out and complacency. 6/9/12 months on street 3/6 months off or something similar based on metrics. During the 3 month cycle: Community building/outreach, CQB, Situational training (multi-target de-escalation, etc) , Hand-to-hand/Combatants, Support, etc.
NOTE: I am not stating that being a police officer is the same as Iraq/Afghan or vice versa nor to militarize the Police. Unfortunately it's 2020 and I have to state this cuz shitbirds on both sides will cry wolf.
Regarding KPI's, ya'll are failing to remember many people don't even know what that means (they don't even know the concept of personal responsibility) and you can't measure what you don't know. We certainly should though.
Great discussion gents!
We agree It's important to examine the law makers that are responsible for controlling police funding, etc, and not blame the police for issues that start higher up, but the higher up we go, we only reach our body of citizenry. We are the ones responsible for voting them into office. And if they got there because of corruption, we are the ones responsible for allowing it to continue.
We have a code, a creed, and the only thing that defines it is the constitution. We. are. free.
each state has it own required amount of hours for training. Florida for instance is 770 hours to be state certified. Then each agency has separate additional training they can employ prior to going into Field Training. My agency has an additional 480 hours before going to the street.
After hearing Evan talk about our strategy overseas, I think I would love to hear him talk with Dan Crenshaw about this topic.
I believe in funding the police.
We should have some changes which only helps everyone.
One: invest in screening and recruitment for new LEO. We should have the best of our community on the frontlines to stop the chaos. In return to get the best you need to pay the best.
Two: training training training! Any serviceman young or old knows these. Like in the old saying in the Army, " train as you fight and fight as you train". I think there should be a like a 1 day training every week ( at least) to keep their train sharp. And yes this training should be paid for.
Three: there is needed a large PR for the police. Community outreach between the police and locals to have them feel and know they are not devils in blue and they can come to them for help. This is the hardest to do i believe. This is mainly in larger cities
Four: we need support system for the LEO. There is alot of bad stuff they have to do and see. They should have free help with dealing with the situations. LEO are not robocops they are normal men and women bad stuff day to day can hurt their mental heath
Five: i did not think of this til you all said this. That leadership mostly non-LEO should be responsible for their choices and go through some training on how their LEO have to deal with. Like shooting house training or even some ride alongs
Okay that is my ideas i hope i did not bore anyone
I have had very similar discussions about the psychological aspect of specific calls police officers are on and should be pulled from duty for that day if they do experience some thing crazy. Like you said they are people too. Being prior service I understand that aspect. they need to better in evaluating ones psychological state.
Mat/Jared 2020! Great ideas gentleman.
I live in WA. Thank you Evan

12:11 “I touched his boat” and then silence lol
Right on time!
Should we talk about improving food stamps the same way people want to improve the police?
This would have been a good topic to have Donut Operator on for. We need to put corrupt politicians in jail, and hold them accountable for what they do like with New York's governor should be arrested for negligent homicide for putting covid positive people in long term care facilities and nursing homes with the most vulnerable members of our society to the disease leading to their deaths.
CHUD- Cannabalistic Humanoid Under Dwellers! NOICE
Is it possible to have four Presidents that run BRCC also???
Fucking love these guys.
People have absurd ideas of what basic police training is, they seem to think every one of them is on SEAL Team 6 (or what their imagination even thinks THAT is) and still don't understand how hard the things they expect are.
Each state has it's own requirements for police training. Texas academies are 6 months for full time students. Longer for part timers.
JT’s shirt is fucking awesome and I want one
I rember when I was a kid my dad telling the garbage men and firefighters got paid more than the police because people are happy every time they come and everyone is not happy when police come or right tickets and never remember when a cop helped or saved someone
3:18 Go for the Chester A. Arthur.
Yes!
You guys....❤️♥️♥️♥️🎤
Ohio has a castle law and SYG is in the Senate waiting on a vote
Budget is a major problem I know cause my dad was the range master at the police station he worked at and I rember having to police all the brass at the range so I could go home and reload them so he had enough rounds to train and qualify them and that was what I did for my allowance fro 12 to 16
US doesnt even have to declare war on Chud, just wait for the Hells Angels & Mongols to get there. Thats gonna be TikTok gold.
This is why we need Evan to be elected even though he doesn’t want a legislative position. He doesn’t want the position, but like our First and Cincinnatus, he’s who we need.
The lack of training provided for police infuriates me. Livid. Enraged. Would kick a nun in the teeth kind of angry.
My 21 year old daughter, during her senior year of high school, had to go through 4-5 hours of training at a separate facility every single school day for at least 3/4 of the school year to be qualified, by number of hours, to be tested by the state cosmetology board in order to get a license *to cut hair & was eyebrows* !!!
Granted, I’m extremely proud of her that she chose a trade where she’s making money every day and enjoying her job, while her former classmates are racking up student debt...
But Jesus Christ!!!! Several of the men who come to the salon, specifically requesting that she cut their hair, because they trust her skill & value the relationship built, are... yep... LEOs: city, county, Sheriff’s Deputies, & Indiana State Police. She has twice the training as a hairstylist as the men seated in front of her, who are charged with protecting her, should a gunman enter the salon.
*THAT* is some scary shit.
I thinks it’s time I got off the bench and started getting city & county officials asses to push for increased funding for comprehensive officer training.
It’s a sad state of affairs when a civilian is more trained to take scissors to a police officer’s hair, than the officer is to defend the salon.
Y'all should have Jake Barr from TikTok on. He's former military and he's dead ass funny af.
Logan's mic is real quiet. Personally, I think the audio needs to be more balanced from both studios.
Were they talking about outlaw morgan.
Carry Guard, and USCCA-just ask John Lovell.
So I see you guys weren’t really taking political sides in this. But I know you guys are right wing conservatives. Do you think Trump is doing a better job than previous presidents? I think he is doing good work and actually cares about this country and will put politics out of the way and get right things done.
Im not a fan of the cops, but i definitely dislike anarchy more
Anarchy is self governance. ruclips.net/video/2IyiUSVmxFw/видео.html
@@Ghastly_Grinner problem is the criminals begin to only victimize the weak and we don't want to live in a society where everyone including woman and children need to be armed ready to throw down with a bad guy. That's not civilization.
I live in Washington and there is a significant amount of people who disagree with Governor Inslee's actions. However, that opinion is not heard here by the very polarized state.
Neighbor to the south, and I completely agree with you.
53:40 about bankers and iraq war rant is pretty funny and sad at the same time.
as a retired Leo I used to ask my Rookies if they could kill an animal, if they said no then I would tell them to find another job

damn y'all mean, at least let logan know his mic isn't on lol #FundThePolice
"it would be like blaming the barista" - fucking thank you. i've been saying it's like blaming the retail workers for the SOP put in place by management.
everybody says it that has some level of influence/power/experience that could be a leader, that we need competent leadership, but no one in that position will do it, because the job is garbage. so the only people doing the job are the ones that are playing it like a career. so in the end, we all know what needs to be done, but, it doesn't matter because those best suited always think there's more time or someone else better for the job.
did i hear Mat say Street Bike Tommy?
