    That entire hunting conversation was basically “who cares as long as it’s dead”. Which is so true as long as you’re enjoying yourself and ethically killing the animal and harvesting it correctly not letting it go to waste then it’s nobody’s business how or why or with what you’re hunting.

    Great podcast guys (as usual)
    For my two pence worth, from when we are born we start to produce the lens we look on life with, the experience’s we feel and the lessons we learn at home and at school. This lens changes as we move through life and experience other things, be they mundane work activities or serving our respective countries and putting lives on the line. Everyone’s lens on life will be different and we need to accept that.
    As an example a photographer looks at their subject matter and wants to figure out how to show the best image possible (in their mind) to the viewer and will change their lens as needed to accomplish this. At the end of the day the viewer of any final image needs to connect with it, this is the same with art and also the written or verbal word - it’s all subjective and no one image or word is right or wrong, we just have different lenses of what we think ‘good looks like’
    For me, the key to why someone see’s something differently to me is to listen, discuss and understand the other persons view on what they see or perceive and then hopefully learn (or not).
    Thoughts from a guy across the one in the UK.

      The big issue here seems that too many people won't entertain anything but their echo chamber. I personally have looked at things from all angles, but I just can't get my head up my ass far enough to stay stuck on the leftist ideals.

    • @42invincible
      @42invincible 3 года назад

      @@ironclad0331 - that’s an interesting paradigm, does an arse have an echo? I guess it depends on where the arse is in relation to the chamber or surrounding they are in. For me, some arse’s have the ability to resonate their sound effect as far as they choose to, some arse’s though can also decide to suppress this noise if they so desire, very much up to the individual - same same but different. I guess, always choose the arse you prefer to be closer to.

      That just means you’re a reasonable minded person. Being able to listen to someone you disagree with and be open enough to actually understand how much effort and care goes into hunting for the purpose of meat and not just call it murder like a lot of the vegan crowd would. Vegans get a negative reputation because most people hear the ones that are the loudest. Just like left vs right politics these days. The majority isn’t going to stick their fingers in their ears when someone disagrees with them. Kudos for not only listening to something you don’t support but also being able to admit and understand the respect a good hunter has for the animal.

    @23:00 mark regarding “What other people think about your shot distance”. So rule #1 DONT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THEM OR TALK ABOUT IT period! - the miserable people that say “OH YOU SHOULDNT HUNT WITH A RIFLE, ITS TOO EASY”. Uhhh LISTEN UP DEERKILLERS. At the end of the day your killing that animal so don’t even start selling BS trying to talk about how you KILL the deer NICELY with your damn Bow. - the fact is your killing the animal period. It really doesn’t matter what tool you use the outcome will be exactly the same. You could use a bow, rifle, brick, land mine, grenade, etc. don’t even try to speak for the deer of what’s more humane. For all we know a bow might be the most painful. Your not the deer. So don’t fabricate fantasies about how your a bow hunter and your doing it “THE RIGHT WAY”! That’s simply your own mind struggling with taking out the animal so your brain tries to make sense and justify how your not hurting the deer. -- I say this because the bow hunters love to go around and speak for the deer when they aren’t the deer getting shot. I’m not impressed when it’s a human being since we are capable of anything. Now show me a giraffe with a bow and I’ll be impressed. Understand the bow was designed for human beings. So no shii humans can hunt with it.

    All due respect gents but surely when considering the traits of a good leader, a strong moral compass is essential. As you say, there are all things we can learn from great military minds, irrespective of their sides, but to call any Confederate or Nazi general a "great leader" is completely false. A great leader in those circumstances would have understood the value of a human life irrespective of race.
