Rigged? Destroying Basketball.. 2012 NBA Finals flops and refereeing in favor of Miami Heat. Part 2

  • "They are the biggest flopping team in the NBA. It'll be very interesting (to see) how the referees officiate the series and how much flopping they reward... Every drive to the basket, they have guys not making a play on the ball, but sliding in front of drivers. Oftentimes they're falling down even before contact is even being made. It'll be interesting to see how the series is officiated." ----Pacers head coach Frank Vogel says about the Heat
    This video was not made to malicious disrespect the Heat and their fans. It was made disrespect the fanatical idolizing fans who attack anyone that didn't agree with the Finals. I'm just being their voice. We are not HATERS! We have a right to disagree like everyone else and not be attacked by fanatical idolizing fans... I am not a fan of a certain team. I'm a fan of the NBA. I've been watching it since 1990. I have no favorite team today because players don't care about the cities they play for. They only care about the money and rings. The state that the NBA is in is embarrassing. Some of you weren't old enough or born yet to understand the horrible, less competitive, changes it's taking. I think Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Chris Paul, Carmelo, KD, Bosh, Rose, D.William, D.Howard, etc. are some of the greatest players in the league. The Miami Heat are too talented to have to whine for calls on every transition, flop, and receive special treatment. This is killing the sport... The Miami Heat are now the representatives of the NBA, I'll give them and other players the respect they deserve when I see them play hard, honest basketball again.
    Furthermore, the reason why I named most if these staggers and falls FLOPS is because having individual names would be very excessive. A flop is when a player tries to or overreacts to physical contact, whether they fall completely down or staggers, just to obtain an Offensive or Defensive foul on their opponent. Whether they get the call or not doesn't authenticate it as a flop. You are giving the flop too much authenticity as a NBA technique when its a dirty sneaky move that takes away from the game. Players are doing it so much right now that we don't know if its intentional or unintentional...

    Before even watching this video I am going to say that game 6 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals Between the Lakers and the Kings was definitely without a doubt rigged in favor the Lakers however the NBA's definition or inturpretation of what a foul is by the refs has gotten in general totally ridiculous. The physicality of the playing defense in the NBA has been completely removed from the game for some reason. Its like they made fouling politically correct or something. I used to love the NBA but I cant watch it anymore because theirs just nothing to watch. The refs control the out comes of every game between two teams that are similarly good. Its all about who gets the bullshit foul calls at the end of the game and who doesn't and when I say BS foul calls I mean when a defender is just playing good defense and goes straight up to defend a shot and the ball handler drives into him and gets the call. The refs have more of an impact on the game then coaching or the bench players do. It truly is amazing if you watch an NBA game from the 90's and you compare it to now just how pussy the game has gotten. You literally aren't allowed to play defense on anyone their is absolutely no touching allowed its utterly INSANE. I dont understand the motive for the NBA to take it in this direction and the NBA's rating have proven that point.

    pretty obvious the NBA fixed Miami Heat to win those Finals. Unfortunately, it's not illegal, and perfectly allowed for that to happen.

    • @gtownlt23
      @gtownlt23 10 лет назад

      Um....how is it illegal for a privately owned business to fix their own outcomes? Remember, everyone is under a labor contract filled with anti-trust laws.

    • @gtownlt23
      @gtownlt23 10 лет назад +4

      NBA players, refs, coaches and all personnel are all working for the same company. Each team is a franchise operated by the same organization. They're all under labor contracts and are told what to do by their employer. The NBA is filed under federal law as an entertainment entity, not legitimate competition. This has already been argued over and presented in countless supreme court and federal court cases. The NBA is legally allowed to fix their own outcomes.

    People who think that the NBA is not Rigged can you explain the Flagrant foul on Fisher?

    • @WEEZYFANx2136
      @WEEZYFANx2136 9 лет назад +2

      I mean it's simple he made no play on the ball or did anything basketball move. He lowered his shoulder to stop LeBron. It just looks bad because LeBrons bigger. Picture that being Chalmers, would you feel the same way if Fisher Just lowered his shoulder then?

    • @websterthomas2012
      @websterthomas2012 9 лет назад

      ***** are we watching the same play? Fishers shoulders didn't connect with LeBron. LeBron lowered his shoulders and barreled into him

    • @WEEZYFANx2136
      @WEEZYFANx2136 9 лет назад +1

      Webster Thomas are you blind? You can see Fisher lean in plain as day

    • @websterthomas2012
      @websterthomas2012 9 лет назад

      Fisher did lean yes. The fact of the matter is that LeBron had plenty of time to shift. He charged straight into him. If you watched the play you see LeBron saw Fisher and instead of shifting to the side he charged straight into him full force. LeBron then lowered his shoulders and hit him square in the chest. Like if you watch the play and freeze at the contact you will see that Fisher changed his center of gravity but LeBron is the won who forced that much contact.
      Now we can argue if that's a Charge or Block but that's not really the point.
      The point is why is that Flagernt?

    • @WEEZYFANx2136
      @WEEZYFANx2136 9 лет назад

      Webster Thomas I don't think it should have been a flagrant, but I see why it was. Fisher literally made no basketball move or action it was I'm gonna lower my shoulder and launch myself at you to stop you, is that fair? Could LeBron have moved quicker maybe, but you're going full speed your not thinking hey let me go around so he doesn't launch his self at me. And you figure a man LeBrons size if he really went into Fisher don't you think Fisher woulda fell? Just saying

    The irony is that the heat shot a franchise low free throws last year, and they had 30 more personal fouls called on them rather than the spurs. Sometimes the free throws and calls depend on your offense more than just the officiating, for example, the Thunder coach runs terrible offensive sets that has onely one option. Compare this to the heat, and they have many options in most of their sets, so they have more flexibility to do things like draw fouls in comparison to teams like the thunder

    • @ryanf1296
      @ryanf1296 10 лет назад +1

      shooting free throws isnt the only way that refs give special treatment to teams. especially against the heat, opposing star players get into foul trouble fast, which limits their minutes, helping the heat

      The guy's vid clearly shows he has no understanding of the fundamentals of calling charges. The Haslem vs Durant and the Bron vs Durant charges are an example. Totally different. Durant took a charge and he hit LeBron to the side. Haslem took the hit to the chest. Big difference.

I almost stopped watching Game 6 after Lebron got called for that charge against Iguodala. He's sliding left and impedes James' path; the definition of a blocking foul... I don't even know what a charge is anymore. Draymond Green puts his off hand on the guys shoulder when he jumps for a rebound, defensive 3 seconds on most every James backdown, James just in general not getting many calls when he drove to the rim... its ridiculous the amount of crap the Warriors got away with.

    The clip at 7.13 of LeBron is actually him talking about the people who rooted AGAINST him, who wanted him to fail. This was an interview that happened right after he & Miami lost to the Mavs in the 2011 finals. The whole speech goes, "All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. So they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they got to get back to the real world at some point.".. I don't know why you made it look like he was bad mouthing his fans.

    This is complete bs. Stern does NOT like the Heat. Lebron fcked it up for them.The league lost money. Lebron hardly gets ft since joining Miami. NBA makes more money when the talent is spread out (like the NFL). They're trying their hardest to Make James Harden look good. 11 ft/gm
    They don't want the Heat to inspire other teams to stack up. Stern would have to be an idiot to give Miami the championship. I bet Stern's wished he rigged some games so Cleveland would've kept Lebron.

    The fact that OKC still stayed in these games with all of these terrible calls shows that the 2012 Thunder were the best team in the NBA.The main reason this series was rigged was so the "big 3" could win a championship, I am a person who will give credit where credit is due, and the Heat didn't deserve the championship. Go ahead you bandwagon heat and Lebron fans thumbs this comment down if you want, you'll only be denying the truth of the 2012 NBA Finals.

    Wade played good for the second half of the series. In game 4 where he scored 32 and Lebron had 33, no was was saying a word about how Lebron played, but instead about how Wade played awesome(which he did, with 6 steals as well).
    When superstar 1A is averaging 27/8/7, he's going to get more coverage than superstar 1B who is only getting 21/5/5. Not to mention 1A has 4 MVP's out of the last 5 years, and is by far the most popular and polarizing player in the league.

    Lmao, half these are the right calls, go get a manual. Flopping is part of the game, LeBron does it once and everyone gets on his dick on how much he flops, but its been part of our game and will stay like that, yeah i wish it would stop but no matter who you are, derick rose, KD, Kobe, they all flop once a game. LeBron won his 2 rings fair and square. I don't understand why we can appreciate greatness for once, hes the best player in the world and is one of the most dominant sf in history.

What about the 49ers last play of the super bowl 4th and goal everybody said it was pass interference on the ravens. Who cares it's over move on with your life. You dont see people making 10 minute youtube videos nerd raging about a game. Seriously go out and get sunlight you take a game too seriously. You have a problem go play ball and take down the heat yourself.

    What I want to know is, what's wrong with being a Heat fan because Lebron plays there? Are Lebron fans not allowed to like the team he's playing on? That's all that it going on here, but for some reason they're "bandwagon fans." No, they're simply rooting for the team that they're favorite player plays for.

    Lol, how does setting the NBA record for fewest free throw attempts prove that it's rigged for the Heat. You're not thinking this one through are you. So what you're saying is, if the Miami Heat take more free throws than the other team... then it's rigged, and if they shoot less free throws than the other team... then it's somehow still rigged... right. I don't get the purpose of haters like you. I mean, you guys tend to have no stats whatsoever, and still act like martyr's for your cause. Wow.

  • @gtownlt23
    @gtownlt23 11 лет назад

    and basically, by attacking me for pointing out how the NBA can legally fix their own games, is somehow being disrespectful to a bunch of millionaire entertainers, is your case for proving the NBA ISN'T rigged?
    Spend more time skepticising how corrupt the NBA is, and less time "rooting for your team", throwing money at a scandalous league, and attacking people you don't even know....and you'll be surprised at how wrong you've been for beleiving it's real. ;)

  • @RockLobster2397
    @RockLobster2397 11 лет назад

    But what was their FTA vs the Spurs in this years finals? An NBA record setting low. But that doesn't mean that the NBA rigged it so the Spurs shot more freethrows, that just means they drove harder and played down-low which led to more fouling, now that doesn't mean that some calls were questionable, but hey refs make mistakes. You saying that the Heat had a high FTA in 2011 and 2012 means nothing. Go look at this year. Go look at other teams. It's not rigged, get over it.

  • @gtownlt23
    @gtownlt23 11 лет назад

    so now using "multiple poll results" ultimately decides who wins, and the NBA should just totally accept poll results now to crown their Champions?
    Not only that...but Stern needed a face, and someone with deep pockets (Mark Cuban) to represent the NBA and be the voice of the lockout that ensued after the Mavs title!
    It's not really talking shit if you simply follow the headlines & storylines.....instead of your "favorite team". It's just a matter of connecting the dots sorta say...

  • @gtownlt23
    @gtownlt23 11 лет назад

    what does "children who don't play basketball" have anything to do with the NBA rigging/fixing their venues?
    That 2011 Mavs title was a gag order from Stern to Mark Cuban on keeping his mouth shut about how rigged the games were (recall: 2006 Finals after Game 5), and the constant blogging of Cuban bashing Stern & the NBA about his crooked officiating. Cuban has the endless supply of money, and manipulation to challenge Stern about his league. Notice how Cuban has also been very quiet since.

  • @gtownlt23
    @gtownlt23 11 лет назад

    1 thing people don't and will not understand....is that the NBa CAN LEGALLY fix or alter their league to decide outcomes for whomever they want to win. NBA is still a business, and an entertainment venue for their "fans" to watch. If the NBA wants to decide, fix, rig, or alter who they choose to win to maximize their profits, it's perfectly legal for them to do that. NBA is an employer, and the referees are employees. If Stern tells his refs what to do, they are simply just "doing their job".

  • @draggonboy1000
    @draggonboy1000 11 лет назад

    Uh, the league needed a white champ dude. Whites America has shyed away because they hate blacks and the NBA is mostly.....young black males...gifted talented. Of course they see any attractive black male under the age of 35 as a thug, so there you have it. Plus Lebron mysteriously quit, i think he made a deal with Stern to let Dirk have one and in return, Stern hooded him up the next year...Stern prolly said, just flop and i'll take care of the rest.

    it pisses me off how all the best players get the most treatment from the umpires, especially lebron, he's a machine, do you really think he needs the umpires on his side to be great ? i wish basketball was like the old days, with jordan, bird and rodmen, just to name a few, when it wasn't about the money, it was about the love for the game that's what basketball should be, people should play it because they love it, not because of the big pay checks, so sick of miami these days.

  • @AussieHoosier
    @AussieHoosier 11 лет назад

    For all those who've had to suffer watching this conspiracy theory crap, and understand that basketball is a game of match ups and defense. From a diehard Celtics fan that HATES Wade + Chalmers- you'll appreciate the reasons OKC lost this series. Bad coaching, underwhelming everything by the Thunders 2nd+3rd best players (Westbrook+Harden) the best NBA defense by the Heat that you'll ever see- their rotations on D, ball movement on offense to find the open shooters is unreal.
    Go to above link..

  • @AussieHoosier
    @AussieHoosier 11 лет назад

    But you have no idea about basketball if you think that series was rigged. The Thunder lost because their coach Scott Brooks is terrible at match ups. Kendrick Perkins was their center and the Heat exploited the match up with a small ball shooting line up that put Perkins in no mans land for every minute he was out there. Thirdly, Russell Westbrook was terrible for 75% of that series, as was James Harden. The Heat did it 4 games to 1 and you're suggesting the NBA is responsible for that?

  • @BlackOps78321
    @BlackOps78321 11 лет назад

    Well look at one example. The Heat was highly favored to win the 2011 finals (based on multiple poll results) all over the US, excluding Texas and a few states around them. I remember seeing the map of the US in red (for the Heat) surrounding Texas and New Mexico in blue (for the Mavs).
    If the NBA was rigged or filled with real corruption, don't you think that they would have altered the 2011 finals so that the Heat would win?
    I love how children who don't play basketball talk shit.

  • @BlackOps78321
    @BlackOps78321 11 лет назад

    It's easy to say that someone is flopping when you are just a sideline spectator who doesn't even play basketball. These are 6 feet, minimum 170lb men sometimes running at max speed while balancing on a single leg. If one collides and one falls backwards then it makes perfect sense that the velocity and force of the hit can make them fall over. A flop is only 'blatant' falling over but many of these in this video and in most videos are just no-life internet nerds posting NBA hate against teams.

  • @slothb1773
    @slothb1773 11 лет назад

    The "rules"? yeah flopping is against the rules. The Heat get fined post-game but it's too late, momentum shifts. The fine for flopping should be so egregious ($1 mil per) that nba players would seriously reconsider. The Heat are more scrutinized because they've taken the title for the past two years. They flop and have made the nba crappier for it.
    That about wraps your comment up.

  • @BlackOps78321
    @BlackOps78321 11 лет назад

    + The other team has the same exact opportunities and plays by the same rules.
    + People who post these 'flop' videos are comparable to people who make 'ufo conspiracy' videos.
    + There's no shame in making a worse player run into you or take advantage if they or their team does not understand the rules of basketball.
    + There have always been fouls and people who claim such conspiracy nonsense.
    + The Heat stadium was still packed at the end of Game 6.
    I think that about wraps this video up.
