Rigged? Destroying Basketball.. 2012 NBA Finals flops and refereeing in favor of Miami Heat. Part 2

"They are the biggest flopping team in the NBA. It'll be very interesting (to see) how the referees officiate the series and how much flopping they reward... Every drive to the basket, they have guys not making a play on the ball, but sliding in front of drivers. Oftentimes they're falling down even before contact is even being made. It'll be interesting to see how the series is officiated." Pa...

ABOUT NAMING THEM FLOPS: The reason why I named most if these staggers and falls FLOPS is because having individual names would be very excessive. A flop is when a player tries to overreacts/over sell physical contact, whether they completely fall down or stagger, just to obtain an Offensive or Defensive foul on their opponent. Whether they get the call or not doesn't authenticate it as a flop....

    It's bad for the league. Two mvp-level players teaming up basically eliminates competition. We saw it with LeBron and Wade then we saw it with KD and Steph. It's better for the NBA if elite players are playing against each other instead of playing together.

    You guys need to read between the lines, the only super team that has actively harmed the entertainment value of the NBA was KD going to the Warriors, and that’s because of the salary cap randomly spiking and the Warriors being able to afford KD because they had Steph Curry on such a cheap contract due to his ankle issues. It’ll never happen that way again, an MVP joining a 73 win team. But I loved watching basketball when the big three in Boston or Miami were formed. They had star power, but obvious weaknesses in terms of age or a lack of depth around them. The Warriors in 2017 will never happen again, the stars literally aligned perfectly. So I agree with Kenny’s point, let the players go wherever they want because it’ll never water the league down as much as these guys think. I know they filmed this when the Miami big three was around, but the NBA had competitive balance back then so I don’t see what the issue was.

    Fun to go back to this conversation now after rhe super team concept no longer works and is somewhat dead in the NBA.

    • @HITMIDorBIN
      @HITMIDorBIN Месяц назад

      The super team concept still works when you have the right personnel. The Celtics, heat and Warriors proved this. They just call any of these teams a super team nowadays, when they aren’t really one

    As much as I loved Durant on OKC and OKC in general, the foul committed at 1.00 by Westbrook is the ultimate example as to why OKC didn't win: Westbrook. Man was a beast but his plays were everything but smart.

In fact, do ALL of MJs ring runs (91 excluded) and you'll find 10X worse footage than this. Realizing the champion was predetermined long b4 the season started!!

    I'm watching this 11 years later and amazingly, seeing the exact same thing Game 4 Wolves vs Mavs. They let them play pretty evenly in the 1st, Ant went to the line 8 times from fouls on drives, but then... Ant goes to line 0 times rest of the game. Luka gets 2 foul calls on 3s at the end of the 4th - one was a clear offensive foul on Luka, the other should have been a no call as Ant didn't even touch him. Speaking of Ant not touching Luka and getting a call, Kyrie Irving then fouled Naz Reid on the arm on the other end but no call. Ant and Gobert had 5 fouls each, and they fouled KAT out with 2 minutes left after he just hit three 3s in a row. All 3 of those guys are the Wolves best players, just like KD getting 5 fouls with a few minutes left in the 4th of Game 3 Nothing ever changes, history is just a circle. The NBA is more like the WWE with pre-picked winners and losers than it is an actual, fair, competitive sport *Edit: that's not even bringing up Game 2, where Jaden McDaniels got fouled on the arm by Kyrie only for the Mavs to end up with the ball. What could have potentially put the Wolves up by 4 ended in Luka hitting a 3 to take a 1-point lead. BS

    Commissioner of nba Adam silver nowadays must think of the new players contract to pay a small percentage fee back into this players from 80's 90's and early 20's like a credit because without those and especially without Michael Jefrey Jordan nba would be watched only in states in lets say around 15 states maybe 20, max. Couple of days ago Anthony Edward's dunk upon Josh Collins and the dude collapse like a piece of shit, embracing the dunk like a Negro gay but not like a man without screaming mama mama I want my mama.

    Kenny Was Spittin, just because these franchise players are in denial or oblivious doesn’t mean Kenny was any less right. The not good for the league argument is convoluted because owners are for business and players value their own self-interest at the end of the day, rightfully so.

  • @FilthyFellas-vz1ms
    @FilthyFellas-vz1ms 7 месяцев назад

    Old heads hate to admit it, but Kenny has a point, it's not on the superstars if their organization is incompetent and fails to build a good team around their superstar. The Cavs had a young LeBron for 7 years and did not get him any help, while the Thunder built a really good roster around KD. Which is why disgruntled superstars leave.

    Crazy watching this in 2024 where teams like the Nuggets and Bucks have won championships in the past few years. The league is in such an amazing place where even small market teams have superstars, and it's the most competitive the NBA has been possibly ever, but at least in a very long time. Even though you still have some toxic superstars out there that try to make super teams and ruin the parity, they're getting older, and ultimately, the league is so stacked with talent right now that it doesn't even matter. The Nuggets for example, they made some key trades like Aaron Gordon, but at the end of the day, they just built an amazing basketball team. All these super teams that have failed, just trying to stack superstar on superstar not taking into account team chemistry and how well they work together... it really is a beautiful thing what we have in the NBA today and it's changed so much since this time.

    The commissioner showed his balls by removing Draymond from game 5 of 2016 finals. That's when everyone knew it was a lock that Bron was going to beat Golden State. 1988 refs favored Lakers over Pistons on a fake Laimbeer foul. 2002 refs helped lakers over kings. NBA is shady.

    Kobe demanded a trade. A trade was even completed but blocked after. Shaq didnt win with the team that drafted him, he won with 2 teams he was traded to. If GMs trade guys who demand out and build superteams its fine but if someone completes their contract and chooses their destination thats way better than demanding out etc.
