My wife and I stayed there in 2022 in the South campground on site 128, which was quite large 15x20m, so there's definitely a lot of room. Only downfall was it was all open so we didn't really have any shade except for the sun shelter we brought. I love that this park is mostly grass sites, so you don't have to worry about mud if it rains. I agree with you on the beach, beautiful park area but not enough sand. We drove to Mara to check it out and was quite surprised with the size of the sand area. Just came across your channel and look forward to watching more videos. Happy 2024 travels!
Looks like a nice find. Camping time is the best time! Looks like 113 is a great site. So nice when the water is right there. Love your rig and bacon and eggs are classic! Would love to explore those trails!
Your camping video provides such valuable insights and tips for campers, It's inspiring to see you reignite your passion for camping and share it with us :)
Great to see you back camping for another season. I gotta say, your husband has a great radio voice! I wish I could sound as smooth as he does. The beard is pretty good too! 🧔🏻♂Looking forward to watching this season's adventures. Happy camping!
Thanks we're excited to be into our second season and learned at from last year. I'll pass that on to him. The beard is his pride and joy 🤣 and the voice is probably from his RUclips channel he does technology and gaming news - @mrsujano if you're interested!
@@TheAverageTourist I checked out his channel last year. He's doing very well. Everything he talked about was way out of my realm of reality though lol.
McRae Point is our go to provincial park. We find if you park on the "pad" then there is no problem levelling up. Your trailer placement was not on the pad and that was why 1 you had trouble leveling up and 2 you were a distance from the electric. We have never needed any extra cords in the north campground. One of our favourite sites is 55, nice and flat and open and grassy. We like 76 but when on it we have to strategically place our vehicles a certain way so that people don't cut through the site to get to the comfort station. When we first went there we had no trouble but since covid people cut through the sites. We are not beach people so that doesn't bother us.
Yeah we aren't used to the wide open sites and we wanted to try and face the water. But there were quite a few sites that were struggling to level. Maybe it was the soft ground. People also cut through our site here to walk to the water access which is not cool.
Some great tips about using the dumping station. The camp site seems rather nice. It is a bit open isn't it? I kind of like more secluded camping. The water views are very nice. I do appreciate that this camp site has quite the bundle of amenities. Also appreciate the clean bathrooms. I'm ready to go hiking along the water.
I agree with you... too open for our preferences. It kind of reminded me of a regular trailer park or some US parks we've seen on RUclips with no privacy. Definitely lots of amenities there
I would also add that at this time of the year the mosquitoes were as bad or worse than any northern park we have stayed at. Our bug clothing was needed
You really gave a great impression of the campsite. I think the water is still very cold at this time of year, but in summertime it must be fun! The remote part looked lovely, ok, you'll have to go a bit further... Can dogs go off leash in Canada?
Overall the park doesn’t look too bad. I would’ve definitely been bummed about the beach area not having much sand. Also, I would’ve still tried to not step on the goose poo.
We were at McRae this past weekend, and the site indicated that the park was completely booked. But no time were more than half of the campsites occupied.
Woo! Another camping season!
Hooray!

what a perfect place to camp and spend a few days. perfect views, open space, clean air, not too many people! Awesome!
The detailed information brought me back again to plan a camping trip.

Oh that water view was great, easy access to paddling is a nice perk too.
The park seemed very peaceful from your footage!
Going with some friends this holiday weekend. First timer. Very helpful. Thanks!
Hope you have a great time!
@@TheAverageTourist Turns out the folks changed to McGregor Point instead lol. Maybe one day I'll go to McRae if my first experience is a good one.

It's nice to know they also have a Day use area for non campers too. This looks like a beautiful campground. Thanks for sharing.
It's quite a nice campground! The day use area was 👌
I have no idea how to camp so this was very informative. Thanks for sharing.
Happy to!
Your camping video is so detailed, a novice camper like me, learns a lot from it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much, definitely trying to share as much info as I can.
So brilliant place to camp and so much for natural beauty around.
BEAUTIFUL AREA TO SPEND SOME DAYS WITH CAMPER FOR AN HOLIDAY IN RELAX 😀
excellent tour of the park, looks like a great place to camp
Thanks very much!

@Camping with the Coles oh nice, thanks! Yeah it's beyond me too 🤣
Beautiful Lake side views and a very nice place for camping.
Thanks! We liked the lake views a lot 👍
Beautiful place indeed to enjoy your camping. I can spend here quite a few days. I have not done camping before but would love to do it.
We really like camping and only started last year. Nature is so peaceful 😊
That seems like such a gorgeous place to set up camp! Such stunning natural landscapes! I cant wait to do some this summer!
Wow, the internet there is good enough to do a youtube live. That's cool. The area looks quite cosy and great for a relaxing trip near water.
Internet was surprisingly good there! Maybe because of how close it was to the town of Orillia. It was a nice getaway 👍
Thank you for introducing the information about camping, it was very helpful, thank you very much. 💯💯
What a gorgeous camping spot! Thanks for the tips 😊
Wow... Wonderful place for camping. Thanks for the informative video.
BTW a new subscriber here.
Thanks so much for the support! We enjoyed it there 😊
Not too shabby of a place to camp! Looks like you had a great time.

You guys always do a great job with these camp videos. Looking forward to the future videos.
nice to see your back on to camping, i watched your camping videos and they're amzing, would you ever do a boondocking video?
Thanks very much, really appreciate it! We boondocked last year a few times at Harvest Hosts but didn't really film it. Maybe this summer!
Love that your site had a water view! Did those reserve campers ever show up?
I would also add that at this time of the year the mosquitoes were as bad or worse than any northern park we have stayed at. Our bug clothing was needed
Oh wow we had only a few mosquitoes, I didn't really notice them when we were there.
Nice great video
Thanks!
It’s so nice to have a waterfront view. It makes up for the rolling hills and open space. Were you close to the bathroom facilities?
You really gave a great impression of the campsite.

It was 👍

The beach is normally that small which makes it perfect for family’s that don’t love sand
A positive way to look at it! 👍
Great video!
Thanks!

I wonder if people just book and no-show or of the park keeps some sites looking booked. It was so dead when we were there.
Good video 👍🏻
I'm curious, how did you guys meet ?
