    Woo! Another camping season!

    My wife and I stayed there in 2022 in the South campground on site 128, which was quite large 15x20m, so there's definitely a lot of room. Only downfall was it was all open so we didn't really have any shade except for the sun shelter we brought. I love that this park is mostly grass sites, so you don't have to worry about mud if it rains. I agree with you on the beach, beautiful park area but not enough sand. We drove to Mara to check it out and was quite surprised with the size of the sand area. Just came across your channel and look forward to watching more videos. Happy 2024 travels!

    McRae Point is our go to provincial park. We find if you park on the "pad" then there is no problem levelling up. Your trailer placement was not on the pad and that was why 1 you had trouble leveling up and 2 you were a distance from the electric. We have never needed any extra cords in the north campground. One of our favourite sites is 55, nice and flat and open and grassy. We like 76 but when on it we have to strategically place our vehicles a certain way so that people don't cut through the site to get to the comfort station. When we first went there we had no trouble but since covid people cut through the sites. We are not beach people so that doesn't bother us.

    • @TheAverageTourist
      @TheAverageTourist  Год назад

      Yeah we aren't used to the wide open sites and we wanted to try and face the water. But there were quite a few sites that were struggling to level. Maybe it was the soft ground. People also cut through our site here to walk to the water access which is not cool.

  • @AdventuresOfATravelingDon
    @AdventuresOfATravelingDon Год назад

    Some great tips about using the dumping station. The camp site seems rather nice. It is a bit open isn't it? I kind of like more secluded camping. The water views are very nice. I do appreciate that this camp site has quite the bundle of amenities. Also appreciate the clean bathrooms. I'm ready to go hiking along the water.

    • @TheAverageTourist
      @TheAverageTourist  Год назад

      I agree with you... too open for our preferences. It kind of reminded me of a regular trailer park or some US parks we've seen on RUclips with no privacy. Definitely lots of amenities there
