Appreciate all your work on these camping videos . Great to get the analysis of experienced campers and tips on good camp sites in each park. We live in Ontario, and tow a smaller trailer as you do, so much of your information is very useful.

This gorgeous park is indeed an ideal place for camping with so much to explore. What I noticed was the dumping station looks tidy and conveniently located for the campers. Also, the park has clean toilets and showers which for me are essential amenities when camping. I give two thumbs up to this informative presentation. Cheers!

This park looks like an amazing place to camp! The campsites seem great, and it's wonderful that there are so many activities and attractions within the same location. The trail looks particularly enticing. Thank you for sharing this information about the park.

Love this park! We used to go to this park when our children were small with our tent trailer and stayed in Bear. Fast forward 20 years and we now have a small trailer, similar to yours and will be revisiting this park in 2 weeks. Thanks for the review....gives us a better idea of what to expect since we are trailer newbies ourselves.

My husband and I used to go to Awenda with our friends when their kids were small. This park is for chilling. When we went to the bench it would be a day trip. Mostly did the trails and chilled on the site. Bikes are a must here.

Oh I love the seclusion of the sites and being surrounded by all those trees. Lol, I love that even pros like y'all still make rookie mistakes and call them out. Kind of like when I screwed my audio a while back. Mmm beer tasting. The bathrooms seem clean enough and the laundry facilities definitely help. Great views of the water. Seems like a lovely place.

We love this park. We must of been there the same time as you. It’s a must in the summer as the beaches are amazing. It was a little cool this time and with all the shade it made it cooler. We are with Telus and no reception in the park except at kettle lake and beach 4. A little interesting note beach 4 has also a nudist beach 😂

After watching the episode I wasn't surprised that you didn't have many dislikes. It seems like a great park. I would love the trail and beach options. It would be inconvenient to not be able to get weather updates due to the poor service, but it would be a perfect option for anyone wanting to really disconnect.

The non-walkable is crucial for my family, as we are in a motorhome, no extra vehicle. We’ve done some really long walks in the past to get places, but wonderful videos like this make me wiser! Thanks for your info. Recommend a park with a quality beach in walking distance?

We agree...the park is very peaceful. We don't go there for beaches or paddling ( which we really enjoy) but for the hiking. We go there either May 2-4 or Thanksgiving when the park is less busy but we have gone there for a day trip just to go and hike. Pro tip- cell service is not bad at the garbage dump area.

Might be a bit of a struggle. You could drop it off close to the launch area, but there's still stairs and/or a ramp you will need to go down. Even with 2 people it might still be difficult, but we saw others trying.

We were there July 2023 and found the park beautiful and we had a very nice site, HOWEVER we have Telus and had zero internet or phone, a real pain because we were trying to organize a meeting with friends and had to leave the park to phone them. We also found a couple of Rangers rather militant in particular one young Ranger who was hiding in the bushes ready to pounce on people for the slightest noise. He was warning people for things like regular volume conversation. Yeah he was power hungry.
So for us improve the internet and get rid of the little commando Ranger and it will be fine.

What are canoe rentals like? Where do you pick ‘em up an approximate price/time?

    • @TheAverageTourist

Can only be rented in half day time slots in July and August to use in Kettle lake. Didn't see the pricing and I believe pick up is at Kettle Lake. They weren't out yet when we were there.
