Severe weather made its way through Northeast Ohio on Thursday evening (June 15th), leaving plenty of damage in its path.
The Ohio Turnpike has issued a travel advisory as a portion of the westbound Turnpike is closed due to downed power lines at mile post 94.
"Westbound travelers can exit at Toll Plaza 110 (Sandusky-Bellevue) or Toll Plaza 118 (Sandsuky-Norwalk)," according to the Turnpike's site.
OUTAGES: Thousands without power in Northeast Ohio as severe weather moves through
There were several tornado warnings issued throughout Northern Ohio on Thursday night. In Lucas County, our TEGNA sister station WTOL noted that tornado damage occurred in Point Place and surrounding areas.
