Fenrichs first combo had a lot of very subtle difficulty: little things like omitting the third hit for proration, microdashes, delays, et cetera. It shows a lot of thorough game knowledge

After this I tried to see how many I could do with cell in succession. I ended up with 4 with sparking. Makes me wonder the abdolute max you could do with cell just perfect attacks in succession

If you see Fenrich playing, mostly in Blazblue, he rarely mashes loudly. It’s fitting of his character choice, which is Jin. In facecam scenes you can barely see any emotion from him but he’s kicking ass at the same time. It’s no wonder how gentle he handles his arcade stick. He puts no unnecessary force to execute moves.

Awesome combo contest, but I think the commentators weren't being judges.

The combos were lit, but I think bias got in the way too much. For example, the last combo wasn't anything special, except for the Kamehameha Bardock assist, and summoning shenron. And shenron didn't matter since the combo could be done without shenron. Also, they didn't take failed attempts into account except with Cloud805. I think they should have been more strict to make it more of a contest. Cuz of their judging, it felt more like an exhibition

The last combo was actually kinda... mediocre. Fairly standard optimal bnb routes + Shenron was actually completely unnecessary and didn't actually add anything to the combo besides a bit of style. Would've been alot more interesting if he actually like sparked twice in the combo or something. The impressive part was the kamehameha assist link and probably the Triple bardock lvl1 (incredibly well known tech though)
Also they are acting like Sparkless ToDs are super impressive/practical or something when using a full team of 3 (One of the commentators mentioned that it's applicable to a real match or something cuz they had extra resources to spare and can be done whenever you have 7 bars). It's far more likely to land a good starter and spark confirm than to have 6-7 bars of meter and do a sparkless combo (which also probably requires a 5M/2M starter anyway). How likely is it to have nearly full meter when your full team is alive? I've even got a very standard sparkless ToD with trunks on a YT video, you just need a good starter to easily accomplish the first 4kish dmg with a highdmg character and squeeze the last 2kish dmg (pre-supers) from good assists and a bit of tweaking
Criticisms/Ranting aside LK's gohan combo really should've sealed the deal lol
They "took failed attempts into account" on that Cloud combo beacause he was already out. They just wanted to see his second combo.

this was amazing to watch, but damn, the judging was extremely flawed. they were extremely biased, and they didn't respect the insane difficulty of some of the combos, just because the other combo looked cooler. this is for money after all, so it was really unfortunate to see that happen. cloud was definitely onto something when he asked why commentators are judging

Originality is more important than difficulty IMO. Fenrich didn't have the hardest combo but he definitely had the most creative ones.
Difficulty wasn't the only criteria. They made this clear as they judged so I dont see what the problem is.

As hard as that first Teen Gohan combo was it took waaay too many attempts...saw too much of the combo by the time he got it. Looking at this like I do dunk contest and the wow factor was lost after about the 4th restart.

you can’t judge off of how long someone takes why give them 2 minutes to complete it if you take points off for taking long.

5:20 I see you, Vayseth. Lol. That aside, this was a cool concept, but definitely something we should try to hold off on if all we have to judge this is commentators. I just don't feel like they're able to judge as fairly, tbh. Just my thoughts.

I need to go up there because My friend and I found on of the stupidest, most unusable, most absurd combos you could possibly do. It doesn't even need an assist, or sparking, and it is a TOD combo. I want to talk about it, or make a video on it, but I want us to keep it to ourselves because we are the only ones who know this combo because we literally cannot find it anywhere, and we found it together. A funny thing is though, that you can tech out of the combo, but if you do, you will take more damage than if you let it happen because the tech resets combo scaling.

@@mimiarip1848 It is too late. It got patched out. Hit's level 1 in the air used to knock people up, so on the ground you could do a basic combo or L-M-DH then follow up with a Super Dash then L-M-DH double Jump L-M-DH Level 1, then after mash the fuck out of the midair light auto combo since it will correct your direction, forcing you toward the opponent and automatically correcting your height if you hit them and after the second hit when you land the midair reset you can chain another level 1, doing it until you run out of meter or the opponent dies. You could also do L-M-DH Super Dash L-M Spark, then when you hit the ground reset by doing L-M-DH then dash then do L-M-DH double jump L-M-DH Level 1, then so on and so forth. If you are in sparking and the opponent teched, you can vanish without attacking to try for L-M-DH then do more level 1's, and since they teched, the scaling resets, doing more damage if they failed to block the next wave, but if they tech down, it is next to impossible to reset the combo. Me and my friend Seth found this, and it was amazing, but the next patch rolled out, and Hit's midair level 1 throws people straight down instead of bouncing them up so the combo is obsolete. I never got around to saying earlier because I forgot about this comment.
