GO1 didn't get hit for almost a minute and a half in that last game. No crossups, no command grabs, no dragon rushes, no vanishes. Absolutely unreal defense.
Trace Palmatier I could do that sometimes but I can’t go that long with blocking everything, probably because the online servers lol I can block all the things mentioned above for probably 30 seconds at most. Not an every match thing.
@Jonathan McMahon There are so many moments Go1 could've done the exact same thing in previous games. The man's known for 40+ second block chains. Of course he could've reflected at some point. Even in this game, you can see a few moments where he could've reflected into a solid punish too, especially towards the end. Just because someone missed a chance to reflect, that doesn't mean much. To be able to hold some solid block chains like the both of them in this game especially towards the end, that's great. It also comes down to reading your opponent's patterns, so sacking a few chances to reflect for better odds of success later is also a thing.
Leffen made use of some sneaky new tech at least three times in the final match. He does Cell’s normal blockstring pressure into a perfect attack and calls Android 21’s assist then crosses up. 21 actually has really low blockstun which if used after the first hit overrides the normally high blockstun of perfect attack and creates a tiny gap, in effect he removes the games normal blockstun crossup protection. Shows just how far Leffen was digging to find a way to open up GO1.

The Last Round was an anxiety attack
I love GO1 so much, casually chuging Japanese candies before each set
can't believe I didn't see this set before but not only getting Shenron in an actual tourney but just grabbing a second Spark from it when you're ALREADY IN THE MIDDLE OF A LEVEL 3 SPARK is an insane power move.
15:07 , Idk if it was just me but damn that was satisfying
2019 and this is still godlike
2021 and it's still godlike
THIS set was GODLike. And the announcers, FANTASTIC job!
This video is great but the reason I love it is because of the commentators, they make it 10x more enjoyable to watch. No one could of done it better imo. Please be paired up more frequently 🙌
that was legit ultra instinct, best thing ive ever witnessed from a video game
