Travelling Melbourne to Thailand and back to Melbourne every 4 weeks since 2009. I have certainly seen the decline in Thai Business Class since the pandemic, which maybe a direct result of Thai Airlines bottom line and the issues they have had there and still do. But unfortunately, things have changed food wise and service wise, but the staff are fantastic as always. Prior to 2020 in business class, you used to get a card with free limit internet, but now there is nothing you have to pay. Where as most Airlines its free in business either automatically or by joining there frequent flyer programs. With Qantas Domestic even being free to all. I often now feel the Singapore Airline connecting flight offers more, if you cant handle the stop over and sometimes it works out cheaper. So now I play between the two airlines depending on how quickly I need to get to my destination.
A rice porridge was supposed to add that clear soup in it. They have to separate it from the kitchen in order to get the best of it. The flight attendant didn’t inform you about it so you had it dry 😅 On the other note, they use the wrong soup container I can’t imagine how would be inconvenient to pour it Thank you for the review 😊
Flew Thai business for the first time last year. Was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of their service. Quick question in relation to your fare, any reason it was that price -was it due you think to the ‘last minute’ purchase, or was it some special offer?
Good question... I was sitting in the Royal Silk lounge thinking I had plenty of time to catch my flight to London (after arriving from Australia)... I was waiting for the flight to appear on the screens within the lounge, but thought with 20minutes until boarding (and nothing appearing on the screens) I decided to head to the gate.. Just as well I did as the screens outside showed the flight as boarding "soon". This involved another high speed train and a 15-20 minute journey - worried I was going to miss the flight. The airport is huge and I'd allow plenty of time to get to your gate... As a comparison, Dubai seems better connected. Notwithstanding, also consider that when arriving from Australia into Bangkok you need to pass through security (transit passengers) - this was very inefficient - 4 queues converging into one... It reminded me of Jakarta or Denpasar - a lack of guidance by the airport staff.
Thanks for the video! Is the royal silk class worth the extra 1000 euro? Economy is almost 1000 euro cheaper. But i really dont like the small seating =). Im going to thailand from sweden in april and i havnt yet decided if I should travel economy or business :(
I'm guessing this is roughly a 10 hour flight... If it was a night flight, 1000 euro its possibly not worth it ; unless you are prepared to pay for this comfort to sleep. If it was 17 hours of flying from Australia to London via Bangkok as I did, I'd say yes :) Hope this helps, and thank you for watching!
Mm your not supposed put your toliet paper down most places in South East Asia as their sewage systems cant handle it. So not Cheap just away of life there in Thailand and with people from all over the world using the lounge. The sign is a precaution to prevent blockages to ensure you have a toliet to use. As I have been there when only 2 toliets were working due to being blocked.
Odd? It's like that in the entire country. Most toilets in resorts and stuff are good enough to get it flushed but that doesn't mean you should. I would say you are odd dude
You are meant to wash yourself with the hose provided, then dry off with toilet paper. Then put the damp, but clean , paper in the bin. Not put shitty paper in the bin.
Oh that food looked really good! I love it when they use proper glasses for the wine😊👍 Thank you for the review!
Thanks for your kind comments - agreed the food was amazing!
Hush you
Love Thai Business their service is excellent indeed!!
Totally agree! I'll be travelling with Thai again!
Superb video as always mate.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for your feedback - very interesting to compare historically.

That explains it - thank you :)
Oh I wanted to hear your review of the bed and space in your seat area. Food looked amazing except I can't eat any seafood :(
1:56 not so surprise to see Thai Monk also flew biz.
TG might have upgraded him for free. I have never seen a monk in coach.

That’s all I can think of - last minute and they were trying to fill capacity
How was the transit in Bangkok? We are looking at similar flights but seems tight

So enjoyed your video Adam...pls post much more!
How much was the flight?
I’m inflight at the moment but I believe roughly $3800 AUD from Perth to London Heathrow
@adamcampbell-food-travel thanks. Safe journey
👏🏻👍🏻😊
Lol, there's a monk in business class? I thought they weren't supposed to have these things. 1:57 mark
Finally australian
Couldn't watch it all with that audio, like WTF? Looked like decent video though just by what I saw scrolling through.
Odd fact. The Thai lounge at BKK is excellent, but there is is a sign in the toilets "Don't put toilet paper down the toilet". Cheap.
