This method works with a lot of the Dell Insp 15 Models, esepcially the 5000 series. Which series did you have that worked with it? Just let us know down below
Ran into this on an E5570 - only to find out that Dell made the fool decision of embedding the power button on the main motherboard on this generation. Requires an entire motherboard replacement.
Thank you very much 😊 watching this video I replaced my Dell 5558 laptop power button. It's working fine now.. Thank you once again! You saved my 2k bucks! 👍🏼
Hi, Good video. I have this problem, but I am not tech enough to try this fix myself. What do you think is a reasonable fee for a shop to do this fix? Thanks!
hello bro thanks for your content i have question : I have dell Inspiron 7610 and power button is working only if I removed battery but when keep battery it doens work have any idea??? thanks
Thank you so much for confirming my suspition that the Dell laptop power button can go bad. I have a Precision 7710 that stopped turning on, I have exhausted all the tricks of "reseting" only to no avail. I am ready to try a new power power to save my laptop. I have found that instead of buying a new button, getting a new palmrest could be a better way to go becasue a lot times the power button is integrated on the palmrest, and a new palmrest does not cost a lot more than just a button.
If it doesn't give that "tactile" feedback, then there is an issue with the button and/or board that houses it. The precision usually has a separate connection from the main board for most models
