Thank you for this video i have watched many and this is the way i want to get into my mk3 i was super confused by all the different ways of using it. I love that you can use patterns to make the music come out as a performance! Love that i don't have to look at ableton as much and just flow music through the pad
So cool that the Launchpad Pro can do probabilistic sequencing, i didn't know until this video. Now I kinda want one. Seriously hoping that Ableton is taking notes for Push 2 updates.
I love my LPPMK3 - quickest way to slap down banging ideas that I've ever come across. Pads are pretty tight too! Been using it with the Roland Legendary Synths and Drums - ridiculous
9:26 is a perfect example what you should look into novation. Mute status should be always visible. I'm considering transitioning to live hardware sequencer and LPPro looks the best contender, but stuff like this is what cools me down atm. Better to stick to pc live setup. At least its been tried and tested.
@@pk3776 Of course. I'd even put some sort of activity indicator, that would help with identifying what's playing what. I cannot count times I've randomly had to mute/unmute/tweak filter/volume adjust just to know what track I control, on many different systems (push, mmt8, nanokontrol, bcr2000). Colors do help, but only so much. You should beta test this stuff as game designers do - basically trying to actively break it, trying to make it freeze and test it within live context. In fact, live context is what launchpad did in the first place in 00's , so keep at it and improve upon it into this new hardware domain
First of all, Enrique seriously has to be my favorite gear demo person. I do have a question, though. will the SL Mk3 series get a firmware update that allows for the probability and mutation features the LPP3 has? I pretty much had my mind set on the SL Mk3 until the LPP3 came out. For the most part, I prefer having all of the hands-on control knobs and the templates, BUT the probability and mutation options on the LPP3 are quite the gamechanger, it seems. I love having creative tools that can inspire like that. Regardless, cheers to Novation for being a company that actually supports and updates products for years after release. My Circuit and BS2 constantly inspire me.
With all the new tools at our creative hands, it’s real easy to come up with ideas, but song sequencing and keeping things moving forward and interesting, I find rather difficult. I’m actually resorting to studying song structure and sequencing. Just cataloging in my mind the different mechanisms and techniques different artists and producers use.
Hello, i have a question. 🙂 I have Novation Launchpad pro mk3 and i need help. I’m use sequencer in drum mode and make whole beat with multiple samples there. In that case i have few samples at one step (example kick and snare). My question is can i use probabilty option on that step only on snare, or probabilty option only work on that step with all of elements on it? Tnx!
For steps with multiple notes, the probability applied to a step is independent for each note/sample and will affect all notes applied to the step. That is, if a step has 2 notes with a probability of 50% assigned to the step, there is a 50% chance for each note to trigger. This means sometimes only one note may play, sometimes both notes will trigger, and other times neither note will trigger - their probabilities to play are exclusive.
Yes, absolutely. Custom Control Change and Program Change assignments are possible. Check out the Custom Mode creation tool available at Components for more: components.novationmusic.com/launchpad-pro-mk3/custom-modes/new
Hi, can you show how to connect the pad to the other hardwares? When I connect 2 synth, they both play when I control it. I want to be able to isolate the sounds.

man just came across your video..... thanks House MUSIC for LIFE just started playing around with a launchpad I've had for a minute
your music theory makes sense
Such great hints about composition in this video, thanks!

mic indir , they could make the muted channel led flash when not in mute mode to indicate the muted channel. Future update request.

could you guys do another one like this please?

I get cold rainy every day, I’d gladly trade weathers with you

Well Done! as Usual ! Is it possible in Standalone to control and send Program changes and Control Changes on Hardware devices? Thanx

👍
sequencer works like circuit, right? 8x32 step

@@NovationTV no worries. I figured it out. It works :)
because i am having a hard time in making the beats on ableton or just the launchpad.
subtítulos en español para todos los videos :)
Hey Enrique, please put your face in the thumbnail the next time, almost skipped the video!
yeah push ideas
