I enjoyed watching this with a nice cup of thyme tea and my LaunchPad Mini MK3 and my LaunchKey MK3 securely stowed away on the shelf, because sound engineering turned out to be too tech-y for my creative process. :) Now I play Bach on the classical guitar and watch Novation videos enviously :D But the product is awesome. I'll always fondly remember seeing this alien piece of technology on some DJ's table on an outdoor psytrance rave while - and pardon my french here - tripping balls. It was a sight to behold and when you finally understand that labyrinthe of cables and blinking buttons on your desk, you can actually make some pretty darn chill music. Started out with some trap beats and eventually using it to loop and queue my guitar recordings. As I'm writing this, I realize that I should give it another shot.. Build up the old rig once more and ruin the neighbors afternoon nap.
Thanks for your kind words! There’s so much more under the surface with Launchpad. It’s a really versatile tool-not just for beats, but for live looping, triggering your guitar recordings, or building ambient layers. Revisiting it could open up a whole new creative avenue for you. You might find a way to integrate it into your process without the tech overload. Definitely worth dusting it off and seeing where it takes you this time! We're here if you have any questions 👍
I forgot a simple suggestion for current Launchpads: it would be great to be able to change the CC slider range. For example 0-63 instead of the default 0-127 🙌❤
Thanks for your support! We appreciate your feedback on this. If we were to create something like this in the future, are there any particular sequencer features that you'd like to see?
@@NovationTV Maybe 12 patterns per track since there is some place in the pattern view, a way to have more that 32 steps, being able to edit a pattern while another one is playing, quickly mute a note, and 8 tracks if possible! 🔥 keep the mutation and chance features they are awesome 👏😍
Here, we’re using Ableton Live, but Launchpad Pro Custom Modes can transmit MIDI for use in any DAW. Custom Modes are also accessible when using Launchpad in standalone mode with external hardware.
Unfortunately, to use components, you will need to download the standalone program on Mac or Windows or work in a MIDI-compatible DAW such as Chrome or Opera. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We're focusing on customised Ableton Live control here, but we've previously created videos explaining how to create visual performances using Launchpad, like this one: - intro.novationmusic.com/learn/launchpad/lightshow/index.html

Great! But I would love to see new Launchpad with MPE slides or one expression strip :) and what about a better 8 tracks sequencer?

Interesting ideas. Thank you for taking the time to share these suggestions with us 👍
Hope Novation can open this synergy also to Logic pro 💪🎹
