We just uploaded a complete guide to building your own custom modes & controlling external hardware on the New Launchpad Pro Mk3! Check it out here: ➡️ ruclips.net/video/E-2EBbqidVc/видео.html ⬅️
This is a great video! What I loved most about it, the host was a logic user. Every feature especially in chord mode that the Novation rep brought out, generally made him find the Launchpad more and more useful. And all the time learning piano, not so much
Nice video, thanks! I loving my LPP mk3 but: I turns out the three cool features I bought it for dont really work together! Note mode, chord mode and sequencer. You cannot enter notes on the sequencer with the notes (with semitone offset between rows) or chord mode which was really surprising to me. I still like it a lot but I really hope this gets updated at some point.
Abstract is a very good way to put it. I got alot of happy laughs working with my new circuit the past couple days. Mininova comes FedEx today. So excited.
@@valley_robot As do I. The circuit was the one piece of gear I'll never willingly sell. It's just too good with the nova synths and the immediacy of the sequencer. Now I've got the LPP mk3 and I have 2 pieces of gear I won't willingly part with. The Monologue is a close 3rd. If I could pick just one synth to go with the Circuit, it'd be the Monologue.
I spent a month trying to get a drum rack to work on the sequencer only four of the sixteen pads would trigger the sound in the sequencer yet in note mode the same sixteen worked a drum pad perfectly think i got a dud one as two firmware updates failed to fix it have to wait for another see if this one works found it fun with the Control XL
Does this particular launchpad only work with Ableton? From what I’ve read thats sort of what it seams like. Also not familiar with the sequencer, but can you store full tracks within this when performing standalone?
Like the channel!! Compliments! Nice HW tool but not for dawless studios imo....4 channels is just not (good) enough. Chord mode?...nothing new... I'm a big fan of my squarp pyramid sequencer (but it's more expensive...) and I love the Novation SL MK3, which also is a great midi controller (and has keys and 8 channels) But it all depends on what your preferred workflow is of course.
@@henrikandersen4777 first of all, this is all MY personal preference, I'm not telling it's good or bad... MK3: - no keys - only 4 track sequencer + 32 step sequencer - no screen + less expensive SL49/61: + keys + 8 track sequencer - only 16 steps sequencer + screen - expensive In my opinion one of the most versatile hardware sequencers (no PC required but possible) still is the Squarp Pyramid!!
Not sure if I'd like this reincarnation of the Launchpad. I used to like this as a general MIDI-controller however it's too focused on Ableton so they'd do better and call it the Ableton-Live controller. Also from this angle, all lights are pastel and different colours are very hard to distinguish. So, not really a pro-feature.
8:57 - Misinformation? The guy seems to imply Print Clip works in Logic. That’s not true is it? Poor communication imo. Hope it becomes possible later though, I’ve just bought one. Novation are ace, love my BS 2. So good with the firmware upgrades unlike certain others *cough* pioneer
Lauchpad Explainers never show cogent composed musical compositions. Yack, yack, yack. It's hard enough to navigate in real life. Explaining it in this video? FAIL!!!
While this might be a good device the shear amount of *lack of discrimination* and *childish over-the-top enthusiasm* is hardly bearable and I think even embarrassing for the Novation guy.
@@Claidheambmor Why would they have to? Everyone can choose their audience or target group. They could decide to sell to people with at least a few brain cells and a tad of taste.

I bought this and it has given me so many ideas and made my creative workflow a lot more fun. Thank you Novation!

Damn, those are the main features of this controller. Since you posted have there been updates or workarounds?
@@josepha891 As far as I know, no updates regarding the issues I described.
Having just pick up a Circuit, this UI seems extremely familiar. I dig it.
Just picked up a circuit a few days ago. Love it

mininova and circuit , pretty good combo mate , i have the same

very informative ...ive watched this twice now.. ive learnt a lot and Im ready to buy one
Nice video as usual! Jack is the man! I was hoping to see the Peak as well.
Might be.. But I am pretty much sure the section Sequencer could be also switchable melodic arps and beat tricks like beat repeat.
Sneaky, getting me to click by putting Hounds Of Love, the greatest album ever, in the thumbnail! 😆
Oh eh oh oh oh. The hounds of love are calling...
I love my Mk3!!! Just picked up the Korg Wavestate and I'm having fun with them. Still alot to learn
Apart from price, is there any reason to pick this over the Push 2?
22Wook standalone
Unifono2012 Good point, but pretty limited with just the 4 channels I would have thought.
$300 vs $1000
I'll keep my push 2 but at this price point you ll get a lot of interesting stuff on the lp3

There’s pretty great support for Bitwig too
I need one now... hahahah
running up that hill
Nice Tool! But why you just put 4Sequencer Cannels in it, instead of 8?
Yeah i came here to ask the same

what do you get/miss this vs the 61SL

Was the overhead out of focus or is it just a rubbish quality camera?

any time a company releases this many versions of its hardware year after year, I don't buy it.

Definitely channeling the inner child here... It is embarrassing. But they have to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
