Philip Bailey is an human instrument. This band is hands down one of the all time greatest. Hit after timeless hit.
I got to see these guys in concert 25 years ago for my 25th birthday. LOL. Most AWESOMEST concert ever. Ended standing a few feet away from my nephews grandparents. Hilarious. They were jamming out more than me.
Wow what a tune earth wind and fire are the best group ever
My first concert, Pine Knob, Clarkston, MI.
I concur 💯
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Yesssssssss FINALLY!! You just hit the jackpot!!! This is a classic that NEVER gets old!!!!
Truth!!😘😘👍👍
My favorite
Had the first slow-dance of my life off this song. Cynthia Parker at the Jr. High School dance. I was such a nerd, she practically had to ask me to dance, and even then, the song was halfway over......
YAS GURL ❗️Jackpot Gold❗️
Yep!
See...Earth Wind & Fire are like chips: you can’t eat just one. Their concerts were ON FIRE. This was the make-out, slow-dance song at all dances and parties! 🤣
I remember those days.
Such a good comparison, chips and ELF!!! LOL I love it!
@@jessicahanley5080 Earth, Lind & Fire?
@@ronj9933 lol oops. EWF. Heeeheee
Had the first slow-dance of my life off this song. Cynthia Parker at the Jr. High School dance. I was such a nerd, she practically had to ask me to dance.
After the Love is Gone, is one of my favorite songs.
YES!
The live version from this same concert!!
Yes! After the Love Is Gone!!
Yesssss! 💙
My fave too. Also liked...loved... "Sing A Song" and "Shining Star"
Philip Bailey is the guy who sang lead. His vocal range is incredible. He sounds like a tenor sax. Google says he has a four-octave range in addition to the falsetto. He did a song with Phil Collins, called "Easy Lover." You two might like that. 👍🏽😁
It was the 70’s baby. ✌🏽❤️
Hell Yes Anji!
At that time, my big brother was introducing me to the incomparable, EWF via his spanking new 8 track and watching my reaction! 🤗
Diabetes’s took my Big Brother, Jimmy 😞 but, I still have fond memories of he enjoying my reaction’s to jams like these.
Now, I’m enjoying a new generation, react to this music and it’s still on Fire! EWF nailed their name.
EARTH 🌍 WIND 🌬 & FIRE 🔥
Best era for music❤
The best ever era of music.
Phillip Bailey’s voice is 🔥 🔥 🔥!!!
I feel like you guys are introducing a whole generation to a world of music they would have missed out on. Thank you!
I love it good point.
Good point!!!
Indeed, indeed they are. As an old head I LOVE IT!!!!!!! lol ♥
Absolutely 💯!!!
Exactly!!! So agree. 70-80-90 music was no other
This was my favorite song, I got threatened because of this song...My dad said if he come home one more day and here that song he would destroy my record player!!! HA
Oh he was tired of ya'll. Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do these guys know what a record player is?
🤣🤣😆😆
😂😂😂
Hahaha!! Yes, played it over and over. Still my GOAT!!
Boogie Wonderland. Shining Star! Keep going!
Guys guys, you just played Bowie 1975 Fame and now EWF, your making an old soul boy very happy and very old, I was only 15.. get your groove on guys.. love your respect you give to the classics, peace and love 🤟🙏
These young men are so special!
AB: I’m with you! 🥂
☝🏼🐵 BUT, you forgot Soul!
You wish the guys Peace, Love but you forgot Souuuul!
I know, you know, who said that, the incomparable, Don Cornelius at the close of a little Dance Show, called, Soul Train 🚂! Lol 😉❣️
@@d.sepulveda7669 stuck here in little old England in the mid 70s after being born in the states in 60... I got my funk where ever I could... lucky my dad had been retired form the USA airforce, and we still had access to states side good... hence my love of soul and funk ... and with Earth wind and Fire, it doesn't get more funky....got to see soul train but alot laters... so Peace, love and soul to you to my bro.
Ooooo, that was the cut right there!!!
🎶💙🎶
@@AB-zc8ps Lol 👌🏽😆 Ok .
I had the opportunity to visit London in 2018 and the soul music scene was on fire!💃
PS: I’m a Sister 🎀 Lol 🙊
Yassssss Twins the GREATEST BAND EVER in the land!!! This song is FIYAH !!!! There's nothing more pleasing to ears than Philip Bailey's falsetto.
Definitely agree!!!
Facts
@Mac Norman Love Frankie Beverly and Maze too but it's gotta be EWF, my friend. Now I've got to hear "Before I Let Go".🙂
Absolutely. They are true musicians through and through.
Best Live Band EVER..
The Elements, Earth, Wind and Fire 🌹
Phillip Bailey's voice is perfection.
That musical language he was singing is called Scating. It's when singers imitate an instrument. Most of the Greatest Jazz singers are proficient in it.
Yes!! I loved his slow, surreal, dreamlike scat. Such a talented man!
I'm so glad you explained scating. Young folks, really don't get the concept. Stokley of Mint Condition scats. Not quite like the all time great Rachelle Ferrell. 👍🏼
@@sharians-bluesky RF is da bomb. 💘 her & W Downing 2gether.
Ella Fitzgerald invented scat singing!
Ella!! She was the only woman my uncles ever played that was not a blues or gospel singer. Family BBQs, pops, chips and old men getting "groovy" to B.B., Al Green and Ella.
For my entire high school and college years, this was the MOST popular slow-dancing (slow-dragging) song. BTW, PLEASE listen to the album version. This video does not showcase the authentic original version. I have seen "in-person" and heard them play the original version in concert , many times, without any errors. It's unbelievable how high Phillip Bailey's voice can actually go. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 It is and always will be the classic and standard love ballad. Next, find their classic song, "Keep Your Head to the Sky." 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Slow dragging
Had the first slow-dance of my life off this song. Cynthia Parker at the Jr. High School dance. I was such a nerd, she practically had to ask me to dance.

TWV: YES! This version to me is like a teaser trailer for this song, the Album, is EWF, Gratitude. Full version of Reason’s, everything time I hear this song, it still and always will, make my heart ♥️ skip a beat! (And Everything) 😋
@@stitchinggoods774 "painfully" cute....
So glad you watched the live version of this!! And I just knew y’all we’re gonna lose your minds when Phillip Bailey hit them high notes! EWF #REALMUSIC
EWF are in a class by themselves, the goat for sure, but I still like the record version of this better!!
After the Love is Gone❤
Omg, ANOTHER awesome song!!
“Can’t hide love”
That's my favorite!! ❤🎵❤
P.S., I LOVE your butterfly icon. Beautiful colors!😘💖👍🦋
Bruh, it don’t get any better. The ultimate falsetto
I like the falsetto of the Stylistics too.

Hell Yeah❗️
Phillip Bailey is on Fire!
I’m 57 years old and I heard this for the first time in the 70’s, my brother EWF greatest hits on
8-track Lol 😬. OMG, this song blew me away and that falsetto, is heaven on earth.
This song, is in my top 10 of best songs ever, I LOVE it.
Listen to Reasons on the Gratitude album it is the best and a long version. “He sing’s so beautiful don’t you agree?
Well, the BeeGees were pretty good at it too.
Certified Bangers from Earth, Wind & Fire: September, Fantasy, Boogie Wonderland, Let's Groove. SO many classic hits!!
Y’all ain’t never heard Reasons???? Oh boy you’re in for the treat of a lifetime 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Listen to Can't Hide Love, Devotion, After the Love Is Gone, Love's Holiday. The list goes on and on.
Fantasy and Be Ever Wonderful are other worldly
A lot of younger people dismiss my generation's music without even listening. There was some amazing music back then. I applaud you guys for not only giving this music a listen but appreciating and liking it. Great music is timeless.
That’s Philip Bailey who you also loved singing with Phil Collins on Easy Lover! Awesome song pick!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Earth, Wind and Fire! The message in their songs, the lyrics, the singing, the musicians. Untouchable! Maurice White (on drums) was the mastermind behind the amazing band that is EWF. Philip Bailey sang the notes off of "Reasons". If you want to hear another song that shows Philip's range, check out "Keep Your Head to the Sky".
This was the 70's by far EWF best song so beautiful. This was the love song back in the day.. You have to listen to the studio version as well.
Thank you! Each “Live” versions of “Reasons” is a little different. Even the didn’t know what Phillip was going to do.
I prefer the original live recording of Reasons...
Whoo so many songs to choose from but I’m up on the dance floor with September 🎶
My face ❤
One of the best bands ever. Luv this song. Phillip Bailey was awesome.
My favorite group of all time. The more you dig into their discography, the more treasures you will find.
OMG... THEY'RE LISTENING TO THE LIVE VERSION!!!💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
THESE YOUNG GENTS ARE GETTING INTO THE VERY BEST OF THE BEST SUPERGROUPS. EWF SHAPED MY SOUNDSCAPE, NY LIFE!
THANKS TO MY ELDER BROTHERS
Philip Bailey will be 70 years old next month and can still hit those notes like a dang freight train!
Please do more Earth Wind & Fire!!!! Boogie Wonderland, That's the Way of the World, Serpentine Fire, Fantasy, and Can't Hide Love. So many to choose from their catalog.
Omg, love this song memories back in the day
This came out in the 1970's guys and was played at every prom and wedding for years. This is a true story. When I was in college I shared an off campus apartment with 4 other girls. There were 3 bedrooms, so one person had their own room and we gave it to the room mate that shall we say "liked to entertain". If she had a guest we would all be sound asleep and would not have known, except for the fact that she would blast "Reasons" every time on her stereo, we had vinyl back then, even at 3am, LOL!! Now that is all I can think of when I hear it, all these years later!
Looooooooooove Earth Wind & Fire!!
They are amazing, their voices and the range they can sings is AWESOME!
Another definition of the 70s!!! They remain TIMELESS treasures!!🤩😊
Alright Twinz come on wit it! You can never go wrong with the Elements. Old school is where it's at. Superb!
This is one of my favorites. Since y'all like that falsetto please check out "There'll Never Be" by Switch and "Love Me In A Special Way" by DeBarge
Omg I remember me and my sister singing into our hair brush. This is the two step song of all times. And slow dance grind song
So funny me too!
Lol @blxgirl1959! Telling all our secrets! 😂😂😂❤
I was not quite 10 yrs old when this came out. My mother did the same. We 2 stepped to this song and boogied to the others 😁🤩
I'm glad you chose this. Timeless.
One of my all time favorite songs and bands. ❤️
A song about a "ONE NIGHT STAND";
and EVERYBODY had it as their wedding dance song!!🤣🤣🤣 Love this group, saw them 3 times in concert!💓💓💓
The house parties back in the day, would have everyone slow dancing with somebody on this song!
“The Secret Garden” is a must hear. Quincy/Barry White/Al B Sure/James Ingram/El Debarge.....pure bliss ❤️
Philip Bailey showed his great showmanship and talent in this live performance, but you guys should most definitely listen to the original studio recording of this song when you get the chance. TRUST ME!
Hi Twins! Please react to more Hall & Oats. "Kiss is on my list" "Out of touch" & "Say it isn't so." Trust me, they never disappoint!👍😍
A whole new generation was created to this song in the 70's.
Good Night Everyone
God Bless us All 😇😇🙌🙌
Twins keep up the good job
Phillip Bailey, was singing that one, and Maurice White is the other one. They back in the day where to two that did most of the leads and check out Serpentine Fire, or listen to Heatwaves "Always and Forever" . FYI Phillip did a duet with Phil Collins "Easy Lover"; if you want to listen to it
I saw them in concert once, and it was just like this. Great memories.
Philip Bailey is a legendary vocalist! You reacted to him and Phil C doing Easy Lover 🙌🏻
Another great song is "that's the way of the world"
There are so many classic jams they have, but you nailed my favorite That’s the way of the world, plant your flowers and they grow❤️
"Like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich" 🤣❤️
One of my all time favorite songs from my all time favorite band 🥰
Arguably the greatest song about a one night stand ever.
Don't forget "Stranger" by LTD feat Jeffery Osborne.
"Can't Hide Love" and "Love's Holiday" are EW&F classics! I love, love, love chillin' to their music 🎶🎵😌❤. Thanks Twins! 😊
Philip Bailey used to drive women crazy w/his falsetto! Their songs were everything!
LOVE THEM!!!❤Earth Wind &Fire is one of my favorite R&B groups! So many hits.
My favorite band ever. Phillip Bailey is the "Reason" why I even discovered this band and after discovered so many more great songs and along with the genius Mr. Maurice White. "Can't have peanut butter without the jelly"
And it makes me feel happy, to see you two saying so many nice things about Earth wind and fire. 🙏🏼🌻
We just lost one of the greatest rappers that ever lived, DMX. Will you react to Lose My Mind?
Agree said old white woman
Two more Earth, Wind & Fire songs that you've gotta hear are "Shining Star" and "Fantasy".
One of baddest band of all times every song had a powerful message along with Phillip Bailey sweet voice musical magic.
He singing that live. Such talent.
YES!!! ONE SMOOTH GROUP!! CAN NOT!! BE DUPLICATED.
Loved them from day ONE!! 🥰
He is scatting, a jazz vocal technique.
Another great hit by Earth, Wind, and Fire! I love this song and Phillip Bailey’s falsetto is everything! This song was released in 1975 and many bands dresses similarly at that time!!🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️
Love these dudes they are so real....
You guys are introducing lots of us to new music as well. Never heard this song but love it thanks
Wearing my Twinsthenewtrend tshirt! Love it! Love this song!
Need to check out Earth Wind Fire "September" and "Boogie Nights"
Boogie Nights was by Heatwave. Boogie Wonderland is EWF
The Elements Earth Wind & Fire are straight outta Chicago, along with Minnie Riperton, Chaka Khan, & The Emotions, love all their music ❤️
omg i LOVED this song and just everything from Earth, Wind and Fire back in the 70’s. Phillip Bailey.🙏🏼❤️
They use to give one of the best concerts of their time.
EW&F are the Goats of R&B!
Just listen to their Gratitude album/cd/stream!
So many great songs!
Earth, Wind and Fire were something else! Saw them in concert...fantastic!
Earth, Wind, Fire...they are legends! Never get tired of listening to their songs
I remember when there was an unofficial battle with their horn section, James Brown's and those Cameo horns. I challenge you Twins to tell US who U felt was best!
You should check out “Always and Forever” by Heatwave. Another classic!!
When you learn Earth Wind and Fire you have just crossed over to what music really is about! Music just wouldn't be music without this group right here and I'm glad I had the opportunity to see them perform in person! 💯👊🏾✊🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🌍🌬🔥
Earth Wind and Fire, phenomenal. Un surpassed talent. Saw them in concert with Chicago, it was the best concert I've ever been too. Both phenomenal, excellent. Two fantastic bands.
EW&F are definitely fire! Mikki Howard did a nice version of reasons too. You guys should check out some of her music. She can saaaang! "Baby be Mine, and "Come Share My Love are two of my favorites by her.
Yassss sang it Phillip. You guys need to hear September this is my theme song because I was born on the 21st day of September so to have a song that actually says my birthday is amazing. Thanks for sharing
One of my favorite oldies!! Oh man, the memories that come with this song when I hear it....
I will never get tired of seeing this performance. The first time I saw this, I was 12 years old. Live on HBO. Man Philip's vocal range is amazing! Outstanding! Wow 😳
'That's The Way Of The World' should be your next port of call
yes, thats exactly what i wanted them to hear
My favorite song of all time
Awesome!!! Check out "Stand" by Sly and the Family Stone!
My favorite Earth, Wind and Fire song.
Yes Fellas! Nothing like the elements! Earth, Wind and Fire will always be this special. Thanks for checking it out!
I saw your review on Easy Lover by Phil Collins and was waiting till you ‘discovered’ the other singer with him in that song...Phillipp Bailey ( of Earth Wind & Fire) 👍🏽
Now check out Children of the Ghetto by Phillipp Bailey. 💯
I grew up in the 70's, I had orange velvet pants and red velvet pants and I was considered pretty tame. Maybe you guys could do a 70s themed reaction, and dress up like we did, complete with a disco ball in the background... I am still hoping for my Fleetwood Mac Attack, Landslide, Dreams, Rhiannon, Go your own way, you guys did "The Chain" , it has almost 800,000 views......hint hint hint!!! Also the Rumours Album from Fleetwood Mac is number 27 right now on Billboard Hot 200 Album, and that album was released in the late 70s!! So, as Fred would say, ' we got no choice" we had to come back to Fleetwood Mac"
Great idea!!!
That would be cool; but as the twins would say that's cold
Phillips Bailey has one of the best voices! He is still with them. One of the best bands ever!
Remembering this song..."Reasons" as the official slow song at our school dances
I thought that y’all reacted to Boogie Wonderland a while back, but I can’t find it. You can’t lose by listening to EWF. Shining Star, That’s the Way of the World, Let’s Groove Tonight are also great songs.
They reacted to September
They were 70s - “disco” era but way better than most other options
Actually they came prior to disco.
@@karendrives970 Yes. They were more funk and r'n'b.
They were no Disco!
@@karendrives970 Oh. Sorry. Their first album was released in 1971. Disco era began in 1973. Boogie Wonderland (1979) was in the Billboard top 20 disco songs of all time. But I hope it gave you great personal satisfaction to try and correct someone else’s comment just for the heck of it. I went to many of their concerts and danced to their songs in discos in NYC, so sorry if I felt okay commenting. Sorry I was off by two years. They were about love and positivity and everybody having a good time. Guess those days are over.
Earth, Wind, and Fire are Still touring and doing live concerts!
Of course, not all of the original members are still around but Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson (all original founding members) are still laying it down with spirit and soul. I'm seeing them next year!
What a fantastic voice. EW&F had so many great songs. Your merry laughter really makes it...Thank you!
Watch Earth Wind and Fire’s Verzuz with The Isley Brothers! Cant react to a 4 hour video though... or can you? 🤔
That was SOOOOO good! Love them both!!
@@shelbyrebman7758 I would really like to know how to rewatch it in its entirety. RUclips doesn’t look promising!
What a gift that was...I enjoyed all 4 hours....I still say EWF won but the Isley did not disappoint..LOVED them both....❤❤❤
