I LOVE that Odric. I just REALLY wish he was multicolor. Maybe sultai? Or WUBRG though that's kinda "lazy" in a sense. Mono-white is just a rough color for his strategy. I have him in my OG Atraxa +1/1 counter commander deck because she has flying, deathtouch, vigilance, and lifelink which is pretty good to share with all my other huge creatures lol
My man Odric is way better than you think! He wins games for me. In edh boros aggro or wherever you have dudes with keywords. He makes your attack go from "oh" to "ooOOooh DAAiimmnn you win". I'm these days there are so many creatures that comes with two or three relevant keywords. Easy!
Odric was the first card I ever built a deck around. I opened one copy of the card in my first 10 packs of magic, and then I bought the other three copies for my local game store. This point I didn't even know Commander existed, I was just playing with my friend who had some pre-built standard decks. For this card and Nahiri were my first build around cards.
10:55 now that white boarder cards are fashionable again, i bet the next hipster card craze is legendary cards w/o the legends crown. I say this because im a hipster and i like them haha
Vorosh was in the mimeoplasm precon back in 2011, which was the first MTG product I ever bought and the first deck I ever played. I have a fondness for it. You're right, it's bad.
7:00 goddamn, we really need a proper gameplay term for "keywords exclusive to creatures which are entirely self contained (no additional explanation or scaling)". Like I'm sure other keywords which fit into the same category as these will be made in the future at some point. Effects like this should be future proofed with a specific category.
Voyager Staff is neat, you can protect Sharuum as long as you have mana for it, better than regenerate. Odric was also one of my early game pieces - maybe disregarded for a while, but in the 99 he is devastating. Atraxa, Dihada and any other high-keyword Commander love this guy.
I adore Odric. I turned my nestmate's Shadows/Eldritch Moon standard humans deck into a (admittedly janky as hell) Modern deck focused around him. Only a handful of creatures in the deck don't have at least one keyword on them, and those are important ones like mana dorks and a potential huge, hard to block beater (Champion of Lamholt).
The Tempest pain lands are the worst dual lands. Salt Flats is a Caves of Koilos that enters tapped. THESE WERE PRINTED AT RARE. Second worst are probably the "slow lands" or "depletion lands", like Land Cap (ICE), Thalakos Lowlands (TMP), and Cloudcrest Lake (CHK). Third worst are the straight, untyped, "enters tapped" duals. Gates are fourth worst. Also, check out the Homelands tri-lands if you want to see more bad lands.

I'd say the duals that are functionaly the same as gates but don't have the gate type are still strictly worse than gates.

Vorosh is part of a combo in Scion of the Ur-Dragon. Those counters stay and can help one shot people.
