i love pokémon so much but it’s so frustrating how some pokémon are just favoured over others by the pokémon company… like why is charizard always better than blastoise and venusaur? make it make sense
True, some blastoise and venusaur art look fantastic, more than the charizard in those sets but people like the charizard cards more than them or the pikachus
Have you guys seen the cards that come back from being graded and the entire casing ruining the top or bottom part cause they close the card on the card 🥲
Ok it seems very scammy that they won’t send the card back unless you send them more money. I understand that it’s probably an insurance thing but damn. That’s shitty.
idk how Pokemon cards are printed so this may be wrong, but I collect Kpop pcs and the white specs in the corners are how we indicate that it's real, and it's just from the printing process where they're separated from the batch, so the white things in the corner could be that but idk don't quote me on this...
I feel like the grading process should be ready to charge for any grade of card a certain set would be worth from the get go. Once they have the card, asking for more money to get the card back just because it's worth more than planned feels a little scummy. They kinda are taking it hostage
@@lazyegglover exactly, it's not money that goes to the psa, it basically goes to the postage insurance so if anything happens to the package the cost is covered by insurance. Not a scam, it's a security measurement.
Not to be a buzzkill but there was a video about how inflated and bogus the rating and reselling for vintage video games was and I can't help but think it's like that for cards as well.
In this video they show that the value is at 5700 for a 10. Right now they are selling for around 3700. Still good, but inflated value and if bought at that time, then you would have lost 35% of an investment... L
am i the only one whos so frustrated that they cant touch up the little white corner with paint😂 i know that’s not how it works and that you could probably tell that it’s painted over but i’m like REALLY????
I know grading cards is a respected practice, but them keeping the 10 until jarvis gave them more money seems really sketchy, ngl. Idk how it went down exactly, i may be misunderatanding what jarvis said, but sheesh that seems like a trashy business model
Its not sketchy, they have to pay for a larger insurance coverage in case something happens to the package because the card is worth more money than they thought it would be. It is like having a higher insurance payment on a nicer car or house. The extra money doesnt go to the grading company it goes to pay insurance. Its a security thing
It depends on the value of the card, starts at $20 to $10,0000 lol. Thats why they recommend you send in cards if you know they're worth more than $100
what a fun little time we had
you and kurtis have GOT to play some stardew valley together. would honestly watch 2 hours of that shit

Jarvis' Dark Blastoire getting an 8 was top 10 saddest moments of all time
At least it wasn’t the Charizard that got an 8 lol
the differences in price from 9 to 10 are so huge and the differences in card quality is soo small
Seeing those prices hurt when you realize it cost them $150 to grade each card
What!?!
I was wondering where you can grade, never fucking mind!

Congrats on that dark Charizard!
EVERYONE IS POSTING OMG
Charging more for your services after you grade the card because the card is more valuable on the market is what we like to call a "scam" btw.
What if you just lightly painted over the corners or color-matched a sharpie
That would likely decrease the cost of it
The only reason people don't really mess with Beckett is because it's they are more strict so it's harder getting a 10

Why would they charge you more?
Kinda sounds like a scam that they wanted more cash when they found out Charizard was a 10.
