@@Jestr86 you didn't specify car engine. Anyway, the VFR V4 is another great sounding V4 engine. That's the only reason I mentioned it. I think it uses a different crank angle to this engine.
@@toothpik00 your absolutely right, i didn't. i dont like bikes and never really think about them so its like they dont exist.. but i do agree it does have a mean sound to it..
These should be in ultra compact mid engine cars like the mr2. It would confuse the crap out of people to hear what sounds like a v8 coming from one. I guess you could always ls4 swap a fiero.
Carb needs a tune up. Try putting the screw in so much that the engine starts to idle bad and then loosen the screw so much that the engine starts to run bad. The middle of these two points is the place you want the screw to be. So if it was 10 turns then just tighten it 5 turns. That way it's on the middle point.
Well that's an essex v4. The transmission is most likely the transmission from a ford capri? The Köln version has the clutch lever in the driver side instead of the passenger side and this one seems hydraulic so i guess it's from 70's or 80's The transmission looks like floor mount shifter. I'm taking a hard guess and saying that it's a ford capri E transmission. www.ford-capri.ch/technics/technical-data/gearbox.html The code is either 5 or B
so you think for 4 Speed ? im working on 2 v4's right now , but im looking for a good 4 or 5 speed transmission with a short gear leaver not that from a transit , that is a köln right?
From my knowledge, all the köln manual transmissions are 4 speed and the automatic is 3 speed. I have both column and floor shift transmissions and i'm currently using floor speed on my own. I don't have that good knowledge on essex v4's. But the köln one has the clutch linkages and transmission linkages on the driver side. (Left side) and the british transmissions have it on the passenger side (Right side) Why? Because british drive on the opposite lanes. What v4's are you working on jacob? Essex or köln? What body shell are you using?
The Funny thing is i got both , bought them of a buddy of mine 4 months back , when a saw this video i liked the lumpy sound , so 3 weeks back my engine from my Kadett b died , the timing chain ripped all the crankwheel teeth of , so i wanna build that , butt im looking for a good trans for that, PS both the engine's are custom build with higher compression heads and flowed and ported valve's
This sounds surprisingly good for such a small engine.
Well, like a Harley Davidson
its a V4
i thought the Subaru boxer 4 was the only great sounding 4 cylinder..
until i heard this V4 ! never knew of a V4.. Dang it sounds Beastly !
Ford V4 1,7 GT great sound 🤗
Look up Honda VFR800.
@@toothpik00 thats not a car engine..

Nice really sounds like two V-Twins

where is this motor at now ???
Lindo motor!!
Suena bien ..sólo falta carburarlo para q no se ahogue .
Kick....ass!
Anyone have a shop manual for this engine? It was used in some skid loaders , back on the day. And I own one.
I need one for a rat rod project.
Tune your carb
My thought exactly.

Ford M Garage do you know what transmission he is using?

Sound like Ducati 1129 V4
what trans do you use ?
Sounds better than 'merican v8
sounds like a Subaru but with more balls
Almost sounds like a flat 4
I'm sorry it sounds like my 98 rust bucket mustang for like $600 why would Ford give up something like this in a V4
Subaru sound
Can I have this engine 🙏
