These short videos are extremely helpful and easy to follow, could you make one showing the editing tools both in the cut and edit pages? I never seem to understand what the tools and their associated options in between the arrow and the blade are for?
Also keys for moving placing the play head would be great

Awesome sir! If you're going to be exporting in 1080... would it make sense to film in 4K so that when you crop you maintain quality resolution? If you crop 1080 footage then export in 1080 won't you have sub 1080 quality for those stabilized/cropped clips?

It's worth mentioning that if you believe you are going to need stablisation then, if you can, you should record your video in a higher resolution than the intended output so that you aren't trying to add more pixels on the zoom. It is good practise to do so anyway as it allows for fixing unexpected framing issues. Personally if I am recording for 1920 x 1080, I'll set my camera to 3840 x 2160, although I appreciate that not a lot of people can do this.

Great video on this - I have numerous amounts of unpublished bike and drone footage and will give this a try. I also want to upscale 1080P 60fps to 4K. Is it better to perform fixing of shaky footage first on 1080p content or fix the shakiness on upscaled 1080p to 4K ? Thanks!

The last couple of videos i have done i really struggle with the stabilization in Davinci... i have a Sony A6400 and when shooting in 4K and try to stabilize i get really wobly footage. It actually makes it worse like there is a really sea sick thing going on? Do you have any ide what the problem can be?

Just found this video today. Question- What is your recommendation for MULTIPLE clips or one long clip that has been chopped and edited? I will give an example. What I do on youtube is flight simulation videos... through VR. So while my outside the aircraft shots are usually steady, my in cockpit shots, where I am talking to people, are always moving because... well... VR headset moves as soon as I open my mouth. I typically record the entire flight, then chop up the video footage to insert my external shots. I have noticed if I add stabilization to the initial footage, it does not stick, when it does the final render, leaving all footage looking unstabilized. I tried adding it to each clip individually, and that appears to undo the stabilization of the previous clip worked on. Should I be selecting ALL at once, and stabilizing before rendering the final video, or am I missing a step somewhere?

    Hi Alex,
Can I suggest a video on cropping and panning 4k footage in a1080 timeline. I've found this easier in Vegas but you may find a better approach in dr16 than I have done.

Hey, Alex, thanks so much for sharing this tip but what do you do when your clip has lots of vertical lines or elements in it? The stabilize tool makes them look like tall grass waving in the wind. Any work around for this?
