Phil you can do anything. The coypus must go if they attack beloved Lightening. Those huge front teeth can do a lot of damage. Please be careful because you are very loved❤
I like that you addressed the hedge before birds began to nest. I also like that you are wanting the river rats off your property. Their underground tunnels can result in ground collapsing, which is actually their objective.
You are a Renaissance man, doing it all. I'm so happy to see you pulling yourself back into Life. Being an elderly women who lost her husband, I know moving forward sometimes takes Herculean effort. But so worth it.
Every time things get tough for me I remember my grandfather saying “if your not struggling ur slacking off Then I know I’m doing good.
How very nice that you could fix the cutter for yourself and your friend Billy. If you do not get rid of these river rats they will soon take over your Chateau. ❤️🙏
Love the work you do Phil on the château and in your workshop. Such a clever man seems you are able to fix anything. Keep up the good work, love seeing your Vlogs. Thank you. Enjoy the weekend. 👌🏻💝🇦🇺
Hang in there Phil, you can get by with a little help from your friends ❤❤❤❤❤
PS. Here in South Louisiana, US we have people who will come out and remove any creature you need gone, alligators, snakes, bees. The one thing that is the hardest to remove are those things you have in the moat.
I haven't heard Mizzling in for ever. Our family use that expression, we are from Cornwall🏴☠️
I grew up in St.Ives in Cornwall!
I know you didn't ask but to help with the green stuff you need some more oxygenating plants. Parrot Feather, water lettuce, possibly water hyacinth. Things that have roots that dangle in the water will help eat up the other nutrients.
Try watercress! It’s a small leafy , eatable like lettuce but people dunk it in green ponds yo clear up!
The animals swimming in the water will eat any plants before they have time to help. They need to be removed before they cause serious damage to the base of the Chateau.
Hang in there Phil❤...
You can do it..
.take care and have a great day!
Terrific you got the trees cut back before the rain and the mower fixed.
Glad you could fix the mower, you are going to need it soon. I think you may need to get the hunters in, Phil. Once the coypu start having babies they will get a bit aggressive if Lightning goes near them. They are not native species, so could be doing other harm to other creatures that are native. 🙂
You are a whizz of a mechanic. I admire your talent Phil. I hope that professional turns up soon to get rid of those pesky things. Give Lightening a hug and a kiss from me. He’s such a handsome dog and yes I love all dogs in all shapes and sizes. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Phil. You look a wee bit happier. I'm so glad for that.
Glad the mower was a relatively easy fix… yes your spring will be there in no time .. we are going into our autumn 🍂 she’s cooling down fast way down here .. and this year I’m not ready for winter 🥶 at all !!!
Those pesky critters are a major concern hopefully 🙏 you get help soon
❤❤
So clever a real Mr Fixit, thank you for sharing 😊
Your doing great Phil , one day at a time.
The pre spring clean up is always a challenge.
You sure are a Do it yourselfer! Now let's hope the weather cooperates. 🍻 Cheers to another job well done Phil 😉
Thought about taking up archery? River rats might make fun targets. 😊
Hi Phil, you can fix anything!! My former husband was like that. It was great. He was a Mechanical Engineer. Are you an engineer? 👷♀️ 😊
So glad you were able to fix it!
I believe you could fix about anything!
Thanks for sharing crazy weather in southern ontario canada temperature plus 18 one day next was minus 7 the next morning and very windy coming nw from lake huron which are still very cold Hardley ice pack on the lakes this year which not good ! Seasons are different this year especially!
Same here in lower w.Michigan. ...but it's going to warm up again soon.
I am in Texas. Early this week it was 90 now it is 31. Bipolar weather everywhere. Can’t believe how green it is in France.
Yes my grass is still green just a little brown at the road edge crazy !
Has this been an unusual year for rain in Normandy this year? Here in New Jersey we have had a completely crazy Winter weather wise. Example: yesterday we had heavy rain and wind with a warm 61F! Then this morning the puddles were all frozen! In other words, shirtsleeves one day. Heavy parkas the next!
Same here in Texas. Earlier this week it was 90 now it is 32.
Love watching the diversity of your skills and your such a lovely person ✨🇦🇺✨
Nice to see you, Phil! It’s been raining quite a bit here in Cali, as well! You are a good friend to help Billy, again! 😂 Keeping busy is good for our mental health, no matter the weather! Crack on!❤
I love all animals, but sorry, the rats have to go if they are upsetting Lightning, plus destroying your property. That’s for the vlog. K🇬🇧❤️❤️
You're so good at what you do Phil.
Get the rat catchers in
Phil, the time has come: you need to do something about the water rats. I know you love animals, bless you and so do I. Perhaps a wildlife organization may be able to give you advice on how to humanely deal with the problem. They may even send someone with ecpertise to help.
Lovely seeing you back phil and seen lighting walk into the room give him big cuddles love him ❤️
Man I thought you had a gaiter swimming in the moat 😮❤
That would be a great idea 💡. I large gator to remove or hundreds of big rats. My vote is for the 🐊
I am glad you at least know how to repair equipment and vehicles and I am sorry that it is a hassle
I think everything looks better than ever, big effort on your part and I notice it!
Last week was like that for me. It got better. Hang in there Man.
Wayto go Phil. Just like magic.
Hello Phil.... I'm so happy to see you getting back into your routine, accomplishing jobs and goals. Seeing you excited and feeling good about things.
Keep up the great work. Always love watching you. Is there anything you can't do??...lol. 😀
Look forward to seeing the next one. Take care. Sending love and prayers from South Carolina ❤
Why are you surprised that you fixed the wayward mower. You have fixed even worse problems in the past.
You’re doing a great job managing everything on your own.
The coypu must be dispatched some how.
Hope you get rid of the nasty river rat things 😥
Brilliant job on grass cutter⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☕🍰
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Hi Phil. You are doing an amazing job at the chateau. Whatever happened to the beautiful peacock and ducks. ❤
Phil, can you call on a local farmer perhaps to help you get rid of those coypu?
I have no idea what your money situation is but I would say you need to hire someone to help you! It’s a lot of property for just one person.
Have you thought about totally draining the moat and letting it refill with rain events? That would possibly get rid of the Nutria rats as they are called in Texas. The algae could be eradicated as well. While dry, the bank could be addressed as well as the fountains, chateau shutters, and the circulation system could be properly installed for keeping the water clear.
Getting it done love your vlogs weather looks a bit chilly well sunny days ahead and on to the next project. Ty for sharing
Clever chap
Look forward to the floor plan.
Great to see another video
Thank you for sharing
On the chanel about Castle Ten Berghe, they have a special mower that they use to clear the edges of the moat. It sits at a 45-degree angle (adjustable, I think) and is on a kind of arm that you extend. I wonder if you used one of those to remove the vegetation, if those nasty critters would head for the next moat over? 🧡
Is the ride on mower being fixed? Well done fixing the mower. Do you put the big equipmemt in wirk shop, to protect it from elements?
Let's stop waffling and let's get crackin!
You are so handy. Those koi poos are cute but yes I know a menace. Try putting some barley in the mote I have a lake outside my house and barley is supposed to help we used to do it It worked. I've been trying to find it again been having a hard time finding the big bales of barley. But get some barley put it where the water runs in to the mote.
I know it's your decision and I know you have to do what makes you happy. But I so hope you find happiness and stay at the chateau.
Is that a vintage Singer sewing machine on a treadle stand (over your shoulder in the yellow room)?
I wanted to ask that too- please show it to us Phil! Tell us the serial number in the top right hand side and we can tell you model and year!
I think those coypu are growing!
The Coypus will have to be trapped and caught, is there not a specialist who can help you Phil. Have a lovely day.
Can’t believe you still haven’t permanently take out the rodents 🤯
They are not an easy fix.
@@margielynch7196 they are if you have bullets and traps 😀
@@darant2249 You really think Phil would shoot anything!
@@janetpendlebury6808 no …and that’s why he has a rat problem
@@darant2249 Amen brother, I tried several times to tell him to do that thing you speak of and you tube wouldn’t let it post. I guess they have key words that tips them off if you use them. It is the way, says the Mandloran.
Get the pest control people in to eradicate the coypu. They need to go. Well done mending mower.
👋👍❤️
👋
🌟👏👍🍀💐
Phil.. do you still own the bar?
🙋😊🖒
Those water rat brazen critters must go before they hurt you, Lightning or someone. As you find it hard to take care of the many jobs that are needed to maintain your property, they are quickly undermining the banks of the moat and working against you. I hope officials can provide some assistance to rid the area of them. xx
Those Rats are huge and not to joke about some serious problem when they start to make your home their territory. Are there no Conservation Officers there or pest control? SHUDDER! Can you sleep with those that close? Scary! Later! 😢😮😊
Pay the pros and clear them out. It’s bad news!
Make Ratatouille out of them
Well Phil, I think it is time to do something a bit drastic to the "river rats" and encourage them that they need to relocate. It looks like there are too many of them and they are looking for food. Contact the people and see if they have any solutions for the problem. Good to see that you are in great spirits though. Have a great day
Seems to me you would rent out a room or let someone stay and help around the garden
As I’ve said many times before I don’t want people inside my home or I get no privacy and place to relax….
I’m on my way Phil. I’d love to get my hands on your garden.
@@ChateauLife Phil you could carefully vet people and and have them stay in the convent.
@@tiffany-sheriwageman.3702 He does not have a convent?
Hi Phil, what is the name of the hedge you trimmed? Thanks❤
Laurel hedge
@@ChateauLife Thank you for the answer. I thought it was. I love the fact they stay green all year long.
Can those awful critters be net trapped?
Sounds mean but those critters are destructive and invasive..Is it allowed to poison them?
I understand that like me you don’t like the idea of killing the coypu, but they are a danger to you and Lightning and any potential visitors with pets or small children.
You have to get someone in to dispatch them somehow and before the summer as they are getting far too bold.
those rats have to go!!
You need a nice airsoft rifle to take care of your "Varmints!!"
I couldn’t do that. No way. I’d have to leave and let someone else do that.
@@kathyhembyhewett6109 Didn't ask you.
They are destroying his property. Time to go.
@@dennispatrick4999 I’m allowed sir, to have an opinion. Just like you, sir.
@@kathyhembyhewett6109 Mine wasn't an opinion; but a suggestion to his problem.

@@dennispatrick4999 how do I block your rude ass?

You need a rat eating dinosaur.
Alas, they are so hard to obtain . . . 😊
