My fave thing about your videos is that they all make you FEEL something. Love the music and vibe of this. Its all about finding the calm in the chaos!
Muhammad saad I’m majoring in film studies with a minor in entrepreneurship to hopefully start my own wedding videography business after school. I know some other common minors are business, digital arts, maybe com, just depends on what track you wanna take. A lot of colleges have great film programs even if they aren’t major film schools!
This video made me feel so many emotions at the same time, I am so happy this was recommanded to me bc that is the kind of quality content everyone needs right now
It's like the song was written for this footage and the footage was shot for this song. The voice was needed to add to the feeling and the pandemic had to happen for for the birth of this peace of art. Best example where the total is more than the sum of the parts, therefore I watch this every day to cheer me up.
You make me wish I had friends like this who was willing to travel the world with me. Seriously just thanks for being a genuinely nice guy who takes the time to respond to his followers, and for also for staying how you are and not changing for anybody. Thanks for being the inspiration I need in my every day Life, when I feel down and don't feel like creating. Just thanks for everything really🙏❤️
As a fellow traveler, I felt the same. Now that we're mostly stuck at home, I had time to appreciate what I did in the past. Not to mention me looking at my travel pics over and over again. If there's something I did during this quarantine period is to edit my Switzerland vlogs ♡ can't wait to be outside and feel nature once again!
Thank you for this. After spending a year and a half in NZ, I left my heart there. Being stuck in the house makes me feel numb in compare to the adventures we used to go on. The music, the commentary, the shots- gives me hope to one day be out there again, living life. To everyone in lockdown, Kia Kaha xx
My dad was born in nz but raised in Canada, he went back to nz with all of his friends after high school and lived there for a few months in the 80s. This video reminds me of the photos he showed me a while back. Thanks for the great vibes man:)
I'm planning on getting a Super 8 for my 18th birthday. Since forever, I've always had a camera in my hand, always filming everything, always trying to capture the beauty of our world in a way that will let the universe know we are here. I found Super 8 footage by accident on RUclips once and when I saw what this gorgeous film turned out to be, I fell in love. These are the types of films I want to create. Not the ones with narrative or plots, but the ones that capture the joy of being with friends and family. The candid moments. I'm that kid carrying an old camera around my neighbourhood or school, trying to capture the world.
THIS video, this is not only a video, that's a feeling, an emotion. That's a wave of sensation that makes me cry everytime. This is the video I watch everytime my sister leaves the house and I just go to her bedroom, this video in my ears and the tears in my eyes... This video is something to me, very special so thank you!
Everything about this is so amazing and makes me so happy right now. This could definitly be something to apply for film school. I wish you all the best whatever that is going to be for you
this is the kind of travel videos people are missing out on, it ain't about all the crazy effects or smooth transactions, its the simple interactions and smiles. it hit the feels for me man, take care :)
Frankly this is the best piece of lockdown content I've ever seen. I have watched it several times over the span of a year and I still just got goosebumps.
just to you to know, im 17 years old from another side of the globe and for nearly for a half year had this amazing and suprisingly massive respect for life and for those who are fighting day by day just to make another day, I dont know if that makes any sense but, i wish you to achive any "weird" dreams that you have and dont be shy to express yourself, happiness is wild and unique and everyone finds their own. mine always been finding adventure and stepping out of comfort zone but sadly nowadays its hard to achive, whatever yours is, I dare you to stick to it and never ever gave it up because life is short so is youth. everything is now, tommorow doesnt exists, everything that happens happens this moment, every step you take brings you to "real you" who is far away from starting line and I want you to enjoy the path that will bring you there. just think how many shots you are missing without taking one. please take care of yourself and your wild dreams especially
What a film... undescripable. It made me feel so much emotions at the same time. Especially the part ‘I’m sorry it took a complete lock down to reach out’. It’s so relatable... life Goes by so fast that we sometimes forget the most important thing in our lives : love and friendship. Thank you for this amazing video ❤️
I love this...I feel the same, looking back at all the memories I had traveling...it makes those moments even MORE special now! grateful to be alive in the here & now!!
lots of love from a New Zealander on lockdown - I've been to all these places with family but this film has given me a huge desire to revisit them when i can; there's nothing like standing on top of a mountain with a band of good friends to make you feel alive and grateful for it.
This is great. I kinda watch this periodically to remind myself what I’ve got to look forward to after lockdown. I’m in Auckland, locked down for 28 days. This helps. Thanks man
you are a blessing n i am blessed that i have managed to find you in youtube where millions n trillions of videos n people exist.... love you sam.. and if we die tomorrow then i vl make sure my today was worth living😘😘😘
There’s this emotional thing to this, it’s a bit nostalgic. Also the dialogue hits you on a personal level, and it’s funny cause we don’t even know each other. The song really hits you! I mean, y’all get a bit emotional on the visuals, and the dialogues and then you hear, “if we all die tomorrow “! This is so good!
I always find myself drawn to videos like these about New Zealand because it makes me realise how much I take my country for granted, and how beautiful it really is. Sometimes all it takes is for someone else to show off all the spectacular things about a place that you seem to forget about and recognise as just being part of daily life. It's a good kick you up the ass that seems to say "You are so fortunate to live where you do, and this is proof why." I think a lot of people forget about the beauty of their home because it's what they're used to, but even with a sense of familiarity there are still new things to explore. I always imagined travelling to a far away country to be able to experience naturally beauty and biodiversity, but this video reminds me that I don't need to travel far to experience such things. (Though, I think I will have to wait until after lockdown to do any travelling.)
Dude, love this and so glad we got to hang in nz. The footage is epic. Makes me sad and happy watching it. I Always appreciate travel, but now I’d be beyond grateful to even be allowed see my gf now. How crazy life changes. Keep safe dude!
This is exactly the sort of travel films I would like to make. I'm nowhere near this yet but I'm going to try my very best! Thank you for this very inspirational video!!
film will never be as good looking as modern technology. but there is nothing as magical as holding a physical copy of that moment, and the light that burned your memory.
I can recognise almost all of the places you went to. All of them I haven’t been to as I’m not much a traveler. Your video made me feel gutted that I actually don’t take the time to enjoy the outside. I’m so lucky to have this landscapes and sceneries an hour or two drive away. I’m so lucky to call this little country of ours my home as well. Stay safe everyone!!❤️
Thank you so much for this. Last year at this time I was in New Zealand and it became kind of like a second home and I really miss it. This video just gave me major nostalgia.
My goodness. My Heart. This gave me all the feels. memories from travelling that have gone undocumented - the chats, the laughs, the random moments, new friends, the inbetween moments, etc. - this video made me re-live all of that, AND I AM A MESS!!!!!! Amazing video bro 🙌🏽
I spend one year in new zealand after dreaming about it my whole childhood. It was the first place where I felt home, where I felt truly happy I miss it so much, I can't even explain So yeah, this video made me cry
i've watched this over and over again. really inspiring me to have a trip to NZ (obviously when the world is okay). and his voice made the video gone to a whole new level!
Brilliant. I've seen a few of your amazing videos. This one makes me realize what your style is really about. It makes the previous videos I watched more understandable. Your attention to detail is next level. 🎯🏆
So beautiful. There's something so peaceful and nostalgic about film, a lot of my friends don't understand why I appreciate it so much. Can't wait to send them this video.
this was beautiful and somehow so touching i cried. the voice note was a touching addition, the footage made me want to see the world and nature with my dearest friends and see them smile. and the song, oh man that was a whole new feeling. thank you for this
Just got in my Minolta XL601 and I’ve been obsessing over other people’s footage also I’ve seen that Tom Rosenthal music is literally made for super 8 footage like every video I’ve seen someone uses something he’s done! Amazing job on this beautiful film can wait to create my own experiences! Cheers
Great job on this video, I really respect this a lot and you. Great song to use in this as well. Stay safe man and see you around this crazy planet of ours. Martain Scorasee said before, "Cinema is a matter of what's in the frame and what's out." I feel like you are doing something right. If we die tomorrow it will be worth it, my family is here and I could not be anymore happier. I hope we come out of this a more understanding of what is to come.
Ah yes this exactly what I needed to see today! Love the feeling you super 8 footage evokes.
