In June 2018, we hiked the Manzanita Lake Loop Trail. It is a 2-mile loop with 70 feet of elevation gain. It is an easy family-friendly trail that is great for bird watching and wonderful views of Lassen Peak. The trail starts at the Loomis Museum/Visitor Center or near the Manzanita Lake Campground. Follow the trail around the lake.

That trail is great for sunset or sunrise photos of Lassen Peak. I have done that before. Lassen is a spectacular park.
We didn't spend enough time in Lassen to do sunrise or sunset pictures. We will need to make the time on our next visit. Thank you for the tip, Leon!

A 2 mile lops sounds nice, especially in that weather. The lake had great views all around, not too keen on the sound of avalanches mind😳. The views over the lake to the mountains were amazing, what a great walk! Cheers Alan

@@WithinHikingDistance oui nous l’avons vue plusieurs fois ...et oui nous sommes vaccinés depuis le 5 avril (Pitzfer deuxième dose le 26 juillet ) ...nous lui fesons laver les mains en entrant à la maison et on ne fait pas de gros câlins...ont se mets de dos et ont se frotte les fesses ...Lol! 🤣🤣🤣 il trouve cela bien drôle et Mylia qui a 3 ans c’est pareil .
C’est arrivé à plusieurs reprises qu’il a fallu les garder ...et oui il s’entendraient sûrement très bien ☺️😉👍

Wow. this is one incredible video. LVNP is one of the underrated NP. There are so many hiking trails. The lake is so beautiful. I spent only a day in LVNP and i hiked to see the the hypothermal area in Bumpass hell trail. It was nice hike. i'll explore more when i visit this gem in this summer.

It is a very photogenic trail. Leon from the YT channel Waterfall Madman said it was a good spot for sunrise and sunset pictures. I can't believe I understood what he meant to say in the video. I was probably just guessing 😂😂 Time flies... Thanks so much for watching, Eric!

Love seeing a blue sky mountain trail! Things are slowly opening up our way, including our parks and crown land, can't wait til the open up the overnight thing...hopefully soon. Just coming off a long weekend here, had a great paddle and put Ryan onto a 6 pound laker, he was pretty jacked! Nice walk through the pines and cruzing around the lake. Hope you all are well!!! Keep on rocking it.

@@WithinHikingDistance yeah, it would be great. Last year we missed the opportunity to golf with an old pal of ours at Bandon Dunes. See if Mich opens up for us this year. If you guys ever make it to the northern shores of Lake Superior region, I'll make sure we get your son hooked into some nice fish! Ha. Keep rocking those amazing mountain scenes. Every few years I get to breath in that mountain air, and it always feels great!

@@WithinHikingDistance hopefully one day! Our golf buddy in the area moved to Australia, so we may have to reschedule a golf trip to Melbourne..HA! But I want to get out hiking a few hours north of Bandon Dunes with the kids sometime down the road, while my brother is still in Vancouver.
We stopped at Manzanita Lake for lunch last year with Katerina. Didnt have time to hike though, maybe this year when we are back up that way. Have a great week everyone.
