Naw the US isn't really. if anything Poland & hell to an extent Belgium is more responsible than the US. Both of them were just mini Frances, the US was doing completely reasonable actions and I mean, they didn't need to funnel money to keep Germany semi viable, but they did 🦍
I mean, at least the US saw what France and Britain was doing as unfair and too harsh. Even tried to help. You just can't plan for the "Great Depression".
True! So in this video, it’s not about directly plan for the Great Depression, but because of the Wall Street Crash that caused US’s economy (in stock market) to crash, it directly contributed to a heavy downfall in Europe’s economy (because Europe had a lot of loans from the US in WWI…and they also sorta rely on US to restore their economy), where Weimar was heavily affected, because of mostly relying US’s loans on recovering it’s own economy. I do appreciate your comment tho, and I hope this could help solve a bit of the problem!
@@-.Aiudeli.- Oh, sorry if I made you think there was a problem ^.^`. Yeah, the US was probably the one to heavily contribute to Weimar's downfall, but had Britain and France not asked for reparations from them, Weimar might have been able to recover like other countries did. I wonder how much of history would have changed if Weimar rained and Hitler was unable to rise to power.
Hm, let’s say if Weimar Republic was able to recover financially, it might still have some problems
One being the pride of Germans I suppose, because of being humiliated by their defeat and by France n Britain (in the perspective of Germans during that period?)
On the other hand we got West Prussia (blocked by Danzig towards the main area of Germany), which might result in arguments with Poland. Although the LoN stopped border disputes among them two in 1926, it's not sure if it's gonna happen again.
And if Austrian painter didn’t rise to power, there would always be someone else that would do so. The Austrian painter is just one amongst the many people of the NSDAP at the start. With all that hatred against the Weimar Republic, one party would eventually stand up against the place and might start a world war
