      He was a ridiculous shooter coming off screens, especially in his first stint in Seattle.

      @@batman9512 He was always the shit but Dick Motta hated him and only put Dale in at the end of close games to hit the three's for the win. I was sooo happy when he got traded to Seattle and was a starter who made a big difference for them as he hit the ground running, still hitting the three's for many more years. His career 3P% is 7% higher than MJ.

      @@maxximus67 Motta was JEALOUS bc Dale could do things that Motta's heroes could not do..and that was score/pass/rebound and run the floor and hit the 3 or drive it home in the paint. ONE OF THE NBA's ALL-TIME GREATS, but you'd never know it bc everything back then was kissing MJ's ass.
      Dale Ellis could play w. anybody any era.
      PEACE.

  • @Polyester_Avalanche

    5:59 over the backboard shot rule is the strangest in the NBA. Sometimes they allow it and sometimes they don't. Even shots from directly behind the backboard sometimes don't get waived off.

    From about 1988 to 1998, there was a lot of talent that Michael came up against from:
    Michael Finely, Gary Payton, Dražen Petrović (In America), Glen Rice, Larry Johnson, Shaq, Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Dale Ellis, Kobe, Iverson, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Paul Pierce, Tracy McGrady, Dirk Nowitzki etc etc.

    Scottie Pippen was about 2 years off from being a great player. 87/88 Pippen's rookie year he averaged just 7ppg. 88/89 Pippen averaged 14ppg the entire season. Basically Jordan's Bulls didnt Get over the hump and start having a winning record to 1990/1991. By that time Pippen was deadly on defense, averaged 20ppg and Horace Grant also stepped his game up was averaging 13ppg.

      rafikz77 -protect MJ? You kids are laughable. The greater part of rule changes occur in 04-05. If your talking about the flagrant foul rules in 91, you have no idea what you're saying and you're regurgitating internet conspiracy theory nonsense. Go watch games from the 90's and get back to me about him being protected - that's literally absurd.

      FTs attempted per game: Harden - 8.3, K. Malone - 8.9, Kobe - 7.4, LeBron - 8.1, and Jordan 8.2. This is a very high-level FT attempts comparison, and rules changes and style of play between eras are factors. Jordan was very aggressive and played with a high motor, so it's logical he'd draw more fouls than Kobe, as an example. Also, Kobe took more threes than Jordan, since the game was not as three-oriented when Jordan played. This meant that Jordan was taking shots closer to the basket and in more crowded areas, which increased the likelihood he'd get fouled. It's no secret that all stars get some sort of special treatment.

    • @maniacmasturbator2411
      @maniacmasturbator2411 4 года назад

      rafikz77 this wasn’t before Jordan started getting superstar calls. In fact, about a month or so into his pro career, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated (A Star is Born) and they talked about how superstars got preferential treatment and that Jordan was already being allowed to get away with travels, because he was a star already. It was already commonplace for stars to get calls before Jordan entered in the NBA, and it remained that way after he left.
