    IMPOSSIBLE!!! The energy, the strenght, the athletic ability and the coordination...he is everywhere...look at this video and you will realize lots of things that can't be decribed with words...this game tells lots...

    An icon among boys that night... the crowd energy is like something you would see at a soccer game... Real Madrid in the CR7 days... MJ made masterpieces even during the insignificant games...

    When Michael Jordan entered the NBA, he impose himself as one of the best players in the NBA (respect to Magic, Bird, Julius E., but from the first game he was something special).

  • @Fka995
    @Fka995 12 лет назад +14

    MJ dominated at every stage of his career. Here, young and athletic out the wazoo, he dominated with quickness, strength, hops, and energy. Later, as he learned that he could score much easier with Scottie and Horace in tow, dominated with a silky smooth jump shot and an increased knowledge of the game. Later, coming off his first retirement, he dominated with his mental acuity, energy, and an improved three point game. Truly, the greatest player of all time. Bar none.

    • @ab-xp3fb
      @ab-xp3fb 7 лет назад +1

      Yeah I actually don't like athletic raw super leaping Jordan as much as "silky smooth" DOMINATING Jordan. From about 93' on, you're watching a master at his craft and you're just in awe as his EFFICIENCY.

    One way to describe some of the stuff Mj was doing is 'smooth'. All his actions, every move, just seemed smooth and seamless. Amazing game, and this game alone shows why MJ even at that stage of his career>>>>>>>>> you name them.

    @TyroneNBAFan
    i agree, I remember when i first watch his game in around 91-92, at the point i didnt understand the game so much, I notice something very different about him to the rest of the players. not just the fact that he always got the chance to shoot the ball, but also his speed and the way he easily get past his defenders. he was like a supercar among all the normal sedans. i hope this doesnt sound too corny.

    • @massdagod
      @massdagod 6 лет назад

      This is a very old comment but I too had the same type of scenario while watching him play for the 1st time. The 1993 NBA Finals, Jordan just looked 10 steps better than everyone else. Your supercar comment makes a whole lot of sense to me.

    Good upload Hoops. Amazing game! Today, there are about 5-6 guys (Kobe, Lebron, Melo, etc) who we can debate as being the best in the league, but from the mid 80s to early 90s there was absolutely no debate- there was Jordan, then everyone else…

    @xdachinamanx you are right..i have a wide collection myself. don't have this game, though. This break away dunk is my favorite of all time. Nor Kobe or Lebron were as fast and smooth like Mike was. Lebron might be fast and kobe might be mooth, but they don't have the combo. And the skills.......he had a lot of tough shots witht he left too. Amazing !
    really nice to see this video.

    @hoopfan71 fam very good point. with the HOF players surrounding these greats. this era can not in my opinion match with that caliber of players. why they chase the money. Air,Magic and Bird had each other as rivals. who is labron's? the skill level is there but the desire to be the man is in question. he'll get there one day, HOF rodman gets in with those numbers playing for lets say the LA clippers?

    @jeditwinz The other thing about the Jordan, Scottie debate is that I think Jordan was a better defensive rebounder. Which is just as important as anything you do defensively. Which is also why I find it annoying when someone with no basketball sense says that Scottie was a better rebounder than Jordan. The difference between their rebounding numbers is that Scottie grabbed more offensive rebounds. But that has more to do with the position those two played than any sort of rebounding skill.

  • @popeyeisgood
    @popeyeisgood 13 лет назад +1

    @jeditwinz
    yea mj in his athletic prime, 84-92 was just a superior p-defender than pip, or any one else before and after. jordan was faster and quicker in pretty much everything. the only thing short about jordan's p-defense compared to pip is perhaps his wingspan. he was just relentless on both ends during that period. and i cant believe people now think lebron or wade is more athletic than this guy, they just have no idea or memory about jordan in his prime, and unwilling to be educated.

  • @popeyeisgood
    @popeyeisgood 13 лет назад +1

    and dont tell me it is because kobe has been in the league since high school, and jordan wasnt. jordan was also playing in competitive basketball before entering nba.kobe played roughly about 20 min per game in his first two years. i wouldnt call those 3 years the major reason for how beat up kb is now. besides, he could have used some college education and not be that money hungry at the age of 18.

  • @bobbo0383
    @bobbo0383 13 лет назад

    @jeditwinz SGs are perimeter players and since Jordan was their best on ball defender, he has to get back on defense. If he goes in there trying to grab an offensive board, and he doesn't get it the other team has numbers going the other way. You have to maintain defensive balance on the court and him trying to go after rebounds doesn't allow that to happen. That's why people who say Pip was a better rebounder have no clue what they are talking about.

  • @metajna
    @metajna 13 лет назад +1

    @popeyeisgood Hey man. You said everything perfectly. Kobe entered the NBA at 18. Of course, it was David Stern and media propaganda to overrate him as a player because MJ carrer was ending, and they needed to find way to at attract sponsors and crowd. First of all, Kobe directly joined the Lakers, but he was drafted to Hornets I think, and said that he don't want to play with them(obviously, he wanted one of the best club, it's clear why.....).

    Every time, just when U begin to think for EVEN a MOMENT that U have seen HIS AIRNESS do it ALL and IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER ... IT DOES! It's just like the NIKE'S MJ "Frozen in Time/Frozen Moment" Commercial; which ONLY real NBA Basketball Fans will understand and DEFINITELY NOT Fans of the NERF NBA Basketball of today ... Badminton is more exciting to watch than any NERF NBA Game played today ... MICHAEL JORDAN IS, WAS & ALWAYS WILL BE THE ONE AND ONLY GOAT!
    How can U explain to NERF NBA Fans that Michael Jordan SOLD OUT Stadiums wherever HE Played during HIS ENTIRE CAREER ... from when HE entered the NBA with The Chicago Bulls and through his Seasons with the Wizards. This is one of the best Games that EMPHATICALLY DEMONSTRATES that when Michael AIR Jordan played at another Team's Home Town Stadium, the usual perception of "Home Court Advantage" was thrown out. Everyone jumping up & Cheering for Michael Jordan and it's NOT even close to being at Chicago Stadium! Thanks for the wonderful video!

    But Jordan, drafted by Chicago (one of the worst teams at that moment), accpeted the challenge, and lifted Chicago to 6 champs. Kobe's first 3 years were pretty bad....and I hate when people say he was too young.....??..then why he enter the NBA if he wasn't ready. And also Kobe was an all star player in 1998 (way overrated). If you're an all star player you should dominate the game, and not playing small role in your team (he started only 1 game that season).....??? that's no sense!
