- This 1968 McLaren M8A Can-Am Racecar featured an all-aluminum 7 liter Chevrolet big-block V8 producing 620bhp. Two were produced. This one was filmed at Collectors Car Garage in Chicago, Illinois during the Rise and Drive monthly event.

Wow waide less than a VW and had 750 to 800 horse 427 Chevy aluminium big block. Attended afew CanAm races here in So California at Riverside Raceway may it rest in peace.
Why would you think the crappy music adds value to this video?
Most importantly at least the music wasn't put over the car being started then that would be crappy

Been lucky enough to stand near cars like this when they get fired up, would need a room full of subwoofers to match it 😍
I have been lucky enough to be track side at Mosport Park watching a whole pack of these monsters . All the subwoofers in the world could not better that .

Took a friend to his first motorsport meeting at Brands Hatch, it was a classic meet for classic F1’s, GT’s, Can-am’s and touring cars. We went to the paddock and they were just going to start the big 8-9litre JCB McLaren M8, I stood about 6” behind the exhausts with Nick next to me and said nothing and waited. The way he jumped back when that huge V8 exploded into life was worth the entry cost alone.
What is that racket in the background?

Restored by Duncan Fox of Group 7 Sportscars in New Zealand. The only McLaren M8A in the world.
2023: Can Am - the greatest show on earth. I followed it everywhere in Eastern North America. Best view: Mosport, inside top of Corner 2. God Bless the Bruce and Denny Show.

The woman with the bright green cap, at 3:16, around when they rev it, you can almost read her lips. Given her shoulder shrug and head shaking and telling her to leave, apparently she didn't like this. That's fine lady, but you must have known this whole event was going to have loud cars before you bought tickets to get in. If you hate the noise, then why did you attend? God, I hate people like that.
