Totally awesome. My last malinois was so smart too! I could teach that one anything!!! My current Malinois has the concentration of a peanut and would rather be lazy than tired.... :D Fortunately, she is very sweet!!! But there is quite a difference between one Malinois and another I have found out in the meantime ... haha
Great job I'm currently trying to teach my blue Heeler how to sit pretty she also know sit, paw, and ,lay down so yeah thanks for inspiring me more!❤️❤️❤️
My dog is gonna go for her champion soon, she currently has her advanced trick title. Thanks for the ideas on what to do for the handler choice tricks!
Aww, she's adorable. ♥ I love this training & I can see so does she. It is really great you've taught your pup to be patient so early & try out many different things. ♥ Hats off! Keep it up! Your dog loves you :)
eI have a african grey ( the feathered variety of one of these dogs ) I would love a B/Mal: but could'nt do it justice with the other high to maintain pets that I have , if I had no other pets I would so have one of these beautiful dogs.. So good to see this video giving this one plenty to do and think about .
Awesome job! I had a Dogues de Bordeaux who got his CD and TDI (Therapy Dog)-who passed at 9 years old. What a great dog you could talk to him like he was a person, very smart. I miss him every day. Now we have a 5 year old mini dachshund, he’s a great little dog , love him. As far a training goes I’ve tried everything even several different languages and so far have not found one that he understands. He will warn us and everyone on the block that a Fedex truck or the mailman is outside by barking his head off. He begs for food,I mean all the time.He loves to nap in your lap and that’s pretty much it. We’re hoping by the time he’s 10 he will get the hang of relieving himself outside all the time. He is certainly a challenge. He also loves to chase squirrels and someday with them tiny little legs he might even catch one.But we do love him.
Gotta love malinois! I have a 7 month DDR GSD and we do these things. My dream dog is a malinois since my cousin that works for swat has 2 of them. I can't wait! Nice video
🌅💚🌅💚C'est une superbe vidéo. Vous êtes très éducative . 💕 💜💕💜 Il n'y a pas de forcing , juste du jeu et des récompenses 🏆 super. Thank you for sharing. Salut. 🏅🏅🏅.
Collie and Labradors are both intelligent breeds, forget what this trainer can do YOU can teach your dog any trick in the video in an hour, plenty of tutorials about 😑
I like the clicker but I'm not so sure about food/treat rewarding. How about a toy/ball for reward? That has always worked for me. Tell me if I am wrong.
Not necessarily wrong, depends upon what the dog finds most rewarding. Some people introduce with food, because the association is practically immediate. Later, one generally fades both the clicker and the food out but can replace with toy, affection OR in the absolutely optimal case, the chance to repeat the behavior. This moves then from extrinsic motivation (to get what the trainer has) to "I love doing this." (ie intrinsic motivation). My dog at 12 years old is so used to learning that I stopped using the clicker - she doesn't need the immidate identification that it's "correct". And when we did Schutzhund, I only used a vocal clicker similar sign for stuff she wasn't as fond of as bite work, like the heeling. But that's getting kind of advanced. (I'm a retired trainer and canine behavior consultant, working mostly with fear and fear aggression)
My 5 year old Chihuahua learned sit pretty in 5 minutes last night.. You just have to take the time to do it. They will do anything for a little TLC and a treat.
It’s best to start them off when young, and they learn real quick within a day all you gotta do is either have a pierce of dog food of choice or a small treat
@Mr.Teddy &co A Malinois loves to learn, it's what makes those dogs happy. Not every dog is like this. For example, my best friend has a Malinois and my friend and me have been training him. It's insane what this dog can do, but a Malinois hate to be alone. We are both still students, so in class during the day and live at home, during the day, Eros the Malinois is in his dad store. He goes out alone, he knows where he can do his needs and when he comes back,, he goes to greet the butcher, where he gets a treat and the baker. We never learned him this. My neighbors have a German shepherd which is a very different dog. He doesn't mind being alone, and besides going for walks, he doesn't like to learn tricks. Another friend has a labrador, and when he was a puppy we also tried to learn him the same tricks as we did with Eros, but the only thing he still can do is sit and give a paw, while we can send Eros into a shop and just by snifing something, he will find that product in the store, and he loves doing this.
i think its really impressive that your dog does this but im just curious, what is the purpose in these tricks? Like tapping her foot on something or running to a post. At least with agility tricks, the purpose is entertainment. I'm just confused. But clearly you have very good control and training technique so i hope i dont offend.
There are several benefits/advantages to teaching all of those tricks. It promotes a better and deeper bond and understanding between puppy and owner as they get to do and achieve things together. It teaches the puppy discipline and to obey her owner more. It teaches the puppy to mind her owner, to focus more on her owner. It provides both physical exercise as well as mental stimulation for the puppy and that is espeially important to the highly intelligent and energetic Belgian Malinois. If you don't provide physical AND mental stimulation to a Belgian Malinois or to any dog/puppy for that matter, the puppy will become bored and restless and she will then develop behavioral problems, etc.
I have y girl Emma a 3 month malinous and she can sit, jump, stand and down on my comand. But it's hard when it come to stay, and to stop her to keep biting me I bought shew toys, ball a tug toy but she keeps playing and biting me please can someone share some light over here.
Lourdes Laureano You clearly didn’t research enough about the breed then. Malinois is a working dog, which are used for bitework, IPO, PSA, French ring, military and police. There’s a reason why they use them in things like that. They are bitey high drive dogs dogs! Not pets! Find a a French ring club or Schutzhund club near you.
Nice job! Bravo. I have a Belgian malinois. I lately adopted a female cat and her kitten. It’s already two weeks passed together and they don’t get along and i am afraid they will never. They had a very bad incident when they first met. The dog stays in the garden. The cat inside the house. Anyone who had similar experience to help me plz?
Try contacting a trainer. E-collars help with teaching the dog not to chase the cats if that’s a problem. Malinois have very hard prey drive and require the assistance of a knowledgeable trainer with working dog breed experience
I would recommend rehoming him if you haven't already, by you asking for advice I'm assuming you have never owned a dog before. Well the Belgian Malinois is the most eager to please dog and easy to train if you got the experience and time everyday..........If you don't fulfil his needs, not give him a routine and have him work mentally and physically you will have a dangerous dog on your hands as he approaches adulthood around 2 years, that's the most honest I can be without care of offending, may be worth looking up solidk9training on RUclips the guy seems to know the most of the trainers I've come across. good luck
You don’t get a malinois and then ask for tips on how to train it months later. I’m honestly shocked the pup hasn’t been dumped already for destroying your house.
@@eamonnm1848 thanks. You sound very smart. How many world teams or championships have you been on and earned? This amazing pup and I have been on two world teams and won 1 championship. Talk is cheap.

Gorgeous Mali...her snout gives me a slight German Sherphard....like maybe a few generations before in her bloodline...long pointy snout like a GSD
Actually German shepherds have a thicker snout and Malinois are thinner/pointier. They are slimmer all over.
