911 Turbo S is 100% stock
Z06 has full bolt ons and an E50 tune making around 670 whp on an manual transmission with No Passenger.
The Porsche had 1 Passenger and was automatic mode for both races( Manual mode would have been much better to start in as you can see the delay from Porsche downshifting at the get go)

And its racing a modified car. My ole built stang would easily whoop them both BUT it was a fully built, 1200 HP car when completed, also lightened by about 270 pounds. Not at all fair-

There's nothing special about an overpriced VW Beatle, with AWD. That's what AWD cars do. I'm suprised the Corvette got the traction that it did.

@@mauriziodileo6659 You wash your mouth that so called little engine is twin turboed, with one the fastest shifting dual clutch transmission, and all wheel drive, the mid-engine C8 with it's rear weight bias and dual clutch alone can out accelerate a C7 Z06 with a 155 horses less, the Z06 can't get sufficient traction despite the power, that tech gets the maximum power to the ground, why you think the more heavier GTR is one of the most fastest at accelerating despite its weight? Its becuase of AWD.

@@AutoGlory Vette would lose...it would spin badly at the start or slow down due to traction control coming on from preventing a spin...I have a bolted Grand Sport also with a stage 3 cam doing 495rwhp and I activate traction control with anything under 35mph hard throttling...Z06 be worst...but with my driving style I rather have the 911...I love fast acceleration from stop lights for personal enjoyment rather than trying to drive fast or race someone on the highway...

By doing a rolling start, that takes away the Turbo’s advantage off the line with great launch control, awesome weight shift, and rear wheel hook up. From a dead stop, the Porsche will be ahead to hundred I would think, but rolling start at 30 or 40 mitigates the Turbo’s initial jump off the line. Were both of these cars stock?

Stock 911 TTS vs. fully bolt on Z. Having had them both, I am surprised that the Z so easily beat the Porsche. It hooked up much better than mine did. Both great cars.

These arguments will go on till the end of time. Some will say, lets see them from a dig. Lets see both stock. Lets see it against a ZR1. Some fail to realize some stock cars have an advantage off the bat over their competition. Some have AWD, dual clutch, less weight, more hp, gearing not really best for digs vs another that is geared better for a roll. Unless you are a true fanboy of either, you will appreciate the cars for what they are. With enough bucks, you can make anything faster, have a shop put in better quality materials,etc. That's what i love about Jay Leno, he has domestic and foreign cars up the yazoo, he just appreciates performance cars, regardless of who makes them. I would love to own a ZR1, the 911, the Aventador, the GT500, a Widebody Redeye Charger Hellcat, a ZLI/1LE, BMW Competition, Audi R8, and so many others. I luv them all, just wish i had Leno's bucks. This talk about " German Engineering" is blown out of proportion, IMO. A car that can put up the numbers a Viper or ZLI/1LE can put up on the Nurburgring is not engineered?. You have to be pretty fast, go around the corners, brake hard, etc, without ending up wrapped around a tree, even in the hands of a pro. It takes engineers who know how to design a vehicle that can do all that. Give them credit and stop thinking it's not "engineered" if it's not German. Safe driving all.

Nobody says they’re not engineered. It’s just that german engineering is superior, i dont see how it’s blown out of proportion personally. Germany constantly brings new technology and engineering into the game and is a constant innovator, german performance cars are incredibly precise and way more precise than american cars, what makes american cars fast is just putting a massive HP number into a non well refined chassis.

Nice video love both cars, I have been looking to get a newer porsche, but like this 18 turbo S your talking $160k+, I currently have a 16 z06 with intake and pulley made 620whp and only have $45k into it total, but those awd porsche do get out of the hole quick but at a roll would be easy to beat a stock one I crushed a p100d at a 70 roll not long ago but I know off a dig would be nowhere close lol

The Porsche is the better car but if being able to save money is a huge priority for you.... keep the z06 and mod it more. Full exhaust and a little smaller pulley would get you moving for sure or throw a Magnuson on there 😇

I've driven in C6's and C7's, and I was comfortable in both the passenger and driver's seats for long distances. Never took a ride in a late model 911. Is it as comfortable as the Corvette???
It def. Drives better and feels better all around .As for the seats...I can't remember which felt nicer to be in. Neither were bad at all
911 WAYYYYYYYY more comfy, especially a Turbo S.

I know people who either have had, or now own, both cars. They say that while both are comfortably snug and ride very firm, the Corvette seems to be a bit more forgiving of an automobile when it comes to getting comfortable AND making minor mistakes whole driving.
@@josephvoorhees9353 Yes I have both makes. Porsche chief design engineer since the 991 is a guy who is 6'6" tall. I am 6'5 and 225. There is simply no comparison, 911 is infinitely more comfortable. The Vette has gotten progressively tighter and narrower with less headroom and footwell room since the C5. The C8 is better being mid engine, but the middle stack makes it tight also. Go drive a 991 or 992 if you don't believe me. Please do it
@@02hreblue30 I stand corrected. But one thing. I am 6'-1" and 203 lbs. I've been in C2's through C6's . The C4 and C5 were the most constructive of all of them. I could not comfortably drive either model. My friend Nick's 2013 C6 has more ample room than either of its two predecessors. I have sat but not driven in a C7 and I thought it was comparable to my friend's C6. I have no knowledge of, or experience with a C8. But my acquaintances who have time in a C8 say it is a game changer compared to the C7. Significantly different handling response and body balance.

First of all, in my opinion it makes no sense to compare stock vs. tuned or bolt on or tuned vs tuned. I am sure a Porsche turbo S 2020 stock has no chance to beat a C7 Z06 stock from 100 - 180 as a Carrera S 2020 vs. our C7 Z 51 on the german autobahn ( Porsche driver only, Corvette 2 persons, 30 kg baggage) - we took him down every accelaration. Thats important and fun for me, not from 0 - 60 - where we can I do it, in the city ?

I like the vette for what it is...but what it isn't is a 911 turbo s. The Porsche is engineering excellence. Stock to stock, 1/4 digg or on a track the turbo s is superior.
The Z06 is the better track car of these two. Z06 on Nurburgring did a 7:13:9 and the 991.2 Turbo S did a 7:17:11. On Laguna Seca Z06 did a 1:33:05 by Randy Pobst. Randy posted a 1:33:21 in the 580 hp 911 Turbo S and the 560 HP Turbo S did a 1:35:62. At Car and Driver’s tests on Virginia International Raceway, the Z06 posted a 2:44.6. 2017 turbo S did a 2:46.8. The Z06 puts up 1.19 Gs on a 300 foot skid pad and stops from 70 mph in 128 feet according to Car and Driver. You’ve been living in a lie friend. Why do I know all this? Well I stopped buying Porsches and got a C7 Z06 with the Z07 package.

A 911 turbo s will consistently get better times for most weekend track enthusiasts and one could run "consistent" hot laps in the turbo s without dealing with the Zo6 notorious "over heating issues". Again the C7 Zo6 is a great for what it is especially given the price and value proposition but it's an inferior car in quality, fit & finish, engineering, and CONSISTENT track performance.
@@sdcharger21 the overheating issue was only a problem for earlier AUTOMATIC models and fixed in 2017. Which brings us to the next point, the turbo is a car for pussies because it doesn’t offer a manual and it’s too soft. The GT3 is the real Porsche for real drivers. That’s the one auto journalists always pick as well. I also disagree with your simplified assestment on consistent track performance. If you’ve ever gone to a track day, you’ll constantly see some dude in a Z06 embarrassing Porsches. Corvettes dominate American track days. The turbo’s brakes are mediocre in comparison to the record setting carbon ceramics in the Z07. The 991.2 turbo S needs 139 feet to stop from 70 mph, which is 11 feet more than the Z07’s 128 stopping distance. That’s time you’re losing from your lap at every turn, and it makes a difference even for rookies. Now stop making cute excuses for the 991.2 turbo S being slower at the track despite costing twice as much on the used market. I got tired of being in the slower car and justifying it with interior build quality. That’s why I switched away from Porsche after 3 cars and 8 years of ownership.

The GT cars are great cars and real drivers cars; however, that doesn't change the fact that the new Turbo-S is a superior car to the C7-Z06. The transmission in the Turbo-S is superb and thats just facts. The car isn't soft (no 640hp car is dumb dumb)...it's a capable track car with a main purpose of being a daily driver and does both track and DD better than the Z... knocking other people for acknowledging that fact is a bitch made move (a masculine mind frame is "to each his own"). Also, none of the over-heating issues were fixed and it affected both auto and "MANUAL" transmissions. Chevy tried to remedy the issue in 2017 but it wasn't an actual fix:

Several cars still had "over heating problems" on the track after the so-called 2017 remedy. If you consisteny run the C7-Z on the track without letting it "rest" it will over-heat PERIOD. The brakes, tranny, and engine of the Turbo-S are superb, especially for a grocery getter track car. The Turbo-S brakes are not as good a the Z, but they a far from mediocre (get out your feelings and stop hating because you own the inferior car thats supposed to be purpose built for the track 🤣👎🏾). I highly doubt stock Z's are dominating the new Turbo- S so clarify that (don't just say Porsches because Carrera and cayman's aren't part of the discussion but GT's are son). The Turbo-S is special and just as capable as the "old" Zo6 you own 🤡, and in the hands of non-pro drivers the Turbo-S may be even more capable because of it's drivability. Not to mention most people won't drive either car on the track and we both know the Turbo-S will tap that ass in 1/4 mile from a digg on the street or track boy. So congrats you saved a bunch of money and got the "INFERIOR" car that offers great value at it's price point. Now about the engines...I like both turbo and super charged cars...(because I'm not an emotional fanboy hater😏) so just be real and admit you switched cars because of the price, value and cost of ownership. Nobody in their right mind thinks anything Chevy has made so far thats "Naturally Aspirated" can compete with GT3 and the same for non N/A cars such as the GT2. You obviously never owned a GT2 because if you could afford it you wouldn't attempt to justify a C7-Z06 or ZR1 value as an equal trade off to what we both know the top Porsches can do. Now go sit you ass down somewhere and enjoy your lil ugly ass chevy...and next time grown folks is talk'n...shut your damn mouth.

Let me ask you Mr. keyboard warrior since you know so much about the turbo s, have you ever driven one? Have you ever even driven a Porsche? If you had, you’d know what I meant when I called the Turbo soft. The suspension and feel is noticeably softer when you hop in one after a GT car lol. I’m still a huge Porsche fan, and could easily end up buying another one. I’ve owned, test driven and rented their cars for years. I’ve tried everything from their Boxsters/Caymans and Carreras you hated on, to the Turbos and GTs you dream of. Right now Porsche doesn’t make anything that I truly desire. They don’t make a manual car that can drop the roof and outperform the Z06. I’m interested in the 2018 GT3 manual which is slightly slower but feels great. However it doesn’t have a see through targa roof like my Z06 which I greatly enjoy on trips. I feel the same way about the Viper which I also like. Never had overheating issues on my 2017 manual Z07, even before the cooling upgrades I made to it. I’ve heard the number of issues are greatly reduced on autos now and basically non-existent on manuals. Kudos to Chevy for the extended warranty though.

Ive watched all your vids and the guy thats always in the white Turbo S is probably not that good of a driver, i mean its really not hard to hit the gas and shift with a PDK. I have a 991.2 GT3 and I have yet to lose to anything that isnt a ferrari, lambo mclaren etc. and the Turbo S is faster than my GT3. The guy in the black Turbo S never lost...

Now one thing is for sure....No stock 991.2 turbo s will beat this z06 in this video. It's making near 700 whp. The black 991.2 does do things differently during roll races compared to the white one...which is the best I heard. Starts in manual to be in proper rpm then steps on it and shoves it into auto and back to sport immediately.

But rolling start (say 40mph) I can see Z06’s winning especially if they are modded. But the comment about Porsche “fan boys”...not sure what that means, sounds like a stereotype for Porsche owners. The only stereotype that is actually funny are the mustang owners

Those bolt ons add pretty minimal power. Your gains don’t come until you at least 85 tune and have a ton more add ons. He maybe got 30hp from all the bolt ons unless there’s something missing in the description. Don’t sleep on the Z06.
I'd still take the Porsche. Now do full bolt ons on it and re-run.

@@AutoGlory I wasn't being exact just making a point about depreciation. The Porsche is a superior car in every way and will hold it's value. You can make pretty much any car go fast. I've seen shitty litttle Civics that would beat both these cars. Not that I would want one.

No not really..got a friend who has a 911 turbo..he is scared to drive it much because he has alot of problems with it.. been garaged all of its life..i had a 89 corvette and when i sold it , it had 285k miles on it..bought it at 68k miles..all i ever had to do to it is replace the fuel pump..(30 min.).and a two u joints ( dragstrip wear and tear) best car i ever owned i beat on that car hard!! Never let me down..fuel pump went out in the driveway and i managed to limp home from the dragstrip..never left me stranded anywhere..loved that Vette!!

The 911 is sooo overrated. It’s an ugly outdated design that costs way more than the Z06 and it gets stomped every time by the Corvette. Porsche needs to up their game.
