Pray for your healthy baby and you. I was upset whenever someone asked me if i am excited to be gregnant....I was also not warned by anyone, how much pain, severe mood swings, weight gain, severe leg sparms, severe Oedema, food aversion, 24/7 morning sickness, severe reflux etc... a pregnant mum has to gone through... I can not list all of them....( if you do not have any pf these symptoms... You are so lucky....😂) in fact i love my baby who is growing well inside of me. I just accept the fact that this sickness will only last for 9months... Not my whole life😅But everyone is different. I hope you are ok. God bless you.

I’m 25 weeks along in my first pregnancy and it has been a rather difficult experience for me up to this point. In the first trimester I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, so I was sick all day and nearly every day for almost four months and even hospitalized once. Thankfully, by the grace and mercy of God, that’s gotten much better and nearly gone away. But now in my second trimester I’m experiencing some pretty gnarly exhaustion. Every day I’m struggling to have energy to do even the smallest of things. Taking all this into account, I’d say that the most important thing I’ve learned about pregnancy is that: while you’re pregnant, you should go easy on yourself, practice self-care constantly and have a good support system around you.
Thanks for the video, Delilah. God bless. 💐

I had a miscarriage between my two babies, and I think I suffered a little from ptsd...I don’t wanna use that word lightly, cause I know people who have traumatizing experiences and deal with ptsd, but throughout my pregnancy(the pregnancy after my miscarriage) I ended up with postnatal depression and major anxiety, and fear of losing my baby, i think it made it harder for me to bond with my unborn baby, cause I almost feel like I resented her, cause I was pregnant with her, and not with the baby I lost...its a hard pill to swallow and hard to come out and say it/admit it, cause it makes you feel like the worst mom, or like I don’t love my baby, I kept telling myself, once baby is here I’ll be better..well I did suffer from postpartum depression, and now that my baby is 10 months old, I’m still dealing with it, but I’m a lot better than I was and I’ve learned to cope. I have bonded with her, I love her to death, nothing is hindering me from loving her to the fullest, I’ve learned, just cause I grieved the loss of my baby I lost, it doesn’t make me a bad mom, and my hormones were and still are, way off. I still fight tears thinking about my baby I lost, I’m still struggling to move past it, but every time I look at my rainbow, I think of how blessed I am that God allowed me to have her, and so soon after losing my other baby.

Michaela Jones So sorry. I had 2 miscarriages and they were the most traumatizing experiences of my life. I suffered from anxiety, depression, and ptsd. Even getting my period each month was hard seeing blood because it reminded me of my miscarriage. I ended up going to a therapist and I realized that my angel babies were in a better place. My first baby would have had a horrible father and my second baby wouldn’t have had the best and I was in a hard place figuring out my life. I am now pregnant with my rainbow and currently 14 weeks pregnant. It’s hard to talk to my baby because I am scared I will get attached and lose my baby. But I realized that I rather my baby know how much his mom loves him or her rather than never hearing my voice or a I love you from me💝💙 God has blessed you with a sweet angel in heaven🙏🏻 It’s okay to grieve maybe get some professional help. Enjoy your baby on earth she is a blessing from god❤️🙏🏻

I have felt a deep and profound aching pain in my heart out of yearning to become a mother ever since I was 15 years old, and sometimes that pain would be so bad that I would have actual dysphoria when I would look in the mirror and not see a pregnant belly. I’m 22 now and I’m still not a mother or even married so that yearning has dulled a tiny bit but is still mostly the same. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada and here, you're first ultrasound is at 20 weeks, where you can find out the gender! We couldn't wait that long to check on our little one, so we went to a private clinic at 11 weeks to see it and hear the heart beat, which was amazing! That's when it hit me how real it was and how amazing it was I had a little life growing inside me!
We also cannot wait until 20 weeks to figure out the gender, so we are going back to the private clinic next week (at 16 weeks) to figure out the gender. Apparently since the baby has less chub on them at 16 weeks, it is easier to tell the gender. Pretty interesting, plus it is the earliest time they will confidently tell you.
Loving pregnancy so far, definitely had a bit of a rough first trimester but I still count myself lucky and now that I'm in the second trimester, it has been awesome so far!

I was a competitive swimmer for most of my life and had a lot of shoulder injuries so laying on my side and on my shoulders and hips gave me so much pain, no matter how many pregnancy pillows I had. Most night I just opted for sleeping sitting up because it was the only way I could actually sleep! Now that he is here, even with the short amount of sleep that I get, I still get better quality sleep versus when I was pregnant and could sleep for longer periods of time solely due to the reason of sleeping on my belly.

I definitely felt and knew I was pregnant with all of mine before my period was to come. I just felt. . different. I was only trying for the first but that one I felt the most because I started falling asleep at 8 PM when I was 22 years old and used to staying up pretty late. I got married at 20 btw. I live in Canada and I had ultrasounds monthly. You can have them, but you either pay out of pocket or your health insurance (if you have that through work) covers them. So I was very fortunate in getting to see my first monthly. With this pregnancy my OB has a handheld ultrasound machine and he does a quick check every appointment for free and that has been really nice as well.

Hi there! I just stumbled across this video, Thank you so much for making it. I am 21 weeks today with my first and I have been so excited to have a baby one day. It’s been so weird to grasp the concept that there is a baby in there. I have been feeling like a terrible person for not being able to fully get it. So far I really haven’t been enjoying pregnancy. I’ve had so much nausea/sickness I’ve lost 20 lbs so far. I’m still puking and man I wish there was a better understanding for society that it’s not the same for each woman/pregnancy.
However, I am so excited to have my baby girl!

I’m currently 28 weeks with my first and one thing I’ve hated is how people ask me how I’m doing. I know most of just making small talk and being polite, but I find that I really don’t want to talk to anyone about it unless I know they’re being genuine. I also hate the unsolicited advice and when people point out my weight gain like it’s a joke.
It’s been a journey grasping the reality of having a baby inside of me because I honestly still forget!

Thank you for your words about the differencesnb between the first and the second pregnancy. I'm experiencing something similar. I'm pregnant with my second and have an 18month old. I've been really sick (nausea, vomiting, low energy) and it hasn't really stopped at 12weeks like it did the first time. I'm also struggling emotionally, having times where I almost feel depressed. Struggling to be alone with toddler, struggling with work - even though either work og toddler has changed for the worse. But I certainly have. Just went down to part time at work and hope it will provide me with what I need to get through this pregnancy with more joy and a more positive attitude. So thank you for that. Struggling very much with the guilt and shame over my feelings as well.

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and have already had about 15 doctors appointments and 2 er visits. it has been SO hard on my body. It also has to do with the fact that I have an extensive cardiac history and had open heart surgery only 2 months before getting pregnant. But I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be this bad

I love you girl but you gotta do more research on the ingredients in function of beauty. I tried it and researched it and the ingredients were TERRIBLE! Known carcinogens and the like. The company is very sly about it, claiming things like “paraben free” but then they replace that ingredient with things that are just as bad if not worse under names the public isn’t as familiar with. 😞

Nuna A well the company is very vague about their ingredients and don’t give you a list until you actually make a purchase. (Because it’s “customized” for each person) Once I got my bottles and saw the full ingredient list I was shocked. I researched the ingredients one by one on multiple different sites and study articles, since a lot of them I had never seen before. They are quite sly. I reached out to the company telling them that I was disappointed and never got a reply. 😕

I'm 20 weeks and let me tell you, when you were talking about not being able to fathom there's a human inside of you, man did I agree. I think I'm only just now starting to believe it for real! My first trimester was SUPER rough, emotionally and physically, to the point that my husband and I were questioning if we were ready! But after our anatomy scan, we got a taste of this little ones personality (he/she wouldn't sit still and we only got one picture - and he/she's flipping us off in the picture!! 😂) We're realizing what's going on and we're giddy with happiness!
We really had to lean on the Lord and He has truly guided us through the hard times towards the light. Can't wait to meet munchkin in May!

I am pregnant with my first baby. And I had a bad start with bad hyperemesis gravidarum until I was 20 weeks far. I also got bleedings and had to spend some time in the hospital. My body used the 2nd trimester to recover from that but then soon the water build up and other issues appeared, so I was quite unable to do a lot of stuff and had pains and was leck of air. Plus the baby is laying upside down the belly doesn't sink and she squeezes her head into my stomach and rips... I am now 38+1 but I do not wanna miss this experience. But I am glad when she is finally here.

OK but underboob chafing is so real and i had never even heard of this before and lemme tell ya i did a TON of reading beforehand and never saw this coming :D . I thought there was something wrong with me when at about 8 months i got this awful pain under my breasts and it felt like my skin was very badly burnt but there was no visible sign of anything. It's my only "bad" symptom during my entire pregnancy and everybody just talking about morning sickness and here I am, barely sleeping at night because my underboobs hurt :D So i googled it and it turned out a lot of women have it and its because your belly is so big that the skin between belly and boobs gets kinda pinched and sweaty which combination causes this horror and the solution is washing, drying, moisturising and applying something cold but dry (I use my water bottle) and it saved me but still I cant wait for it to be over any day now. Hope I helped :D

My pregnancies with my boys were SO different from the ones with my girls! We have never found out our Baby's gender, but I have a pretty good idea, just from comparing things. Morning sickness, my mood, and whether or not I'm "glowing" are huge indicators for me!
I've really enjoyed following your journey. Still so funny to me that I was due May 11th and our son decided to come April 26th! I kept asking my hubby "has Delilah had her baby yet" while I was in the hospital 😅😅😅

Pregnancy is such a wild ride. I’ve known women who loved pregnancy, and had never felt more beautiful and others who had an absolute nightmarish time and all of these unique experiences are beautiful in their own way. Even when pregnancy is smooth and easy, it’s still hard- full of hormones, aches, pains and the weirdest symptoms. I’m 34 weeks with my second baby and haven’t been lucky enough to fall into the former category, did ya know you can get varicose veins in your lady parts?! Yeh, me either but here I am with an ice pack between my legs. I’ve suffered from horrendous HG the entire pregnancy so far, 3 preterm labour scares, recurrent kidney infections (9 of them), chest infections + pneumonia coupled with violent vomiting which resulted in 2 broken ribs, anaemia, SPD and now I’ve been diagnosed with Cholestasis which is making me feel like I might lose my mind. It’s been rough yet I know I’ll do it all over again because that little baby is just so worth it, these 9 months will be so insignificant in comparison to the lifetime of joy I get to experience with my children.

Oh goodness before I even was telling anyone I was pregnant, I was facetiming my grandmother in Iran and she says "wow marriage is really suiting you well!" (I had gotten married 2/3 months before) and I asked her what she meant. She says "you've gotten fat!" 😂 That was a nice thing to hear a few weeks into pregnancy lol. My grandmother has always been trying to fatten me up with seconds thirds fourths so it was meant nicely, but man did that bum me out for a hot minute 😨🍩 I laugh about it now 😂😂

  • @leenaparsons9876

I just didn't realize how much pregnancy would impact my body. I'm not as young as you, but I'm on the younger end of the spectrum for having kids this day and age, and I guess I'm not used to my body being so... difficult lol. My joints are killing me to the point of preventing me from doing regular things, and I'm not even halfway through my second trimester. I thought it was having a big belly in the third trimester that would cause mobility and pain issues, but it starts way earlier. I wasn't prepared for that, but it's worth it. It just makes me feel like a bit of a wimp because looking at me I don't think anyone would understand that I hurt my wrist putting paper into the shredder at work lol, and bending over more than three times per day makes my hips scream at me at night.

    • @leenaparsons9876
      @leenaparsons9876 4 года назад

I should add that this probably wouldn't happen to everyone because I had joint issues before pregnancy as well. I have hyper-mobile joints, and when you're pregnant the progesterone releases a chemical called relaxin into your system which makes your ligaments more stretchy in preparation for birth and the growth of your uterus, but my ligaments were already overly stretchy, so that's why being pregnant makes my wrist hurt lol.

Everyone told me I was having a girl. Everyone. all the old wives tales said I was having a girl. I had dreams that the baby was a girl I was convinced the baby was a girl. But he’s a boy and he’s here now and he’s amazing. I’m glad that you’re being honest about pregnancy I feel like people arent upfront about things. There was so much that happened that took me completely by surprise. I had a pretty lousy pregnancy if I’m being honest. 100% worth it for sure but not fun. My baby was a big breach and his head would knock against my ribs. I had a terrible second trimester and even worse third. The first eight weeks I never threw up or anything I was just tired insanely tired. I ended up having a C-section because of preeclampsia and gestational diabetes at 8 months. I knew preeclampsia was a thing because my sister had it. But I have no idea gestational diabetes even existed. Also the cravings were weird, but I didn’t have much problem with hormones. But my body hates pregnancy and I was sore and in so much pain pretty much the whole time. But I’m not saying all this to scare anyone. I would recommend pregnancy because the end result is so worth it. Not gonna lie there’s some really uncomfortable gross things about pregnancy. I don’t understand why our bodies haven’t found a better way to do this yet lol. I was a high-risk pregnancy the entire time due to my age at first and then other problems later. So I had a lot of ultrasounds non-stress test etc. I also got one of the 3-D ultrasounds. It was pretty cool but my baby looks really scary, and I was convinced he was ugly but I still loved him. But when he came out he was so beautiful I mean he did look like the ultrasound a little bit but in real life he just looked so much better. So anyone who gets one of these 3-D ultrasounds your babies going to look better than that ha ha! Also I wish I’d been able to work out more but I was just too tired and I hurt so bad, I had sciatica pretty badly the entire time and I was hospitalized several times due to the pain. My baby was 9 pounds in eight months so he was a bigger baby and I am a smaller person. I think if you’re not 5’1” like me Have a normal size baby you’ll be OK. Also all my friends were so much more supportive than I thought they would be and they’re not really kid people. All I could eat was Taco Bell vegan or vegetarian Taco Bell. I couldn’t smell the freezer for some reason opening the freezer made me feel really sick. I did find out the sex of my baby when I did the DNA test. I don’t know if I would recommend it or not. My hair got crazy thick and I’ve had stick straight hair my entire life but it turned really curly when I was pregnant. Now that I’m not pregnant it’s straight again? Yeah your nails grow pretty well and that’s nice but I didn’t really paint them the whole time I was pregnant. People are really nice to you around the end of your pregnancy, and a lot of people smile at you. You’re completely right though that most young people have no idea what pregnancy and tails they should really have better sex education in schools or parents should do a better job telling us what it’s actually like. I also hated pizza at the time it made me so sick and vegetarian hamburgers made me sick too. I only gained 15 pounds. I was scared I would had postpartum depression but I ended up not having it. This is embarrassing but the constant peeing was really hard for me, Another plus with maternity clothes are so loose and comfortable it was amazing to wear them I still wear some of the same things now that will still fit. I highly recommend if you can doing light exercise during pregnancy. I wish I pushed myself a little bit harder. Wow this is turning into a novel I guess I just have a lot to say about pregnancy. I’m so happy videos like this exist. I wish I had watched these during the beginning of my pregnancy
