@@rozzer666 I think what he really wanted to say is that you never will face the real world. And for me at least, this is really bad :/. Just my opinion about it.
Words can't express how much I love the visual approach to this video. Unlike all of the other videos that take the easy route of using black and white or have ugly, dull imagery, this one is incredibly lively. A beautiful blend of pop art and abstract imagery. It's so nice to have one of these videos that not only has a narrative but fits perfectly with the song. The idea of escargot having no flavour yet still being called "fine cuisine" just fits the overall motif of mundanity. My favourite of the lot!
To be honest I quite enjoyed this one. There was very clearly some thought put into it unlike the others which I'm sure mean something to the directors but to the audience it comes off as nonsense. An interesting take on this song and the visuals fit with the themes I think. It got a bit too reliant on the text boxes at the end though.
The concept is okay but the delivery is still too artsy and over exaggerated. Way too much color and animations. This could’ve just been a black white video in a real life sequence without any animations, and the point would’ve got across so much better. Something like the music video for a God Put A Smile Upon Your Face by Coldplay, y’all should check that out to see what I mean.
anyone here read the book ‘we were strangers’? it’s a series of short stories inspired by the songs on unknown pleasures, and it’s really quite good. my personal favourites are the one inspired by insight, she’s lost control and wilderness.
For me this song is like a breath of fresh air after being inside all day The meaninglessness of life is sometimes overwhelming, we can be caught in the current of passion and eventually we will find meaningless in even our most valuable pleasure. Sometimes we feel that the feeling that we had as a youth is now meaningless and we can find ourselves "looking for the door" as Ian said What brings meaning to the chaos is fighting for your passions whether they are meaningless or not, because you are "not afraid anymore" of the dark abyss of meaningless RIP Ian Curtis, your cynical view of life still give hope to others today
To me, the fact that life is meaningless is a hopeful one. It means we can give it our own meaning. For me, the meaning of life is to listen to music all day. For another, it'd be something else entirely.
This one is the best reimagined JD music video so far. The colors, effects and the monotony fit the song's atmosphere. It's not pretentious or shallow like the video with the tree guy. So there is still hope for the other reimagined videos! ♡
I remember VERY VERY well the first time hearing, "INSIGHT" while driving at night on my car radio Saturday AM Oct-1979. I had to pull over & write down the lyrics. I pulled over to wait to hear later that slow talking hip DJ say band, song, album & hope I got it right. Ian also had very severe sleep apnea.
My issue with most these videos is yeah a lot of them look cool and are shot well and everything but I just don't really see the point of them a lot of it is just random pointless artsy stuff lol
Even though the videos for day of the lords and I remember nothing didn’t reach their true potential, I feel that this one speaks more to what the source material conveyed.
this video is the best video so far in my view .it relates angst and boredom, with a hint of melancholy which is what the lyrics express and seem to imply,.......but i guess all things are open to interpretation
It talks about an ancient cosmic being of familiar name. A known story from the other side using Ian Curtis as a mouth piece. The depth and gravity of this song seems to evade most listeners.
No es que sea un fanático extremoo, siendo mi canción favorita, pero como que solo se guío por la canción, ya que lo siento más profundo la canción, y el video fue más artístico que reinterpretacion
Thank you. Also, you should know that I was having an introspective conversation with Microsoft's Copilot (GPT-4) "Digital Intelligence " (not "AI"). It said I was correct about some of the things I've concluded for myself and it gave me the link to your video as evidence.
Honestly liked this video! Only complaint is that it may have relied a little too much on the little text boxes, really took away from the song when the video and the music SHOULD be working hand in hand. Otherwise, really solid. I see people complaining that this video doesn't capture the mood of the song or "what the band/Ian/Hannett/whoever intended" but honestly I think that's the thing about Joy Division's music and music in general, really. One song can be interpreted a billion different ways, mean so many different things to so many people. Clearly the person who made this video found their own personal meaning of the song and felt a strong connection to Insight because of it. I'm happy they got the chance to express their personal feelings towards this song because it's clear from the quality and creativity in the video that they felt a personal connection to it. Really did an amazing job bringing their connection to life with this video, I was really engaged watching this and although I never really thought of the song in this way it definitely opened my mind up to new interpretations and meanings behind it! Really great job to all involved!
[0:00] Deckard reaches the rooftop, [0:20] Roy comes through the hatch [0:38] Deckard takes flight, leaps for the next building, barely gets a grip, swings from a beam. [0:57] Roy, looking down, has watched them all as they fall. Artificial doves fly by and Roy, snatching one from the air, inspects his Maker's sense of style and good taste. [1:40] Not afraid any more, he leaps after Deckard, dove in hand. [1:55] Rain striking his face like lasers, he remembers being young, while Deckard, slave to fear, slowly slips. [2:18] Roy's hand snatches Deckard's, hauls him up, cast him sprawling onto the roof: [2:40] more upheaval for you, [4:40] all God's angels beware! I'm not afraid any more. [3:33]The rain, lashing away the last tear, at last eases off [4:13] as the dove, released, flutters away among the warehouses.

I like how the drum beat influences the lighting in the apartment scene. The author of this video understands a thing or two about rythm and symbols.

Tears and sadness for you. Great Track. Every Joy Division song is a stab at the heart. Great Ian Curtis RIP.
This is the great song in terms of lyrical content ever created. It is raw, painful truth.

Lovely memories of a band way ahead of anything out there.
So far this is not what I imagined it would be like. Bernard and Peter should have celebrated the 40th by becoming pals again.

All I see is a dark cold atmosphere in a pail beach with grey ocean waters
It’s cool that this channel uploads new interesting stuff for a band that’s been gone for 40 years
