Hello! Love seeing your animatronics. Three questions. 1, do you plan on refining your mechs instead of using KNEX, for example using a 3D printer or using the colorado animatronics kit (I saw the testing video) 2, what materials do you use for the characters, and do you plan on using different materials? 3, how much did the pneumatics cost?
Hi! I don’t really plan on changing much with the mechs but I wouldn’t mind changing some stuff around in the future. I use a bunch of stuff for them. Fur and felt for most of the cosmetics, along with some cardboard. And Carls mech is made of wood and some Knex, Most of Simons mech is Knex. And you can usually find most pneumatic cylinders for about 20-30 bucks on Amazon
@@S.J.C._Entertainment Thanks for replying. That said, the compressor must be quite expensive, along with other tubes and flow controls. I think your animatronics would look good in a more complex mech. That said, you would have to probably use a more flexible material for mouth movement. You should try make an animatronic (maybe background animatronic) using the colorado animatronic mech you have! It might turn out great! Maybe a Munch JR style animatronic? 👀
@@rose-byte I don’t really have any space for any more characters at the moment. And I also like making my stuff from the ground up for the most part. So using a Colorado head isn’t something I’d really want to do. However I’m still trying to figure something out for the head soon, so if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them!
@@S.J.C._Entertainment I see, well for the head you could add more structural integrity to it. I've noticed Carl's mouth is quite loose, and the Flower is a bit hard to notice. If you ever plan on adding more, perhaps implement some more pizza time theatre style movement? (Where if the head moves, the torso moves). I'm not sure. That said, this is coming from a Brit who has never been in contact with a proper animatronic band before other than the one at Cadbury World!
